8Si en cualquier parte del país ves que un rico oprime al pobre haciendo abortar la justicia, no te sorprendas. Pues cada subalterno recibe órdenes de más arriba, y los más altos oficiales tienen la mirada puesta en sus jefes. Así es que la cuestión se hace una maraña de papeleo y burocracia. Y por sobre todos está el rey.

8Si violencias de pobres, y extorsión de derecho y de justicia vieres en la provincia, no te maravilles de esta licencia; porque alto está mirando sobre alto, y uno más alto está sobre ellos.

8If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they.

8If you see the oppression of the poor, and the violent taking away of justice and righteousness in a district, don’t marvel at the matter, for one official is eyed by a higher one, and there are officials over them.
