1A cause de cela, moi Paul, le prisonnier de Christ pour vous païens…
2si du moins vous avez appris quelle est la dispensation de la grâce de Dieu, qui m’a été donnée pour vous.
3C’est par révélation que j’ai eu connaissance du mystère sur lequel je viens d’écrire en peu de mots.
4En les lisant, vous pouvez vous représenter l’intelligence que j’ai du mystère de Christ.
5Il n’a pas été manifesté aux fils des hommes dans les autres générations, comme il a été révélé maintenant par l’Esprit aux saints apôtres et prophètes de Christ.
6Ce mystère, c’est que les païens sont cohéritiers, forment un même corps, et participent à la même promesse en Jésus-Christ par l’Évangile,
7dont j’ai été fait ministre selon le don de la grâce de Dieu, qui m’a été accordée par l’efficacité de sa puissance.
8A moi, qui suis le moindre de tous les saints, cette grâce a été accordée d’annoncer aux païens les richesses incompréhensibles de Christ,
9et de mettre en lumière quelle est la dispensation du mystère caché de tout temps en Dieu qui a créé toutes choses,
10afin que les dominations et les autorités dans les lieux célestes connaissent aujourd’hui par l’Église la sagesse infiniment variée de Dieu,
11selon le dessein éternel qu’il a mis à exécution par Jésus-Christ notre Seigneur,
12en qui nous avons, par la foi en lui, la liberté de nous approcher de Dieu avec confiance.
13Aussi je vous demande de ne pas perdre courage à cause de mes tribulations pour vous: elles sont votre gloire.
14A cause de cela, je fléchis les genoux devant le Père,
15duquel tire son nom toute famille dans les cieux et sur la terre,
16afin qu’il vous donne, selon la richesse de sa gloire, d’être puissamment fortifiés par son Esprit dans l’homme intérieur,
17en sorte que Christ habite dans vos cœurs par la foi; afin qu’étant enracinés et fondés dans l’amour,
18vous puissiez comprendre avec tous les saints quelle est la largeur, la longueur, la profondeur et la hauteur,
19et connaître l’amour de Christ, qui surpasse toute connaissance, en sorte que vous soyez remplis jusqu’à toute la plénitude de Dieu.
20Or, à celui qui peut faire, par la puissance qui agit en nous, infiniment au-delà de tout ce que nous demandons ou pensons,
21à lui soit la gloire dans l’Église et en Jésus-Christ, dans toutes les générations, aux siècles des siècles! Amen!

1POR esta causa yo Pablo, prisionero de Cristo Jesús por vosotros los Gentiles,
2Si es que habéis oído la dispensación de la gracia de Dios que me ha sido dada para con vosotros,
3A saber, que por revelación me fué declarado el misterio, como antes he escrito en breve;
4Leyendo lo cual podéis entender cuál sea mi inteligencia en el misterio de Cristo:
5El cual misterio en los otros siglos no se dió á conocer á los hijos de los hombres como ahora es revelado á sus santos apóstoles y profetas en el Espíritu:
6Que los Gentiles sean juntamente herederos, é incorporados, y consortes de su promesa en Cristo por el evangelio:
7Del cual yo soy hecho ministro por el don de la gracia de Dios que me ha sido dado según la operación de su potencia.
8A mí, que soy menos que el más pequeño de todos los santos, es dada esta gracia de anunciar entre los Gentiles el evangelio de las inescrutables riquezas de Cristo,
9Y de aclarar á todos cuál sea la dispensación del misterio escondido desde los siglos en Dios, que crió todas las cosas.
10Para que la multiforme sabiduría de Dios sea ahora notificada por la iglesia á los principados y potestades en los cielos,
11Conforme á la determinación eterna, que hizo en Cristo Jesús nuestro Señor:
12En el cual tenemos seguridad y entrada con confianza por la fe de él.
13Por tanto, pido que no desmayéis á causa de mis tribulaciones por vosotros, las cuales son vuestra gloria.
14Por esta causa doblo mis rodillas al Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo,
15Del cual es nombrada toda la parentela en los cielos y en la tierra,
16Que os dé, conforme á las riquezas de su gloria, el ser corroborados con potencia en el hombre interior por su Espíritu.
17Que habite Cristo por la fe en vuestros corazones; para que, arraigados y fundados en amor,
18Podáis bien comprender con todos los santos cuál sea la anchura y la longura y la profundidad y la altura,
19Y conocer el amor de Cristo, que excede á todo conocimiento, para que seáis llenos de toda la plenitud de Dios.
20Y á Aquel que es poderoso para hacer todas las cosas mucho más abundantemente de lo que pedimos ó entendemos, por la potencia que obra en nosotros,
21A él sea gloria en la iglesia por Cristo Jesús, por todas edades del siglo de los siglos. Amén.

1For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
2If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
3How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
4Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
5Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
6That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
7Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
8Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
9And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
10To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
11According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
12In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
13Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
14For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
20Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

1For this cause I, Paul, am the prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles,
2if it is so that you have heard of the administration of that grace of God which was given me toward you,
3how that by revelation the mystery was made known to me, as I wrote before in few words,
4by which, when you read, you can perceive my understanding in the mystery of Christ,
5which in other generations was not made known to the children of men, as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit,
6that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of his promise in Christ Jesus through the Good News,
7of which I was made a servant according to the gift of that grace of God which was given me according to the working of his power.
8To me, the very least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,
9and to make all men see what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God, who created all things through Jesus Christ,
10to the intent that now through the assembly the manifold wisdom of God might be made known to the principalities and the powers in the heavenly places,
11according to the eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.
12In him we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him.
13Therefore I ask that you may not lose heart at my troubles for you, which are your glory.
14For this cause, I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,
16that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person,
