Da sprach Memukan vor dem König und den Fürsten: Nicht an dem König allein hat sich die Königin Vasti vergangen, sondern auch an allen Fürsten und an allen Völkern, die in allen Landschaften des Königs Ahasveros wohnen.

Und an diesem Tag schon werden die Fürstinnen von Persien und Medien, die das Verhalten der Königin erfahren haben, davon reden zu allen Fürsten des Königs; und es wird Verachtung und Zorn genug geben.

Wenn der König es für gut hält, so gehe ein königliches Wort von ihm aus und werde geschrieben in die Gesetze der Perser und Meder, dass es nicht vergehe: nämlich dass Vasti nicht mehr vor den König Ahasveros komme, und dass der König ihre königliche Würde einer anderen gebe, die besser ist als sie.
