El judío Mardoqueo fue primer ministro con autoridad muy cercana a la del mismo rey Asuero. Por supuesto, él fue muy grande entre los judíos, y lo respetaban todos sus compatriotas, porque hacía todo cuanto podía por su pueblo, y se preocupaba por el bienestar de todos ellos.
