Que ni la fornication, ni aucune souillure, ni l’avarice, ne soient pas même nommées parmi vous, ainsi qu’il est convenable à des Saints ;

Que personne ne vous séduise par de vains discours, car à cause de ces choses la colère de Dieu vient sur les rebelles.
Nadie os engañe con palabras vanas; porque por estas cosas viene la ira de Dios sobre los hijos de desobediencia.
Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

Car il est même déshonnête de dire les choses qu’ils font en secret.

Mais toutes choses étant mises en évidence par la lumière, sont rendues manifestes ; car la lumière est celle qui manifeste tout.

But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

C’est pourquoi il est dit : Réveille-toi, toi qui dors, et te relève d’entre les morts, et Christ t’éclairera.
Por lo cual dice: Despiértate, tú que duermes, y levántate de los muertos, y te alumbrará Cristo.
Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

Car le mari est le chef de la femme, comme Christ est le chef de l’Eglise, et il est aussi le Sauveur de son Corps.
Porque el marido es cabeza de la mujer, así como Cristo es cabeza de la iglesia; y él es el que da la salud al cuerpo.
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

Comme donc l’Eglise est soumise à Christ, que les femmes le soient de même à leurs maris, en toutes choses.

So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

Car personne n’a jamais eu en haine sa propre chair, mais il la nourrit et l’entretient, comme le Seigneur entretient l’Eglise.

Car nous sommes membres de son corps, étant de sa chair, et de ses os.

This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

Que chacun de vous aime donc sa femme comme soi-même ; et que la femme révère son mari.
Cada uno empero de vosotros de por sí, ame también á su mujer como á sí mismo; y la mujer reverencie á su marido.
Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
