Eclesiastés 9

Denn die Lebenden erkennen, dass sie sterben werden. Aber die Toten erkennen nichts. Und es bleibt ihnen nichts übrig, denn ihr Andenken ist vergessen.

Porque los que viven saben que han de morir: mas los muertos nada saben, ni tienen más paga; porque su memoria es puesta en olvido.

For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

For the living know that they will die, but the dead don’t know anything, neither do they have any more a reward; for their memory is forgotten.
