Nach diesen Geschichten machte der Konig Ahasveros Haman groli, den Sohn Medathas, den Agagiter, und erhohete ihn und setzte seinen Stuhl uber alle Fursten, die bei ihm waren.

DESPUÉS de estas cosas, el rey Assuero engrandeció á Amán hijo de Amadatha Agageo, y ensalzólo, y puso su silla sobre todos los príncipes que estaban con él.

Y todos los siervos del rey que estaban á la puerta del rey, se arrodillaban é inclinaban á Amán, porque así se lo había mandado el rey; pero Mardochêo, ni se arrodillaba ni se humillaba.

And all the king’s servants, that were in the king’s gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence.

Da sprachen des Konigs Knechte, die im Tor des Konigs waren, zu Mardachai: Warum ubertrittst du des Konigs Gebot?

Y los siervos del rey que estaban á la puerta, dijeron á Mardochêo: ¿Por qué traspasas el mandamiento del rey?

Then the king’s servants, which were in the king’s gate, said unto Mordecai, Why transgressest thou the king’s commandment?

Und da sie solches taglich zu ihm sagten, und er ihnen nicht gehorchte, sagten sie es Haman an, daß sie sahen, ob solch Tun Mardachais bestehen wurde; denn er hatte ihnen gesagt, dafi er ein Jude ware.

Y aconteció que, hablándole cada día de esta manera, y no escuchándolos él, denunciáronlo á Amán, por ver si las palabras de Mardochêo se mantendrían; porque ya él les había declarado que era Judío.

Now it came to pass, when they spake daily unto him, and he hearkened not unto them, that they told Haman, to see whether Mordecai’s matters would stand: for he had told them that he was a Jew.

Mas tuvo en poco meter mano en solo Mardochêo; que ya le habían declarado el pueblo de Mardochêo: y procuró Amán destruir á todos los Judíos que había en el reino de Assuero, al pueblo de Mardochêo.

And he thought scorn to lay hands on Mordecai alone; for they had shewed him the people of Mordecai: wherefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews that were throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, even the people of Mordecai.

Im ersten Monden, das ist der Mond Nisan, im zwolften Jahr des Konigs Ahasveros, ward das Los geworfen vor Haman, von einem Tage auf den andern und vom Monden bis auf den zwolften Monden, das ist der Mond Adar.

En el mes primero, que es el mes de Nisán, en el año duodécimo del rey Assuero, fué echada Pur, esto es, la suerte, delante de Amán, de día en día y de mes en mes; y salió el mes duodécimo, que es el mes de Adar.

Und Haman sprach zum Konige Ahasveros: Es ist ein Volk zerstreuet und teilet sich unter alle Volker in alien Landen deines Konigreichs, und ihr Gesetz ist anders denn alter Volker, und tun nicht nach des Konigs Gesetzen; und ist dem Konige nicht zu leiden, sie also zu lassen.

And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws are diverse from all people; neither keep they the king’s laws: therefore it is not for the king’s profit to suffer them.

Gefallt es dem Konige, so schreibe er, daß man es umbringe; so will ich zehntausend Zentner Silbers darwagen unter die Hand der Amtleute, daß man es bringe in die Kammer des Konigs.

Si place al rey, escríbase que sean destruídos; y yo pesaré diez mil talentos de plata en manos de los que manejan la hacienda, para que sean traídos á los tesoros del rey.

If it please the king, let it be written that they may be destroyed: and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver to the hands of those that have the charge of the business, to bring it into the king’s treasuries.

Da tat der Konig seinen Ring von der Hand und gab ihn Haman, dem Sohne Medathas, dem Agagiter, der Juden Feind.

Da rief man den Schreibern des Konigs am dreizehnten Tage des ersten Monden; und ward geschrieben, wie Haman befahl, an die Fursten des Konigs und zu den Landpflegern hin und her in den Landern und zu den Hauptleuten eines jeglichen Volks in den Landern hin und her nach der Schrift eines jeglichen Volks und nach ihrer Sprache, im Namen des Konigs Ahasveros und mit des Konigs Ringe versiegelt.

Entonces fueron llamados los escribanos del rey en el mes primero, á trece del mismo, y fué escrito conforme á todo lo que mandó Amán, á los príncipes del rey, y á los capitanes que estaban sobre cada provincia, y á los príncipes de cada pueblo, á cada provincia según su escritura, y á cada pueblo según su lengua: en nombre del rey Assuero fué escrito, y signado con el anillo del rey.

Then were the king’s scribes called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and there was written according to all that Haman had commanded unto the king’s lieutenants, and to the governors that were over every province, and to the rulers of every people of every province according to the writing thereof, and to every people after their language; in the name of king Ahasuerus was it written, and sealed with the king’s ring.

Then the king’s scribes were called in on the first month, on the thirteenth day of the month; and all that Haman commanded was written to the king’s local governors, and to the governors who were over every province, and to the princes of every people, to every province according to its writing, and to every people in their language. Und die Briefe wurden gesandt durch die Laufer in alle Lander des Konigs, zu vertilgen, zu erwürgen und umzubringen alle Juden, beide jung und alt, Kinder und Weiber, auf einen Tag, namlich auf den dreizehnten Tag des zwolften Monden, das ist der Mond Adar, und ihr Gut zu rauben.

Und die Laufer gingen aus eilend nach des Konigs Gebot. Und zu Schloli Susan ward angeschlagen ein Gebot. Und der Konig und Haman alien und tranken; aber die Stadt Susan ward irre.

Y salieron los correos de priesa por mandato del rey, y el edicto fué dado en Susán capital del reino. Y el rey y Amán estaban sentados á beber, y la ciudad de Susán estaba conmovida.

The posts went out, being hastened by the king’s commandment, and the decree was given in Shushan the palace. And the king and Haman sat down to drink; but the city Shushan was perplexed.
