1Esta carta proviene de Pablo, un apóstol de Cristo Jesús conforme a la voluntad de Dios, para los cristianos en Éfeso y para los que creen en Cristo Jesús.
2Gracia y paz a ustedes de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.
3Alabado sea Dios, el Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, quien nos ha bendecido en Cristo con todo lo que es espiritualmente bueno en el mundo celestial,
4tal como nos eligió para estar en él antes del principio de este mundo, a fin de que en amor pudiéramos ser santos y sin falta delante de él.
5Él decidió de antemano adoptarnos como sus hijos, obrando mediante Jesucristo para traernos hacia él. Se complació en hacerlo porque así él lo quiso.
6Por eso lo alabamos, por su gloriosa gracia que con tanta bondad nos dio en su Hijo amado.
7A través de él obtenemos la salvación mediante su sangre, el perdón de nuestros pecados, como resultado de su preciosa gracia
8que con tanta generosidad nos dio, junto con toda la sabiduría y conocimiento.
9Él nos reveló su voluntad que hasta ese momento estaba oculta, y por medio de la cual se complació en llevar a cabo su plan
10en el momento apropiado para reunir a todos en Cristo, tanto los que están en el cielo, como los que están en la tierra.
11En Él fuimos escogidos de antemano, según el plan de Aquél que obra todas las cosas conforme a su voluntad,
12con el fin de que nosotros, los primeros en guardar la esperanza en Cristo, pudiéramos alabar su gloria.
13En Él ustedes también han escuchado la palabra de verdad, la buena noticia de su salvación. En Él, puesto que creyeron en él, fueron sellados con el sello de la promesa del Espíritu Santo,
14que es el anticipo de nuestra herencia cuando Dios redima lo que ha preservado para sí mismo: nosotros, quienes le adoraremos y le daremos gloria.
15Esa es la razón, pues he escuchado de su fe en el Señor Jesús y el amor que ustedes tienen por todos los cristianos,
16por lo cual nunca dejo de dar gracias a Dios por ustedes y recordarlos en mis oraciones.
17Oro para que el Dios de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, el Padre glorioso, les conceda un espíritu de sabiduría para que lo vean y lo conozcan como él es realmente.
18Que sus mentes sean iluminadas a fin de que puedan entender la esperanza a la cual él los ha llamado:
19las gloriosas riquezas que él promete como heredad a su pueblo fiel. Oro para que también puedan comprender el maravilloso poder de Dios
20que fue demostrado al levantar a Cristo de los muertos. Dios sentó a Cristo a su diestra en el cielo,
21por encima de cualquier otro gobernante, autoridad, poder o señor, o de cualquier líder, sin importar los títulos, y no solo en este mundo sino también en el mundo por venir.
22Dios ha sujetado todas las cosas a la autoridad de Cristo, y le ha dado la responsabilidad como cabeza sobre todas las cosas para la iglesia,
23que es su cuerpo. Cristo llena y completa a la iglesia, pues él llena y da plenitud a todas las cosas.

1PABLO, apóstol de Jesucristo por la voluntad de Dios, á los santos y fieles en Cristo Jesús que están en Efeso:
2Gracia sea á vosotros, y paz de Dios Padre nuestro, y del Señor Jesucristo.
3Bendito el Dios y Padre del Señor nuestro Jesucristo, el cual nos bendijo con toda bendición espiritual en lugares celestiales en Cristo:
4Según nos escogió en él antes de la fundación del mundo, para que fuésemos santos y sin mancha delante de él en amor;
5Habiéndonos predestinado para ser adoptados hijos por Jesucristo á sí mismo, según el puro afecto de su voluntad,
6Para alabanza de la gloria de su gracia, con la cual nos hizo aceptos en el Amado:
7En el cual tenemos redención por su sangre, la remisión de pecados por las riquezas de su gracia,
8Que sobreabundó en nosotros en toda sabiduría é inteligencia;
9Descubriéndonos el misterio de su voluntad, según su beneplácito, que se había propuesto en sí mismo,
10De reunir todas las cosas en Cristo, en la dispensación del cumplimiento de los tiempos, así las que están en los cielos, como las que están en la tierra:
11En él digo, en quien asimismo tuvimos suerte, habiendo sido predestinados conforme al propósito del que hace todas las cosas según el consejo de su voluntad,
12Para que seamos para alabanza de su gloria, nosotros que antes esperamos en Cristo.
13En el cual esperasteis también vosotros en oyendo la palabra de verdad, el evangelio de vuestra salud: en el cual también desde que creísteis, fuisteis sellados con el Espíritu Santo de la promesa,
14Que es las arras de nuestra herencia, para la redención de la posesión adquirida para alabanza de su gloria.
15Por lo cual también yo, habiendo oído de vuestra fe en el Señor Jesús, y amor para con todos los santos,
16No ceso de dar gracias por vosotros, haciendo memoria de vosotros en mis oraciones;
17Que el Dios del Señor nuestro Jesucristo, el Padre de gloria, os dé espíritu de sabiduría y de revelación para su conocimiento;
18Alumbrando los ojos de vuestro entendimiento, para que sepáis cuál sea la esperanza de su vocación, y cuáles las riquezas de la gloria de su herencia en los santos,
19Y cuál aquella supereminente grandeza de su poder para con nosotros los que creemos, por la operación de la potencia de su fortaleza,
20La cual obró en Cristo, resucitándole de los muertos, y colocándole á su diestra en los cielos,
21Sobre todo principado, y potestad, y potencia, y señorío, y todo nombre que se nombra, no sólo en este siglo, mas aun en el venidero:
22Y sometió todas las cosas debajo de sus pies, y diólo por cabeza sobre todas las cosas á la iglesia,
23La cual es su cuerpo, la plenitud de Aquel que hinche todas las cosas en todos.

1Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
7In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
8Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
9Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
10That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
11In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
12That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
15Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
16Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

1Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, to the saints who are at Ephesus, and the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
4even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and without defect before him in love,
5having predestined us for adoption as children through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire,
6to the praise of the glory of his grace, by which he freely gave us favor in the Beloved.
7In him we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace
8which he made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,
9making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in him
10to an administration of the fullness of the times, to sum up all things in Christ, the things in the heavens and the things on the earth, in him.
11We were also assigned an inheritance in him, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who does all things after the counsel of his will,
12to the end that we should be to the praise of his glory, we who had before hoped in Christ.
13In him you also, having heard the word of the truth, the Good News of your salvation—in whom, having also believed, you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,
14who is a pledge of our inheritance, to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of his glory.
15For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you and the love which you have toward all the saints,
16don’t cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers,
17that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him,
18having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might

21far above all rule, authority, power, dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come.
22He put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things for the assembly,
23which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.
