Ester 5

Il terzo giorno, Ester si mise la veste reale, e si presentò nel cortile interno della casa del re, di faccia all’appartamento del re. Il re era assiso sul trono reale nella casa reale, di faccia alla porta della casa.

Y ACONTECIÓ que al tercer día se vistió Esther su vestido real, y púsose en el patio de adentro de la casa del rey, enfrente del aposento del rey: y estaba el rey sentado en su solio regio en el aposento real, enfrente de la puerta del aposento.

Now it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court of the king’s house, over against the king’s house: and the king sat upon his royal throne in the royal house, over against the gate of the house.

Now on the third day, Esther put on her royal clothing and stood in the inner court of the king’s house, next to the king’s house. The king sat on his royal throne in the royal house, next to the entrance of the house.

E come il re ebbe veduta la regina Ester in piedi nel cortile, ella si guadagnò la sua grazia; e il re stese verso Ester lo scettro d’oro che teneva in mano; ed Ester s’appressò, e toccò la punta dello scettro.

Y fué que, como vió á la reina Esther que estaba en el patio, ella obtuvo gracia en sus ojos; y el rey extendió á Esther el cetro de oro que tenía en la mano. Entonces se llegó Esther, y tocó la punta del cetro.

And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre.

Allora il re le disse: “Che hai, regina Ester? che domandi? Quand’anche tu chiedessi la metà del regno, ti sarà data”.

Y dijo el rey: ¿Qué tienes, reina Esther? ¿y cuál es tu petición? Hasta la mitad del reino, se te dará.

Then said the king unto her, What wilt thou, queen Esther? and what is thy request? it shall be even given thee to the half of the kingdom.

Then the king asked her, “What would you like, queen Esther? What is your request? It shall be given you even to the half of the kingdom.”

Ester rispose: “Se così piace al re, venga oggi il re con Haman al convito che gli ho preparato”.

Y Esther dijo: Si al rey place, venga hoy el rey con Amán al banquete que le he hecho.

And Esther answered, If it seem good unto the king, let the king and Haman come this day unto the banquet that I have prepared for him.

Esther said, “If it seems good to the king, let the king and Haman come today to the banquet that I have prepared for him.”

E il re disse: “Fate venir subito Haman, per fare ciò che Ester ha detto”. Così il re e Haman vennero al convito che Ester avea preparato.

Y respondió el rey: Daos priesa, llamad á Amán, para hacer lo que Esther ha dicho. Vino pues el rey con Amán al banquete que Esther dispuso.

Then the king said, Cause Haman to make haste, that he may do as Esther hath said. So the king and Haman came to the banquet that Esther had prepared.

Then the king said, “Bring Haman quickly, so that it may be done as Esther has said.” So the king and Haman came to the banquet that Esther had prepared.

E il re disse ad Ester, mentre si beveva il vino: “Qual è la tua richiesta? Ti sarà concessa. Che desideri? Fosse anche la metà del regno, l’avrai”.

Y dijo el rey á Esther en el banquete del vino: ¿Cuál es tu petición, y te será otorgada? ¿Cuál es tu demanda? Aunque sea la mitad del reino, te será concedida.

And the king said unto Esther at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? even to the half of the kingdom it shall be performed.

The king said to Esther at the banquet of wine, “What is your petition? It shall be granted you. What is your request? Even to the half of the kingdom it shall be performed.”

Ester rispose: “Ecco la mia richiesta, e quel che desidero:

Entonces respondió Esther, y dijo: Mi petición y mi demanda es:

Then answered Esther, and said, My petition and my request is;

Then Esther answered and said, “My petition and my request is this.

se ho trovato grazia agli occhi del re, e se piace al re di concedermi quello che chiedo e di soddisfare il mio desiderio, venga il re con Haman al convito ch’io preparerò loro, e domani farò come il re ha detto”.

