Ester 6

Cette nuit-là, le roi, ne pouvant trouver le sommeil, se fit apporter le livre des annales, les Chroniques. On en fit lecture devant le roi,

AQUELLA noche se le fué el sueño al rey, y dijo que le trajesen el libro de las memorias de las cosas de los tiempos: y leyéronlas delante del rey.

On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.

On that night, the king couldn’t sleep. He commanded the book of records of the chronicles to be brought, and they were read to the king.

et l'on trouva le récit de la révélation que Mardochée avait faite au sujet de Bagathan et de Tharès, les deux eunuques du roi, gardes du palais, qui avaient voulu porter la main sur le roi Assuérus.

Y hallóse escrito que Mardochêo había denunciado de Bigthan y de Teres, dos eunucos del rey, de la guarda de la puerta, que habían procurado meter mano en el rey Assuero.

And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.

It was found written that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s eunuchs, who were doorkeepers, who had tried to lay hands on the King Ahasuerus.

Le roi dit : " Quelle marque d'honneur et quelle dignité a-t-on données à Mardochée pour cela ? " — " Il n'en a reçu aucune ", répondirent les serviteurs du roi qui étaient en fonction près de lui.

Y dijo el rey: ¿Qué honra ó que distinción se hizo á Mardochêo por esto? Y respondieron los servidores del rey, sus oficiales: Nada se ha hecho con él.

And the king said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king’s servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.

The king said, “What honor and dignity has been given to Mordecai for this?” Then the king’s servants who attended him said, “Nothing has been done for him.”

Et le roi dit : " Qui est dans la cour ? " — Or Aman était venu dans la cour extérieure de la maison du roi, pour demander au roi de faire pendre Mardochée au bois qu'il avait préparé pour lui. —

Entonces dijo el rey: ¿Quién está en el patio? Y Amán había venido al patio de afuera de la casa del rey, para decir al rey que hiciese colgar á Mardochêo en la horca que él le tenía preparada.

And the king said, Who is in the court? Now Haman was come into the outward court of the king’s house, to speak unto the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him.

The king said, “Who is in the court?” Now Haman had come into the outer court of the king’s house, to speak to the king about hanging Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him.

Les serviteurs du roi lui répondirent : " C'est Aman qui se tient dans la cour. " Et le roi dit : " Qu'il entre ! "

Y los servidores del rey le respondieron: He aquí Amán está en el patio. Y el rey dijo: Entre.

And the king’s servants said unto him, Behold, Haman standeth in the court. And the king said, Let him come in.

The king’s servants said to him, “Behold, Haman stands in the court.” The king said, “Let him come in.”

Aman étant entré, le roi lui dit : " Que faut-il faire pour l'homme que le roi veut honorer ? " Aman se dit en lui-même : " Quel autre le roi voudrait-il honorer de préférence à moi ? "

Entró pues Amán, y el rey le dijo: ¿Qué se hará al hombre cuya honra desea el rey? Y dijo Amán en su corazón: ¿A quién deseará el rey hacer honra más que á mí?

So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself?

So Haman came in. The king said to him, “What shall be done to the man whom the king delights to honor?” Now Haman said in his heart, “Who would the king delight to honor more than myself?”

Et Aman dit au roi : " Pour l'homme que le roi veut honorer,

Y respondió Amán al rey: Al varón cuya honra desea el rey,

And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delighteth to honour,

Haman said to the king, “For the man whom the king delights to honor,

il faut prendre un vêtement royal dont le roi s'est revêtu, et un cheval que le roi a monté et sur la tête duquel est posée une couronne royale,

Traigan el vestido real de que el rey se viste, y el caballo en que el rey cabalga, y la corona real que está puesta en su cabeza;

Let the royal apparel be brought which the king useth to wear, and the horse that the king rideth upon, and the crown royal which is set upon his head:

let royal clothing be brought which the king uses to wear, and the horse that the king rides on, and on the head of which a royal crown is set.

remettre ce vêtement et ce cheval à l'un des principaux chefs du roi, puis revêtir l'homme que le roi veut honorer, le promener à cheval à travers la place de la ville, et crier devant lui : C'est ainsi qu'il est fait à l'homme que le roi veut honorer ! "

Y den el vestido y el caballo en mano de alguno de los príncipes más nobles del rey, y vistan á aquel varón cuya honra desea el rey, y llévenlo en el caballo por la plaza de la ciudad, y pregonen delante de él: Así se hará al varón cuya honra desea el rey.

