Or, cette nuit-là, le Seigneur éloigna du roi le sommeil, et Artaxerxès dit à son serviteur d'apporter le livre de ses archives et de le lui lire.

AQUELLA noche se le fué el sueño al rey, y dijo que le trajesen el libro de las memorias de las cosas de los tiempos: y leyéronlas delante del rey.

On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.

On that night, the king couldn’t sleep. He commanded the book of records of the chronicles to be brought, and they were read to the king.

Et il tomba sur ce qui était écrit concernant Mardochée, quand il avait fait connaître au roi le complot des deux eunuques qui le gardaient, et qui voulaient porter les mains sur lui.

Y hallóse escrito que Mardochêo había denunciado de Bigthan y de Teres, dos eunucos del rey, de la guarda de la puerta, que habían procurado meter mano en el rey Assuero.

And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus.

It was found written that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s eunuchs, who were doorkeepers, who had tried to lay hands on the King Ahasuerus.

Et le roi dit : Quels honneurs, quelle grâce Mardochée a-t-il reçus de moi ? Et les serviteurs répondirent :Tu n'as rien fait pour lui.

Y dijo el rey: ¿Qué honra ó que distinción se hizo á Mardochêo por esto? Y respondieron los servidores del rey, sus oficiales: Nada se ha hecho con él.

And the king said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king’s servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.

The king said, “What honor and dignity has been given to Mordecai for this?” Then the king’s servants who attended him said, “Nothing has been done for him.”

Pendant que le roi se rappelait le zèle de Mardochée, Aman entra dans le parvis, et le roi dit : Y a-t-il quelqu'un dans le parvis ? Or, Aman arrivait pour demander au roi de pendre Mardochée à la potence qu'il avait dressée.

Entonces dijo el rey: ¿Quién está en el patio? Y Amán había venido al patio de afuera de la casa del rey, para decir al rey que hiciese colgar á Mardochêo en la horca que él le tenía preparada.

And the king said, Who is in the court? Now Haman was come into the outward court of the king’s house, to speak unto the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him.

The king said, “Who is in the court?” Now Haman had come into the outer court of the king’s house, to speak to the king about hanging Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him.

Et les serviteurs du roi répondirent : Voilà Aman dans le parvis. Et le roi dit : Appelez-le.

Y los servidores del rey le respondieron: He aquí Amán está en el patio. Y el rey dijo: Entre.

And the king’s servants said unto him, Behold, Haman standeth in the court. And the king said, Let him come in.

The king’s servants said to him, “Behold, Haman stands in the court.” The king said, “Let him come in.”

Et le roi dit à Aman : Que ferai-je pour l'homme que je veux glorifier ? Et Aman se dit : Qui donc le roi veut-il glorifier, si ce n'est moi ?

Entró pues Amán, y el rey le dijo: ¿Qué se hará al hombre cuya honra desea el rey? Y dijo Amán en su corazón: ¿A quién deseará el rey hacer honra más que á mí?

So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself?

So Haman came in. The king said to him, “What shall be done to the man whom the king delights to honor?” Now Haman said in his heart, “Who would the king delight to honor more than myself?”

Et il répondit : Pour l'homme que le roi veut glorifier,

Y respondió Amán al rey: Al varón cuya honra desea el rey,

And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delighteth to honour,

Haman said to the king, “For the man whom the king delights to honor,

Que les serviteurs du roi apportent la robe de fin lin dont il se revêt, et le cheval qu'il monte.

Traigan el vestido real de que el rey se viste, y el caballo en que el rey cabalga, y la corona real que está puesta en su cabeza;

Let the royal apparel be brought which the king useth to wear, and the horse that the king rideth upon, and the crown royal which is set upon his head:

let royal clothing be brought which the king uses to wear, and the horse that the king rides on, and on the head of which a royal crown is set.