Si he hallado gracia en los ojos del rey, y si place al rey otorgar mi petición y hacer mi demanda, que venga el rey con Amán al banquete que les dispondré; y mañana haré conforme á lo que el rey ha mandado.

If I have found favour in the sight of the king, and if it please the king to grant my petition, and to perform my request, let the king and Haman come to the banquet that I shall prepare for them, and I will do to morrow as the king hath said.

If I have found favor in the sight of the king, and if it pleases the king to grant my petition and to perform my request, let the king and Haman come to the banquet that I will prepare for them, and I will do tomorrow as the king has said.”

E Haman uscì, quel giorno, tutto allegro e col cuor contento; ma quando vide, alla porta del re, Mardocheo che non s’alzava né si moveva per lui, fu pieno d’ira contro Mardocheo.

Y salió Amán aquel día contento y alegre de corazón; pero como vió á Mardochêo á la puerta del rey, que no se levantaba ni se movía de su lugar, llenóse contra Mardochêo de ira.

Then went Haman forth that day joyful and with a glad heart: but when Haman saw Mordecai in the king’s gate, that he stood not up, nor moved for him, he was full of indignation against Mordecai.

Nondimeno Haman si contenne, se ne andò a casa, e mandò a chiamare i suoi amici e Zeresh, sua moglie.

Mas refrenóse Amán, y vino á su casa, y envió, é hizo venir sus amigos, y á Zeres su mujer.

Nevertheless Haman refrained himself: and when he came home, he sent and called for his friends, and Zeresh his wife.

E Haman parlò loro della magnificenza delle sue ricchezze, del gran numero de’ suoi figliuoli, di tutto quello che il re aveva fatto per aggrandirlo, e del come l’aveva innalzato al disopra dei capi e dei servi del re.

Y refirióles Amán la gloria de sus riquezas, y la multitud de sus hijos, y todas las cosas con que el rey le había engrandecido y con que le había ensalzado sobre los príncipes y siervos del rey.

And Haman told them of the glory of his riches, and the multitude of his children, and all the things wherein the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the princes and servants of the king.

E aggiunse: “Anche la regina Ester non ha fatto venire col re altri che me al convito che ha dato; e anche per domani sono invitato da lei col re.

Y añadió Amán: También la reina Esther á ninguno hizo venir con el rey al banquete que ella dispuso, sino á mí: y aun para mañana soy convidado de ella con el rey.

Haman said moreover, Yea, Esther the queen did let no man come in with the king unto the banquet that she had prepared but myself; and to morrow am I invited unto her also with the king.

Haman also said, “Yes, Esther the queen let no man come in with the king to the banquet that she had prepared but myself; and tomorrow I am also invited by her together with the king.

Ma tutto questo non mi soddisfa finché vedrò quel Giudeo di Mardocheo sedere alla porta del re”.

Mas todo esto nada me sirve cada vez que veo al judío Mardochêo sentado á la puerta del rey.

Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king’s gate.

Allora Zeresh sua moglie, e tutti i suoi amici gli dissero: “Si prepari una forca alta cinquanta cubiti; e domattina di’ al re che vi s’appicchi Mardocheo; poi vattene allegro al convito col re”. E la cosa piacque a Haman, che fece preparare la forca.

Y díjole Zeres su mujer, y todos sus amigos: Hagan una horca alta de cincuenta codos, y mañana di al rey que cuelguen á Mardochêo en ella; y entra con el rey al banquete alegre. Y plugo la cosa en los ojos de Amán, é hizo preparar la horca.

Then said Zeresh his wife and all his friends unto him, Let a gallows be made of fifty cubits high, and to morrow speak thou unto the king that Mordecai may be hanged thereon: then go thou in merrily with the king unto the banquet. And the thing pleased Haman; and he caused the gallows to be made.

Then Zeresh his wife and all his friends said to him, “Let a gallows be made fifty cubits high, and in the morning speak to the king about hanging Mordecai on it. Then go in merrily with the king to the banquet.” This pleased Haman, so he had the gallows made.
