Denn solange einer überhaupt noch zu den Lebenden gehört, so lange hat er noch etwas zu hoffen; denn ein lebender Hund ist mehr wert als ein toter Löwe.

Aun hay esperanza para todo aquél que está entre los vivos; porque mejor es perro vivo que león muerto.

For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.
