nicht aus den Werken, auf daß sich nicht jemand rühme.

Y DE ella recibisteis vosotros, que estabais muertos en vuestros delitos y pecados,

And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

You were made alive when you were dead in transgressions and sins,

Denn wir sind sein Werk, geschaffen in Christo Jesu zu guten Werken, zu welchen Gott uns zuvor bereitet hat, daß wir darinnen wandeln sollen.

En que en otro tiempo anduvisteis conforme á la condición de este mundo, conforme al príncipe de la potestad del aire, el espíritu que ahora obra en los hijos de desobediencia:

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience.

Darum gedenket daran, daß ihr, die ihr weiland nach dem Fleisch Heiden gewesen seid und die Vorhaut genannt wurdet von denen, die genannt sind die Beschneidung nach dem Fleisch, die mit der Hand geschieht,

Entre los cuales todos nosotros también vivimos en otro tiempo en los deseos de nuestra carne, haciendo la voluntad de la carne y de los pensamientos; y éramos por naturaleza hijos de ira, también como los demás.

Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

We also all once lived among them in the lusts of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.

daß ihr zu derselbigen Zeit waret ohne Christum, fremd und außer der Bürgerschaft Israels und fremd von den Testamenten der Verheißung; daher ihr keine Hoffnung hattet und waret ohne Gott in der Welt.

Empero Dios, que es rico en misericordia, por su mucho amor con que nos amó,

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

Nun aber, die ihr in Christo Jesu seid und weiland ferne gewesen, seid nun nahe worden durch das Blut Christo.

Aun estando nosotros muertos en pecados, nos dió vida juntamente con Cristo; por gracia sois salvos;

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—

Denn er ist unser Friede, der aus beiden eins hat gemacht und hat abgebrochen den Zaun, der dazwischen war, in dem, daß er durch sein Fleisch wegnahm die Feindschaft,

Y juntamente nos resucitó, y asimismo nos hizo sentar en los cielos con Cristo Jesús,

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

nämlich das Gesetz, so in Geboten gestellet war, auf daß er aus zweien einen neuen Menschen in ihm selber schaffete und Frieden machete,

Para mostrar en los siglos venideros las abundantes riquezas de su gracia en su bondad para con nosotros en Cristo Jesús.

That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

und daß er beide versöhnete mit Gott in einem Leibe durch das Kreuz; und hat die Feindschaft getötet durch sich selbst

Porque por gracia sois salvos por la fe; y esto no de vosotros, pues es don de Dios:

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

und ist kommen, hat verkündiget im Evangelium den Frieden euch, die ihr ferne waret, und denen, die nahe waren.

No por obras, para que nadie se gloríe.

Not of works, lest any man should boast.

not of works, that no one would boast.

Denn durch ihn haben wir den Zugang alle beide in einem Geiste zum Vater.

Porque somos hechura suya, criados en Cristo Jesús para buenas obras, las cuales Dios preparó para que anduviésemos en ellas.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

So seid ihr nun nicht mehr Gäste und Fremdlinge, sondern Bürger mit den Heiligen und Gottes Hausgenossen,

Por tanto, acordaos que en otro tiempo vosotros los Gentiles en la carne, que erais llamados incircuncisión por la que se llama circuncisión, hecha con mano en la carne;

Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

Therefore remember that once you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “uncircumcision” by that which is called “circumcision” (in the flesh, made by hands),

erbauet auf den Grund der Apostel und Propheten, da Jesus Christus der Eckstein ist

Que en aquel tiempo estabais sin Cristo, alejados de la república de Israel, y extranjeros á los pactos de la promesa, sin esperanza y sin Dios en el mundo.

That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

that you were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

auf welchem der ganze Bau, ineinandergefüget, wächset zu, einem heiligen Tempel in dem HERRN,

Mas ahora en Cristo Jesús, vosotros que en otro tiempo estabais lejos, habéis sido hechos cercanos por la sangre de Cristo.

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off are made near in the blood of Christ.

auf welchem auch ihr mit erbauet werdet zu einer Behausung Gottes. im Geist.

Porque él es nuestra paz, que de ambos hizo uno, derribando la pared intermedia de separación;

For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

Derhalben ich, Paulus, der Gefangene Christi Jesu für euch Heiden,

Dirimiendo en su carne las enemistades, la ley de los mandamientos en orden á ritos, para edificar en sí mismo los dos en un nuevo hombre, haciendo la paz,

Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

having abolished in his flesh the hostility, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man of the two, making peace,

nachdem ihr gehöret habt von dem Amt der Gnade Gottes, die mir an euch gegeben ist,

Y reconciliar por la cruz con Dios á ambos en un mismo cuerpo, matando en ella las enemistades.

And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, having killed the hostility through it.

daß mir ist kund worden dieses Geheimnis durch Offenbarung, wie ich droben aufs kürzeste geschrieben habe,

Y vino, y anunció la paz á vosotros que estabais lejos, y á los que estaban cerca:

And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

He came and preached peace to you who were far off and to those who were near.

daran ihr, so ihr's leset, merken könnet meinen Verstand an dem Geheimnis Christi,

Que por él los unos y los otros tenemos entrada por un mismo Espíritu al Padre.

For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

welches nicht kundgetan ist in den vorigen Zeiten den Menschenkindern, als es nun offenbart ist seinen heiligen Aposteln und Propheten durch den Geist,

Así que ya no sois extranjeros ni advenedizos, sino juntamente ciudadanos con los santos, y domésticos de Dios;

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God,

nämlich daß die Heiden Miterben seien und mit eingeleibet und Mitgenossen seiner Verheißung in Christo durch das Evangelium,

Edificados sobre el fundamento de los apóstoles y profetas, siendo la principal piedra del ángulo Jesucristo mismo;

And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief cornerstone;

des ich ein Diener worden bin nach der Gabe aus der Gnade Gottes, die mir nach seiner mächtigen Kraft gegeben ist:

En el cual, compaginado todo el edificio, va creciendo para ser un templo santo en el Señor:

In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

in whom the whole building, fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord;

mir, dem allergeringsten unter allen Heiligen, ist gegeben diese Gnade, unter den Heiden zu verkündigen den unausforschlichen Reichtum Christi

En el cual vosotros también sois juntamente edificados, para morada de Dios en Espíritu.

In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
