Folgt also dem Vorbild Gottes nach als (von ihm) geliebte Kinder

SED, pues, imitadores de Dios como hijos amados:

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children.

und wandelt in der Liebe, wie auch Christus euch geliebt und sich selbst für uns als Weihegabe und Opfer dargebracht hat, Gott zu einem lieblichen Wohlgeruch.

Y andad en amor, como también Cristo nos amó, y se entregó á sí mismo por nosotros, ofrenda y sacrificio á Dios en olor suave.

And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

Walk in love, even as Christ also loved us and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.

Unzucht aber und Unsittlichkeit jeder Art oder Geldgier dürfen bei euch nicht einmal mit Namen erwähnt werden, wie es sich für Heilige geziemt,

Pero fornicación y toda inmundicia, ó avaricia, ni aun se nombre entre vosotros, como conviene á santos;

But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;

But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints;

ebensowenig unanständiges Wesen und fades Geschwätz oder leichtfertige Witze, die sich für euch nicht schicken würden, statt dessen vielmehr Danksagung.

Ni palabras torpes, ni necedades, ni truhanerías, que no convienen; sino antes bien acciones de gracias.

Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

Denn das wißt und erkennt ihr wohl, daß kein Unzüchtiger und Unsittlicher, kein Geldgieriger – das ist gleichbedeutend mit Götzendiener – ein Erbteil im Reiche Christi und Gottes hat.

Porque sabéis esto, que ningún fornicario, ó inmundo, ó avaro, que es servidor de ídolos, tiene herencia en el reino de Cristo y de Dios.

For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Know this for sure, that no sexually immoral person, nor unclean person, nor covetous man (who is an idolater), has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God.

Laßt euch von niemand durch leere Worte betrügen; denn um solcher Dinge willen kommt Gottes Zorn über die Ungehorsamen.

Nadie os engañe con palabras vanas; porque por estas cosas viene la ira de Dios sobre los hijos de desobediencia.

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

Macht euch daher nicht zu ihren Mitgenossen;

No seáis pues aparceros con ellos;

denn früher seid ihr zwar Finsternis gewesen, jetzt aber seid ihr Licht im Herrn: führt euren Wandel als Kinder des Lichts –

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,

die Frucht des Lichts erweist sich nämlich in lauter Gütigkeit, Gerechtigkeit und Wahrheit –,

(Porque el fruto del Espíritu es en toda bondad, y justicia, y verdad;)

(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth,

und prüfet dabei, was dem Herrn wohlgefällig ist.

Aprobando lo que es agradable al Señor.

Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

Habt auch nichts zu tun mit den unfruchtbaren Werken der Finsternis, legt vielmehr mißbilligend Zeugnis gegen sie ab;

Y no comuniquéis con las obras infructuosas de las tinieblas; sino antes bien redargüidlas.

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

denn was im Verborgenen von ihnen getrieben wird, davon auch nur zu reden ist schandbar.

Porque torpe cosa es aun hablar de lo que ellos hacen en oculto.

For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

Das alles wird aber, wenn es aufgedeckt wird, vom Licht getroffen und offenbar gemacht; denn alles, was offenbar gemacht wird, ist Licht.

Mas todas las cosas cuando son redargüidas, son manifestadas por la luz; porque lo que manifiesta todo, la luz es.

But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

But all things, when they are reproved, are revealed by the light, for everything that reveals is light.

Daher heißt es auch: »Wache auf, du Schläfer, und stehe auf von den Toten! Dann wird Christus dir aufleuchten.«

Por lo cual dice: Despiértate, tú que duermes, y levántate de los muertos, y te alumbrará Cristo.

Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

Therefore he says, “Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”

Achtet also genau darauf, wie ihr wandelt, nicht als Unweise, sondern als Weise,

Mirad, pues, cómo andéis avisadamente; no como necios, mas como sabios;

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise,

indem ihr die Zeit auskauft, denn die Tage sind böse.

Redimiendo el tiempo, porque los días son malos.

Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Darum zeigt euch nicht unverständig, sondern sucht zu verstehen, welches der Wille des Herrn ist.

Por tanto, no seáis imprudentes, sino entendidos de cuál sea la voluntad del Señor.

Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

Therefore, don’t be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Berauscht euch auch nicht an Wein, was zur Liederlichkeit führt, sondern werdet voll Geistes,

Y no os embriaguéis de vino, en lo cual hay disolución; mas sed llenos de Espíritu;

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,

so daß ihr zueinander mit Psalmen, Lobgesängen und geistlichen Liedern redet und dem Herrn in eurem Herzen singt und spielt;

Hablando entre vosotros con salmos, y con himnos, y canciones espirituales, cantando y alabando al Señor en vuestros corazones;

Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

und sagt Gott dem Vater allezeit Dank für alles im Namen unsers Herrn Jesus Christus.

Dando gracias siempre de todo al Dios y Padre en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo:

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

giving thanks always concerning all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;

Ordnet euch einander unter, wie es die Furcht vor Christus verlangt:

Sujetados los unos á los otros en el temor de Dios.

Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

subjecting yourselves to one another in the fear of Christ.

Die Frauen seien ihren Ehemännern untertan, als gälte es dem Herrn;

Las casadas estén sujetas á sus propios maridos, como al Señor.

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.

denn der Mann ist das Haupt der Frau, ebenso wie Christus das Haupt der Gemeinde ist, er freilich ist (zugleich) der Retter seines Leibes;

Porque el marido es cabeza de la mujer, así como Cristo es cabeza de la iglesia; y él es el que da la salud al cuerpo.

For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body.

dennoch, wie die Gemeinde (dem Herrn) Christus untertan ist, so sollen es auch die Frauen ihren Männern in jeder Beziehung sein.

Así que, como la iglesia está sujeta á Cristo, así también las casadas lo estén á sus maridos en todo.

Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything.

Ihr Männer, liebet eure Frauen, wie auch Christus die Gemeinde geliebt und sich für sie dahingegeben hat,

Maridos, amad á vuestras mujeres, así como Cristo amó á la iglesia, y se entregó á sí mismo por ella,

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for her,

um sie zu heiligen, nachdem er sie durch das Wasserbad im Wort gereinigt hat,

Para santificarla limpiándola en el lavacro del agua por la palabra,

That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,

um so die Gemeinde für sich selbst in herrlicher Schönheit hinzustellen, ohne Flecken und Runzeln oder irgendeinen derartigen Fehler, vielmehr so, daß sie heilig und ohne Tadel sei.

Para presentársela gloriosa para sí, una iglesia que no tuviese mancha ni arruga, ni cosa semejante; sino que fuese santa y sin mancha.

That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without defect.

Ebenso sind auch die Männer verpflichtet, ihre Frauen wie ihre eigenen Leiber zu lieben. Wer seine Frau liebt, liebt sich selbst;

Así también los maridos deben amar á sus mujeres como á sus mismos cuerpos. El que ama á su mujer, á sí mismo se ama.

So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

Even so husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself.

es hat ja doch noch nie ein Mensch sein eigenes Fleisch gehaßt, sondern jeder hegt und pflegt es, ebenso wie Christus es mit der Gemeinde tut,

Porque ninguno aborreció jamás á su propia carne, antes la sustenta y regala, como también Cristo á la iglesia;

For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

For no man ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly,

denn wir sind Glieder seines Leibes, Fleisch von seinem Fleisch und Bein von seinem Bein.

Porque somos miembros de su cuerpo, de su carne y de sus huesos.

For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones.

»Deshalb wird ein Mann Vater und Mutter verlassen und seinem Weibe anhangen, und die beiden werden ein Fleisch sein.«

Por esto dejará el hombre á su padre y á su madre, y se allegará á su mujer, y serán dos en una carne.

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

“For this cause a man will leave his father and mother and will be joined to his wife. Then the two will become one flesh.”

Hier liegt ein großes Geheimnis vor; ich deute es auf Christus und die Gemeinde.

Este misterio grande es: mas yo digo esto con respecto á Cristo y á la iglesia.

This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and the assembly.

Doch wie dem auch sei: auch bei euch soll ein jeder seine Frau so lieben wie sich selbst; die Frau aber soll ihrem Manne mit Furcht begegnen.

Cada uno empero de vosotros de por sí, ame también á su mujer como á sí mismo; y la mujer reverencie á su marido.

Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
