Quando as criadas de Ester e os oficiais responsáveis pelo harém vieram e contaram a ela o que tinha acontecido a Mordecai, a rainha ficou muito triste e mandou roupas para ele se vestir e tirar o pano de saco; porém ele não aceitou as roupas que Ester mandou.
Y vinieron las doncellas de Esther y sus eunucos, y dijéronselo: y la reina tuvo gran dolor, y envió vestidos para hacer vestir á Mardochêo, y hacerle quitar el saco de sobre él; mas él no los recibió.
So Esther’s maids and her chamberlains came and told it her. Then was the queen exceedingly grieved; and she sent raiment to clothe Mordecai, and to take away his sackcloth from him: but he received it not.
Esther’s maidens and her eunuchs came and told her this, and the queen was exceedingly grieved. She sent clothing to Mordecai, to replace his sackcloth, but he didn’t receive it.
