Por tanto yo, un prisionero por causa del Señor, los exhorto a vivir de una manera digna del llamamiento que recibieron
YO pues, preso en el Señor, os ruego que andéis como es digno de la vocación con que sois llamados;

con toda humildad y mansedumbre. Sopórtense con longanimidad unos a otros en amor.

Hay un solo cuerpo y un solo Espíritu, como también fueron llamados con una sola esperanza de su vocación,

El que descendió es el mismo que también ascendió por encima de todos los cielos para llenar todas las cosas.

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
for the perfecting of the saints, to the work of serving, to the building up of the body of Christ,
hasta que todos alcancemos la unidad de la fe y del conocimiento del Hijo de Dios, para que seamos una persona madura, según la medida total de la plenitud de Cristo,
Hasta que todos lleguemos á la unidad de la fe y del conocimiento del Hijo de Dios, á un varón perfecto, á la medida de la edad de la plenitud de Cristo:
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,
para que ya no seamos niños fluctuantes, llevados a la deriva por todo viento de enseñanza, según la astucia de los hombres que emplean las artimañas del error para engañar.
Que ya no seamos niños fluctuantes, y llevados por doquiera de todo viento de doctrina, por estratagema de hombres que, para engañar, emplean con astucia los artificios del error:
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;
Pero al practicar la verdad en amor, crezcamos en todas las cosas en Aquel que es la Cabeza, Cristo,

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

de Quien todo el cuerpo, ajustado y entrelazado por la cohesión que aportan todas las coyunturas, se desarrolla para el crecimiento del cuerpo según la actividad propia de cada miembro para edificarse en amor.
Del cual, todo el cuerpo compuesto y bien ligado entre sí por todas las junturas de su alimento, que recibe según la operación, cada miembro conforme á su medida toma aumento de cuerpo edificándose en amor.
From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Digo esto y afirmo en el Señor: que ustedes ya no vivan como viven los gentiles, en la vanidad de su mente,

que tienen el entendimiento oscurecido, desprovistos de la vida de Dios a causa de la ignorancia que hay en ellos por la dureza de su corazón.
Teniendo el entendimiento entenebrecido, ajenos de la vida de Dios por la ignorancia que en ellos hay, por la dureza de su corazón:
Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their hearts.
Ellos endurecieron y se entregaron a la sensualidad para buscar con avidez toda clase de impureza.
Los cuales después que perdieron el sentido de la conciencia, se entregaron á la desvergüenza para cometer con avidez toda suerte de impureza.
Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
They, having become callous, gave themselves up to lust, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
Pero ustedes no entendieron así a Cristo,
Mas vosotros no habéis aprendido así á Cristo:
But ye have not so learned Christ;
But you didn’t learn Christ that way,
si en verdad lo oyeron y fueron enseñados por Él según la verdad que está en Jesús.
Si empero lo habéis oído, y habéis sido por él enseñados, como la verdad está en Jesús,
If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
if indeed you heard him and were taught in him, even as truth is in Jesus:
Con respecto a su anterior manera de vivir, despójense del viejo ser que está viciado según los deseos ardientes del engaño.
A que dejéis, cuanto á la pasada manera de vivir, el viejo hombre que está viciado conforme á los deseos de error;
That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
that you put away, as concerning your former way of life, the old man that grows corrupt after the lusts of deceit,
Sean renovados en el espíritu de su mente,
Y á renovaros en el espíritu de vuestra mente,
And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
y vístanse el nuevo ser, que fue creado según Dios en justicia y santidad de la verdad.
Y vestir el nuevo hombre que es criado conforme á Dios en justicia y en santidad de verdad.
And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.
Por tanto despójense de la mentira, hablen verdad cada uno con su prójimo, porque somos miembros los unos de los otros.

Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

Aírense, pero no pequen. El sol no se ponga sobre su enojo,
Airaos, y no pequéis; no se ponga el sol sobre vuestro enojo;
Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
“Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath,
ni den lugar al diablo.
Ni deis lugar al diablo.
Neither give place to the devil.

El que robaba ya no robe, sino haga con sus manos lo bueno, para que tenga qué compartir con el necesitado.
El que hurtaba, no hurte más; antes trabaje, obrando con sus manos lo que es bueno, para que tenga de qué dar al que padeciere necesidad.
Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, producing with his hands something that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need.
Que ninguna palabra malsana salga de su boca, sino la que sea buena para la necesaria edificación, a fin de que dé gracia a los que oyen.
Ninguna palabra torpe salga de vuestra boca, sino la que sea buena para edificación, para que dé gracia á los oyentes.
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear.
No entristezcan al Espíritu Santo de Dios, con el cual fueron sellados para el día de la redención.
Y no contristéis al Espíritu Santo de Dios, con el cual estáis sellados para el día de la redención.
And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
Que se quite de ustedes toda amargura, enojo, ira, gritería, calumnia y malicia.
Toda amargura, y enojo, é ira, y voces, y maledicencia sea quitada de vosotros, y toda malicia:
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice.
Sean bondadosos los unos con los otros, compasivos. Perdónense los unos a los otros como también Dios los perdonó a ustedes en Cristo.
Antes sed los unos con los otros benignos, misericordiosos, perdonándoos los unos á los otros, como también Dios os perdonó en Cristo.
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.