And let this apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king’s most noble princes, that they may array the man withal whom the king delighteth to honour, and bring him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delighteth to honour.

Let the clothing and the horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king’s most noble princes, that they may array the man whom the king delights to honor with them, and have him ride on horseback through the city square, and proclaim before him, ‘Thus it shall be done to the man whom the king delights to honor!’”

Le roi dit à Aman : " Prends sans tarder le vêtement et le cheval, ainsi que tu l'as dit, et fais ainsi pour Mardochée, le Juif, qui est assis à la porte du roi ; ne néglige rien de tout ce que tu as indiqué. "

Entonces el rey dijo á Amán: Date priesa, toma el vestido y el caballo, como tú has dicho, y hazlo así con el judío Mardochêo, que se sienta á la puerta del rey; no omitas nada de todo lo que has dicho.

Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth at the king’s gate: let nothing fail of all that thou hast spoken.

Then the king said to Haman, “Hurry and take the clothing and the horse, as you have said, and do this for Mordecai the Jew, who sits at the king’s gate. Let nothing fail of all that you have spoken.”

Aman prit le vêtement et le cheval, il revêtit Mardochée et le promena à cheval à travers la place de la ville, en criant devant lui : " C'est ainsi que l'on fait à l'homme que le roi veut honorer ! "

Y Amán tomó el vestido y el caballo, y vistió á Mardochêo, y llevólo á caballo por la plaza de la ciudad, é hizo pregonar delante de él: Así se hará al varón cuya honra desea el rey.

Then took Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and brought him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour.

Then Haman took the clothing and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and had him ride through the city square, and proclaimed before him, “Thus it shall be done to the man whom the king delights to honor!”

Mardochée retourna à la porte du roi, et Aman se hâta de se rendre chez lui, désolé et la tête voilée.

Después de esto Mardochêo se volvió á la puerta del rey, y Amán se fué corriendo á su casa, apesadumbrado y cubierta su cabeza.

And Mordecai came again to the king’s gate. But Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered.

Mordecai came back to the king’s gate, but Haman hurried to his house, mourning and having his head covered.

Aman raconta à Zarès, sa femme, et à tous ses amis tout ce qui lui était arrivé. Ses sages et sa femme Zarès lui dirent : " Si Mardochée, devant lequel tu as commencé de tomber, est de la race des Juifs, tu ne pourras rien contre lui, mais tu succomberas certainement devant lui. "

Contó luego Amán á Zeres su mujer, y á todos sus amigos, todo lo que le había acontecido: y dijéronle sus sabios, y Zeres su mujer: Si de la simiente de los Judíos es el Mardochêo, delante de quien has comenzado á caer, no lo vencerás; antes caerás por cierto delante de él.

And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him.

Haman recounted to Zeresh his wife and all his friends everything that had happened to him. Then his wise men and Zeresh his wife said to him, “If Mordecai, before whom you have begun to fall, is of Jewish descent, you will not prevail against him, but you will surely fall before him.”

Comme ils lui parlaient encore, les eunuques du roi arrivèrent et emmenèrent en hâte Aman au festin qu'Esther avait préparé.

Aun estaban ellos hablando con él, cuando los eunucos del rey llegaron apresurados, para hacer venir á Amán al banquete que Esther había dispuesto.

And while they were yet talking with him, came the king’s chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the banquet that Esther had prepared.

While they were yet talking with him, the king’s eunuchs came, and hurried to bring Haman to the banquet that Esther had prepared.
