Efesios 5

Sean seguidores de Dios, como hijos amados;

SED, pues, imitadores de Dios como hijos amados:

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children.

Y anden en amor, así como Cristo tuvo amor por ustedes, y se entregó a sí mismo por nosotros, una ofrenda y sacrificio, como un dulce perfume para Dios.

Y andad en amor, como también Cristo nos amó, y se entregó á sí mismo por nosotros, ofrenda y sacrificio á Dios en olor suave.

And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

Walk in love, even as Christ also loved us and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.

Pero fornicación y todas las cosas inmundas, o el deseo por la propiedad de otros, ni siquiera sea nombrado entre ustedes, como es correcto para los santos ;

Pero fornicación y toda inmundicia, ó avaricia, ni aun se nombre entre vosotros, como conviene á santos;

But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;

But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints;

No digan indecencias, ni tonterías, ni vulgaridades, que no son correctas, sino en lugar de ellas, alabanza.

Ni palabras torpes, ni necedades, ni truhanerías, que no convienen; sino antes bien acciones de gracias.

Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

Cierto es esto, que ningún fornicario, ni persona inmunda, ni quien desee las propiedades de los demás, ni que adore las imágenes, tiene alguna herencia en el reino de Cristo y Dios.

Porque sabéis esto, que ningún fornicario, ó inmundo, ó avaro, que es servidor de ídolos, tiene herencia en el reino de Cristo y de Dios.

For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Know this for sure, that no sexually immoral person, nor unclean person, nor covetous man (who is an idolater), has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God.

Nadie lo desvíe del camino recto con palabras insensatas; porque a causa de estas cosas el castigo de Dios viene sobre aquellos que no obedecen.

Nadie os engañe con palabras vanas; porque por estas cosas viene la ira de Dios sobre los hijos de desobediencia.

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.

No te hagas partícipe con tales hombres;

No seáis pues aparceros con ellos;

Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

Therefore don’t be partakers with them.

Porque en otro tiempo ustedes estaban a oscuras, pero ahora son luz en el Señor: permitan que su conducta sea la de los hijos de luz.

Porque en otro tiempo erais tinieblas; mas ahora sois luz en el Señor: andad como hijos de luz,

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,

Porque el fruto de la luz es en toda justicia y en todo lo que es bueno y verdadero,

(Porque el fruto del Espíritu es en toda bondad, y justicia, y verdad;)

(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth,

Procuren, hacer lo que le agrada al Señor;

Aprobando lo que es agradable al Señor.

Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

proving what is well pleasing to the Lord.

Y no hagan compañía en las obras de la oscuridad, que no dan fruto, sino Reprendan la oscuridad;

Y no comuniquéis con las obras infructuosas de las tinieblas; sino antes bien redargüidlas.

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them.

Porque lo que en secreto hacen, es vergonzoso expresarlo con palabras.

Porque torpe cosa es aun hablar de lo que ellos hacen en oculto.

For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

For it is a shame even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret.

Pero cuando todas las cosas, son puestas al descubierto por la luz su verdadera cualidad, quedan claras a la luz: porque la luz manifiesta todo.

Mas todas las cosas cuando son redargüidas, son manifestadas por la luz; porque lo que manifiesta todo, la luz es.

But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

But all things, when they are reproved, are revealed by the light, for everything that reveals is light.

Por esta razón él dice:Despiértate, tú que duermes, y levántate de entre los muertos, y Cristo será tu luz.

Por lo cual dice: Despiértate, tú que duermes, y levántate de los muertos, y te alumbrará Cristo.

Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

Therefore he says, “Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”

Cuídate entonces de cómo estás viviendo, no como imprudente, sino como sabio;

Mirad, pues, cómo andéis avisadamente; no como necios, mas como sabios;

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise,

Haciendo un buen uso del tiempo, porque los días son malos.

Redimiendo el tiempo, porque los días son malos.

Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Por esta razón, entonces, no seas insensato, sino sé consciente de cuál es la voluntad del Señor.

