Por tanto, a la risa la tuve por desvarío, y dije al gozo o placeres mundanos: ¡Cuán vanamente te engañas!

A la risa dije: Enloqueces; y al placer: ¿De qué sirve esto?

I said of laughter, It is mad: and of mirth, What doeth it?

I said of laughter, “It is foolishness;” and of mirth, “What does it accomplish?”
