Schon heute werden die persischen und medischen Fürstinnen, die von dem Verhalten der Königin Kenntnis erhalten haben, allen Fürsten des Königs davon erzählen, woraus dann Verachtung und Verdruß genug entstehen wird.

Wenn es also dem König genehm ist, so möge eine königliche Verordnung von ihm ausgehen und unter die persischen und medischen Gesetze aufgenommen werden, und zwar mit unwiderruflicher Geltung, daß Wasthi vor dem König Ahasveros nicht mehr erscheinen dürfe, und der König möge ihre königliche Würde auf eine andere übertragen, die besser ist als sie.
