Esta carta proviene de Pablo, un apóstol de Cristo Jesús conforme a la voluntad de Dios, para los cristianos en Éfeso y para los que creen en Cristo Jesús.

Gracia y paz a ustedes de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.

Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Alabado sea Dios, el Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, quien nos ha bendecido en Cristo con todo lo que es espiritualmente bueno en el mundo celestial,
Bendito el Dios y Padre del Señor nuestro Jesucristo, el cual nos bendijo con toda bendición espiritual en lugares celestiales en Cristo:
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

tal como nos eligió para estar en él antes del principio de este mundo, a fin de que en amor pudiéramos ser santos y sin falta delante de él.
Según nos escogió en él antes de la fundación del mundo, para que fuésemos santos y sin mancha delante de él en amor;
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and without defect before him in love,
Él decidió de antemano adoptarnos como sus hijos, obrando mediante Jesucristo para traernos hacia él. Se complació en hacerlo porque así él lo quiso.
Habiéndonos predestinado para ser adoptados hijos por Jesucristo á sí mismo, según el puro afecto de su voluntad,
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
having predestined us for adoption as children through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire,
Por eso lo alabamos, por su gloriosa gracia que con tanta bondad nos dio en su Hijo amado.
Para alabanza de la gloria de su gracia, con la cual nos hizo aceptos en el Amado:
To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

A través de él obtenemos la salvación mediante su sangre, el perdón de nuestros pecados, como resultado de su preciosa gracia
En el cual tenemos redención por su sangre, la remisión de pecados por las riquezas de su gracia,
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
In him we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace
que con tanta generosidad nos dio, junto con toda la sabiduría y conocimiento.
Que sobreabundó en nosotros en toda sabiduría é inteligencia;
Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

Él nos reveló su voluntad que hasta ese momento estaba oculta, y por medio de la cual se complació en llevar a cabo su plan
Descubriéndonos el misterio de su voluntad, según su beneplácito, que se había propuesto en sí mismo,
Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

en el momento apropiado para reunir a todos en Cristo, tanto los que están en el cielo, como los que están en la tierra.
De reunir todas las cosas en Cristo, en la dispensación del cumplimiento de los tiempos, así las que están en los cielos, como las que están en la tierra:
That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
to an administration of the fullness of the times, to sum up all things in Christ, the things in the heavens and the things on the earth, in him.
En Él fuimos escogidos de antemano, según el plan de Aquél que obra todas las cosas conforme a su voluntad,
En él digo, en quien asimismo tuvimos suerte, habiendo sido predestinados conforme al propósito del que hace todas las cosas según el consejo de su voluntad,
In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
We were also assigned an inheritance in him, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who does all things after the counsel of his will,
con el fin de que nosotros, los primeros en guardar la esperanza en Cristo, pudiéramos alabar su gloria.
Para que seamos para alabanza de su gloria, nosotros que antes esperamos en Cristo.
That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
to the end that we should be to the praise of his glory, we who had before hoped in Christ.
En Él ustedes también han escuchado la palabra de verdad, la buena noticia de su salvación. En Él, puesto que creyeron en él, fueron sellados con el sello de la promesa del Espíritu Santo,
En el cual esperasteis también vosotros en oyendo la palabra de verdad, el evangelio de vuestra salud: en el cual también desde que creísteis, fuisteis sellados con el Espíritu Santo de la promesa,
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

que es el anticipo de nuestra herencia cuando Dios redima lo que ha preservado para sí mismo: nosotros, quienes le adoraremos y le daremos gloria.
Que es las arras de nuestra herencia, para la redención de la posesión adquirida para alabanza de su gloria.
Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
who is a pledge of our inheritance, to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of his glory.
Esa es la razón, pues he escuchado de su fe en el Señor Jesús y el amor que ustedes tienen por todos los cristianos,
Por lo cual también yo, habiendo oído de vuestra fe en el Señor Jesús, y amor para con todos los santos,
Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you and the love which you have toward all the saints,
por lo cual nunca dejo de dar gracias a Dios por ustedes y recordarlos en mis oraciones.
No ceso de dar gracias por vosotros, haciendo memoria de vosotros en mis oraciones;
Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

Oro para que el Dios de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, el Padre glorioso, les conceda un espíritu de sabiduría para que lo vean y lo conozcan como él es realmente.
Que el Dios del Señor nuestro Jesucristo, el Padre de gloria, os dé espíritu de sabiduría y de revelación para su conocimiento;
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

Que sus mentes sean iluminadas a fin de que puedan entender la esperanza a la cual él los ha llamado:
Alumbrando los ojos de vuestro entendimiento, para que sepáis cuál sea la esperanza de su vocación, y cuáles las riquezas de la gloria de su herencia en los santos,
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
las gloriosas riquezas que él promete como heredad a su pueblo fiel. Oro para que también puedan comprender el maravilloso poder de Dios
Y cuál aquella supereminente grandeza de su poder para con nosotros los que creemos, por la operación de la potencia de su fortaleza,
And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might
que fue demostrado al levantar a Cristo de los muertos. Dios sentó a Cristo a su diestra en el cielo,
La cual obró en Cristo, resucitándole de los muertos, y colocándole á su diestra en los cielos,
Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
which he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places,
por encima de cualquier otro gobernante, autoridad, poder o señor, o de cualquier líder, sin importar los títulos, y no solo en este mundo sino también en el mundo por venir.
Sobre todo principado, y potestad, y potencia, y señorío, y todo nombre que se nombra, no sólo en este siglo, mas aun en el venidero:
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
far above all rule, authority, power, dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come.
Dios ha sujetado todas las cosas a la autoridad de Cristo, y le ha dado la responsabilidad como cabeza sobre todas las cosas para la iglesia,
Y sometió todas las cosas debajo de sus pies, y diólo por cabeza sobre todas las cosas á la iglesia,
And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
He put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things for the assembly,
que es su cuerpo. Cristo llena y completa a la iglesia, pues él llena y da plenitud a todas las cosas.
La cual es su cuerpo, la plenitud de Aquel que hinche todas las cosas en todos.
Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
