Efesios 4

Yo por lo tanto, preso en el Señor, les ruego que anden como es digno de la vocación †llamamiento, reclutamiento con que fueron llamados,

YO pues, preso en el Señor, os ruego que andéis como es digno de la vocación con que sois llamados;

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

con toda humildad y mansedumbre, soportándose con paciencia los unos a los otros en amor,

With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

solícitos en guardar la unidad del Espíritu en el vínculo de la paz;

Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

un cuerpo, y un Espíritu, como fueron también llamados en una misma esperanza de su †de ustedes vocación †llamamiento, reclutamiento;

Un cuerpo, y un Espíritu; como sois también llamados á una misma esperanza de vuestra vocación:

There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

un Señor, una fe, un bautismo,

One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

un Dios y Padre de todos, el cual es sobre todos, y por todos, y en todos.

One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Pero a cada uno de nosotros fue dada la gracia conforme a la medida del don de Cristo.

But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Por lo cual dice: Subiendo a lo alto, llevó cautiva la cautividad, Y dio dones a los hombres.

Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

Y eso de que subió, ¿qué es, sino que también había descendido primero a las partes más bajas de la tierra?

(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

El que descendió, es el mismo que también subió por encima de todos los cielos para llenarlo todo.

El que descendió, él mismo es el que también subió sobre todos los cielos para cumplir todas las cosas.)

He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

Y él mismo constituyó a unos, apóstoles; a otros, profetas; a otros, evangelistas; a otros, pastores y maestros,

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, shepherds and teachers;

a fin de perfeccionar a los santos para la obra del ministerio, para la edificación del cuerpo de Cristo,

Para perfección de los santos, para la obra del ministerio, para edificación del cuerpo de Cristo;

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

for the perfecting of the saints, to the work of serving, to the building up of the body of Christ,

hasta que todos lleguemos a la unidad de la fe y del conocimiento del Hijo de Dios, a un varón perfecto, a la medida de la estatura de la plenitud de Cristo;

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,

para que ya no seamos niños fluctuantes, llevados por doquiera de todo viento de doctrina, por estratagema de hombres que para engañar emplean con astucia las artimañas del error,

Que ya no seamos niños fluctuantes, y llevados por doquiera de todo viento de doctrina, por estratagema de hombres que, para engañar, emplean con astucia los artificios del error:

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;

sino que siguiendo la verdad en amor, crezcamos en todo en aquel que es la cabeza, esto es, Cristo,

Antes siguiendo la verdad en amor, crezcamos en todas cosas en aquel que es la cabeza, á saber, Cristo;

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ,

de quien todo el cuerpo, bien concertado y unido entre sí por todas las coyunturas que se ayudan mutuamente, según la actividad propia de cada miembro, recibe su crecimiento para ir edificándose en amor.

Del cual, todo el cuerpo compuesto y bien ligado entre sí por todas las junturas de su alimento, que recibe según la operación, cada miembro conforme á su medida toma aumento de cuerpo edificándose en amor.

From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

from whom all the body, being fitted and knit together through that which every joint supplies, according to the working in measure of each individual part, makes the body increase to the building up of itself in love.

Esto, por lo tanto, digo y requiero en el Señor: que ya no anden como los otros gentiles, que andan en la vanidad de su mente,

This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

teniendo el entendimiento entenebrecido, ajenos de la vida de Dios por la ignorancia que en ellos hay, por la dureza de su corazón;

Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

los cuales, después que perdieron toda sensibilidad, se entregaron a la lascivia †conducta libertina y descarada para cometer con avidez toda clase de impureza.

Los cuales después que perdieron el sentido de la conciencia, se entregaron á la desvergüenza para cometer con avidez toda suerte de impureza.

Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

They, having become callous, gave themselves up to lust, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

Mas ustedes no han aprendido así a Cristo,

Mas vosotros no habéis aprendido así á Cristo:

But ye have not so learned Christ;

But you didn’t learn Christ that way,

«si en verdad» le han escuchado, y han sido por él enseñados, conforme a la verdad que está en Jesús.

Si empero lo habéis oído, y habéis sido por él enseñados, como la verdad está en Jesús,

If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

if indeed you heard him and were taught in him, even as truth is in Jesus:

En cuanto a la pasada manera de vivir, despójense del viejo hombre, que está viciado conforme a los deseos engañosos,

A que dejéis, cuanto á la pasada manera de vivir, el viejo hombre que está viciado conforme á los deseos de error;

That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

that you put away, as concerning your former way of life, the old man that grows corrupt after the lusts of deceit,

y renuévense en el espíritu de su †de ustedes mente,

Y á renovaros en el espíritu de vuestra mente,

And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,

y vístanse del nuevo hombre, creado según Dios en la justicia y santidad de la verdad.

Y vestir el nuevo hombre que es criado conforme á Dios en justicia y en santidad de verdad.

And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.

Por lo cual, desechando la mentira, hablen verdad cada uno con su prójimo; porque somos miembros los unos de los otros.

Por lo cual, dejada la mentira, hablad verdad cada uno con su prójimo; porque somos miembros los unos de los otros.

Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor, for we are members of one another.

Aírense, pero no pequen; no se ponga el sol sobre su †de ustedes enojo,

Airaos, y no pequéis; no se ponga el sol sobre vuestro enojo;

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

“Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath,

ni den lugar al diablo.

Ni deis lugar al diablo.

Neither give place to the devil.

and don’t give place to the devil.

El que robaba †hurtaba, no robe †hurte más, sino trabaje, haciendo con sus manos lo que es bueno, para que tenga qué compartir con el que padece necesidad.

El que hurtaba, no hurte más; antes trabaje, obrando con sus manos lo que es bueno, para que tenga de qué dar al que padeciere necesidad.

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, producing with his hands something that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need.

Ninguna palabra corrompida salga de su †de ustedes boca, sino la que sea buena para la necesaria edificación, a fin de dar gracia a los oyentes.

Ninguna palabra torpe salga de vuestra boca, sino la que sea buena para edificación, para que dé gracia á los oyentes.

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear.

Y no contristen al Espíritu Santo de Dios, con el cual fueron sellados para el día de la liberación †redención.

Y no contristéis al Espíritu Santo de Dios, con el cual estáis sellados para el día de la redención.

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Quítense de ustedes toda amargura, enojo, ira †furia, gritería y maledicencia †calumnia, blasfemia, y toda malicia.

Toda amargura, y enojo, é ira, y voces, y maledicencia sea quitada de vosotros, y toda malicia:

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice.

Antes sean benignos unos con otros, misericordiosos, perdonándose unos a otros, como Dios también les perdonó a ustedes en Cristo.

Antes sed los unos con los otros benignos, misericordiosos, perdonándoos los unos á los otros, como también Dios os perdonó en Cristo.

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.