Que cela soit donné à l'un des amis du roi, parmi ceux du premier rang ; qu'il habille l'homme que le roi aime, qu'il le fasse monter à cheval, que dans toutes les places de la ville il proclame ces mots : Ainsi sera-t-il fait à tout homme que le roi honore.

Y den el vestido y el caballo en mano de alguno de los príncipes más nobles del rey, y vistan á aquel varón cuya honra desea el rey, y llévenlo en el caballo por la plaza de la ciudad, y pregonen delante de él: Así se hará al varón cuya honra desea el rey.

And let this apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king’s most noble princes, that they may array the man withal whom the king delighteth to honour, and bring him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delighteth to honour.

Let the clothing and the horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king’s most noble princes, that they may array the man whom the king delights to honor with them, and have him ride on horseback through the city square, and proclaim before him, ‘Thus it shall be done to the man whom the king delights to honor!’”

Et le roi dit à Aman : Tu as bien parlé ; ainsi soit fait par toi au Juif Mardochée qui sert en mon parvis, et que rien ne soit négligé de ce que tu as dit.

Entonces el rey dijo á Amán: Date priesa, toma el vestido y el caballo, como tú has dicho, y hazlo así con el judío Mardochêo, que se sienta á la puerta del rey; no omitas nada de todo lo que has dicho.

Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth at the king’s gate: let nothing fail of all that thou hast spoken.

Then the king said to Haman, “Hurry and take the clothing and the horse, as you have said, and do this for Mordecai the Jew, who sits at the king’s gate. Let nothing fail of all that you have spoken.”

Aman prit donc la robe, et le cheval, et il habilla Mardochée, et il le fit monter à cheval, et il parcourut toutes les rues de la ville, et il proclama ces mots : Ainsi sera-t-il fait à tout homme que le roi voudra honorer.

Y Amán tomó el vestido y el caballo, y vistió á Mardochêo, y llevólo á caballo por la plaza de la ciudad, é hizo pregonar delante de él: Así se hará al varón cuya honra desea el rey.

Then took Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and brought him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour.

Then Haman took the clothing and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and had him ride through the city square, and proclaimed before him, “Thus it shall be done to the man whom the king delights to honor!”

Et Mardochée revint au parvis, et Aman rentra en sa demeure avec un grand mal de tête.

Después de esto Mardochêo se volvió á la puerta del rey, y Amán se fué corriendo á su casa, apesadumbrado y cubierta su cabeza.

And Mordecai came again to the king’s gate. But Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered.

Mordecai came back to the king’s gate, but Haman hurried to his house, mourning and having his head covered.

Et il fit à Zosara, sa femme, et à ses amis, le récit de ce qui était advenu ; et ses amis et sa femme lui dirent : Si Mardochée est de la race des Juifs, tu as commencé à être humilié devant lui ; tu tomberas ; et tu ne pourras te défendre contre lui ; car le Dieu vivant est avec lui.

Contó luego Amán á Zeres su mujer, y á todos sus amigos, todo lo que le había acontecido: y dijéronle sus sabios, y Zeres su mujer: Si de la simiente de los Judíos es el Mardochêo, delante de quien has comenzado á caer, no lo vencerás; antes caerás por cierto delante de él.

And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him.

Haman recounted to Zeresh his wife and all his friends everything that had happened to him. Then his wise men and Zeresh his wife said to him, “If Mordecai, before whom you have begun to fall, is of Jewish descent, you will not prevail against him, but you will surely fall before him.”

Comme ils parlaient encore, les eunuques vinrent presser Aman de se rendre au repas qu'Esther avait préparé.

Aun estaban ellos hablando con él, cuando los eunucos del rey llegaron apresurados, para hacer venir á Amán al banquete que Esther había dispuesto.

And while they were yet talking with him, came the king’s chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the banquet that Esther had prepared.

While they were yet talking with him, the king’s eunuchs came, and hurried to bring Haman to the banquet that Esther had prepared.