Por tanto, no seáis imprudentes, sino entendidos de cuál sea la voluntad del Señor.

Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

Therefore, don’t be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Y no tomes mucho vino por el cual uno puede ser vencido, sino lleno del Espíritu;

Y no os embriaguéis de vino, en lo cual hay disolución; mas sed llenos de Espíritu;

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,

Uniéndose unos a otros en cánticos de alabanza y de Espíritu, usando su voz en canciones y haciendo melodía en su corazón al Señor;

Hablando entre vosotros con salmos, y con himnos, y canciones espirituales, cantando y alabando al Señor en vuestros corazones;

Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

Den siempre gracias a Dios en todo momento por todas las cosas en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo;

Dando gracias siempre de todo al Dios y Padre en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo:

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

giving thanks always concerning all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;

Sométanse unos a otros en el temor de Cristo.

Sujetados los unos á los otros en el temor de Dios.

Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

subjecting yourselves to one another in the fear of Christ.

Esposas, estén sujetas a sus maridos, como al Señor.

Las casadas estén sujetas á sus propios maridos, como al Señor.

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.

Porque el marido es la cabeza de la esposa, como Cristo es la cabeza de la iglesia, siendo él mismo el salvador del cuerpo.

Porque el marido es cabeza de la mujer, así como Cristo es cabeza de la iglesia; y él es el que da la salud al cuerpo.

For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body.

Y como la iglesia está bajo la autoridad de Cristo, así también las mujeres estén bajo el gobierno de sus maridos en todo.

Así que, como la iglesia está sujeta á Cristo, así también las casadas lo estén á sus maridos en todo.

Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything.

Maridos, tengan amor por sus esposas, así como Cristo tuvo amor por la iglesia, y se entregó a sí mismo por ella,

Maridos, amad á vuestras mujeres, así como Cristo amó á la iglesia, y se entregó á sí mismo por ella,

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for her,

Para santificarla, habiéndola purificado por el lavamiento del agua por la palabra,

Para santificarla limpiándola en el lavacro del agua por la palabra,

That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,

Y tomarla para sí mismo, una iglesia llena de gloria, sin tener una mancha, ni arruga, ni cosa semejante; pero santa y perfecta.

Para presentársela gloriosa para sí, una iglesia que no tuviese mancha ni arruga, ni cosa semejante; sino que fuese santa y sin mancha.

That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without defect.

Así también es correcto que los maridos tengan amor por sus esposas y por sus cuerpos. El que ama a su esposa se ama a sí mismo:

Así también los maridos deben amar á sus mujeres como á sus mismos cuerpos. El que ama á su mujer, á sí mismo se ama.

So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

Even so husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself.

Porque nadie tuvo nunca odio por su carne; pero él le da comida y la cuida, así como Cristo lo hace por la iglesia;

Porque ninguno aborreció jamás á su propia carne, antes la sustenta y regala, como también Cristo á la iglesia;

For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

For no man ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly,

Porque ella es su cuerpo, somos parte de ese cuerpo.

Porque somos miembros de su cuerpo, de su carne y de sus huesos.

For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones.

Por esta causa, el hombre se apartará de su padre y de su madre, y se unirá a su mujer, y los dos se convertirán en una sola carne.

Por esto dejará el hombre á su padre y á su madre, y se allegará á su mujer, y serán dos en una carne.

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

“For this cause a man will leave his father and mother and will be joined to his wife. Then the two will become one flesh.”

Este es un gran secreto: pero mis palabras son acerca de Cristo y la iglesia.

Este misterio grande es: mas yo digo esto con respecto á Cristo y á la iglesia.

This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and the assembly.

Pero ustedes, todos, tienen amor por su esposa, como para sí mismo; y deja que la esposa vea que ella respete a su esposo.

Cada uno empero de vosotros de por sí, ame también á su mujer como á sí mismo; y la mujer reverencie á su marido.

Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
