Que vantagem o homem tem com todo o trabalho pesado?
¿Qué provecho tiene el que trabaja en lo que trabaja?
What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?
What profit has he who works in that in which he labors?
Tenho visto o trabalho que Deus deu aos filhos dos homens para afligi-los.
Yo he visto el trabajo que Dios ha dado á los hijos de los hombres para que en él se ocupasen.
I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.

Todas as coisas têm seu valor quando são feitas na hora certa. Deus colocou o anseio pela eternidade no coração do homem, mas assim mesmo ele não consegue entender completamente os planos e as obras de Deus.
Todo lo hizo hermoso en su tiempo: y aun el mundo dió en su corazón, de tal manera que no alcance el hombre la obra de Dios desde el principio hasta el cabo.
He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

Por isso, concluí que não há nada melhor para o homem que se alegrar e praticar o bem enquanto viver;

descobri também que ele deve comer e beber; aproveitar o resultado de seu trabalho, porque é um presente de Deus.

Também aprendi que tudo o que Deus faz permanecerá para sempre — não se pode tirar nem pôr. O que Deus quer é que os homens o temam.

O que hoje existe, já existia no passado; o que vai surgir também já existiu antes. Deus faz aparecer de novo o que já tinha sido esquecido.
Aquello que fué, ya es: y lo que ha de ser, fué ya; y Dios restaura lo que pasó.
That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

Além disso, percebi também que debaixo do sol o crime toma o lugar da justiça; a impiedade, o lugar da honestidade.

Aí compreendi que Deus prova os homens para que vejam que não são melhores do que os animais.

Foi assim que eu descobri que o melhor para o homem é se alegrar com o seu trabalho, porque esta é a sua recompensa. Ninguém pode fazer o homem voltar depois de morto para aproveitar aquilo que ainda vai acontecer.
Así que he visto que no hay cosa mejor que alegrarse el hombre con lo que hiciere; porque esta es su parte: porque ¿quién lo llevará para que vea lo que ha de ser después de él?
