Denn für jeden Lebendigen, wer er auch sei, ist noch Hoffnung (denn ein lebendiger Hund ist besser als ein toter Löwe);

Aun hay esperanza para todo aquél que está entre los vivos; porque mejor es perro vivo que león muerto.

For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.

For to him who is joined with all the living there is hope; for a living dog is better than a dead lion.
