Und der König reckte das güldene Zepter zu Esther. Da stund Esther auf und trat vor den König

EL MISMO día dió el rey Assuero á la reina Esther la casa de Amán enemigo de los Judíos; y Mardochêo vino delante del rey, porque Esther le declaró lo que era respecto de ella.

On that day did the king Ahasuerus give the house of Haman the Jews’ enemy unto Esther the queen. And Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what he was unto her.

und sprach: Gefällt es dem Könige, und habe ich Gnade funden vor ihm, und ist's gelegen dem Könige, und ich ihm gefalle, so schreibe man, daß die Briefe der Anschläge Hamans, des Sohns Medathas, des Agagiters, widerrufen werden, die er geschrieben hat, die Juden umzubringen in allen Landen des Königs.

Y quitóse el rey su anillo que había vuelto á tomar de Amán, y diólo á Mardochêo. Y Esther puso á Mardochêo sobre la casa de Amán.

Denn wie kann ich zusehen dem Übel, das mein Volk treffen würde? Und wie kann ich zusehen, daß mein Geschlecht umkomme?

Volvió luego Esther á hablar delante del rey, y echóse á sus pies, llorando y rogándole que hiciese nula la maldad de Amán Agageo, y su designio que había formado contra los Judíos.

Da sprach der König Ahasveros zur Königin Esther und zu Mardachai, dem Juden: Siehe, ich habe Esther das Haus Hamans gegeben, und ihn hat man an einen Baum gehänget, darum daß er seine Hand hat an die Juden gelegt.

So schreibet nun ihr für die Juden, wie es euch gefällt, in des Königs Namen und versiegelt es mit des Königs Ringe. Denn die Schrift, die in des Königs Namen geschrieben und mit des Königs Ringe versiegelt worden, mußte niemand widerrufen.

Y dijo: Si place al rey, y si he hallado gracia delante de él, y si la cosa es recta delante del rey, y agradable yo en sus ojos, sea escrito para revocar las letras del designio de Amán hijo de Amadatha Agageo, que escribió para destruir á los Judíos que están en todas las provincias del rey.

And said, If it please the king, and if I have found favour in his sight, and the thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which are in all the king’s provinces:

She said, “If it pleases the king, and if I have found favor in his sight, and the thing seems right to the king, and I am pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews who are in all the king’s provinces.

Da wurden gerufen des Königs Schreiber zu der Zeit im dritten Monden, das ist der Mond Sivan, am dreiundzwanzigsten Tage; und wurde geschrieben, wie Mardachai gebot zu den Juden und zu den Fürsten, Landpflegern und Hauptleuten in Landen von Indien an bis an die Mohren, nämlich hundertundsiebenundzwanzig Länder, einem jeglichen Lande nach seinen Schriften, einem jeglichen Volk nach seiner Sprache und den Juden nach ihrer Schrift und Sprache.

Porque ¿cómo podré yo ver el mal que alcanzará á mi pueblo? ¿cómo podré yo ver la destrucción de mi nación?

For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come unto my people? or how can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred?

Und es ward geschrieben in des Königs Ahasveros Namen und mit des Königs Ringe versiegelt. Und er sandte die Briefe durch die reitenden Boten auf jungen Mäulern,

Y respondió el rey Assuero á la reina Esther, y á Mardochêo Judío: He aquí yo he dado á Esther la casa de Amán, y á él han colgado en la horca, por cuanto extendió su mano contra los Judíos.

Then the king Ahasuerus said unto Esther the queen and to Mordecai the Jew, Behold, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and him they have hanged upon the gallows, because he laid his hand upon the Jews.

darinnen der König den Juden gab, wo sie in Städten waren, sich zu versammeln und zu stehen für ihr Leben und zu vertilgen, zu erwürgen und umzubringen alle Macht des Volks und Landes, die sie ängsteten, samt den Kindern und Weibern, und ihr Gut zu rauben,

Escribid pues vosotros á los Judíos como bien os pareciere en el nombre del rey, y selladlo con el anillo del rey; porque la escritura que se escribe en nombre del rey, y se sella con el anillo del rey, no es para revocarla.

Write ye also for the Jews, as it liketh you, in the king’s name, and seal it with the king’s ring: for the writing which is written in the king’s name, and sealed with the king’s ring, may no man reverse.

auf einen Tag in allen Ländern des Königs Ahasveros, nämlich am dreizehnten Tage des zwölften Monden, das ist der Mond Adar.

Entonces fueron llamados los escribanos del rey en el mes tercero, que es Siván, á veintitrés del mismo; y escribióse conforme á todo lo que mandó Mardochêo, á los Judíos, y á los sátrapas, y á los capitanes, y á los príncipes de las provincias que había desde la India hasta la Ethiopía, ciento veintisiete provincias; á cada provincia según su escribir, y á cada pueblo conforme á su lengua, á los Judíos también conforme á su escritura y lengua.

Then were the king’s scribes called at that time in the third month, that is, the month Sivan, on the three and twentieth day thereof; and it was written according to all that Mordecai commanded unto the Jews, and to the lieutenants, and the deputies and rulers of the provinces which are from India unto Ethiopia, an hundred twenty and seven provinces, unto every province according to the writing thereof, and unto every people after their language, and to the Jews according to their writing, and according to their language.

Then the king’s scribes were called at that time, in the third month, which is the month Sivan, on the twenty-third day of the month; and it was written according to all that Mordecai commanded to the Jews, and to the local governors, and the governors and princes of the provinces which are from India to Ethiopia, one hundred twenty-seven provinces, to every province according to its writing, and to every people in their language, and to the Jews in their writing, and in their language.

Der Inhalt aber der Schrift war, daß ein Gebot gegeben wäre in allen Landen, zu öffnen allen Völkern, daß die Juden auf den Tag geschickt sein sollten, sich zu rächen an ihren Feinden.

Und die reitenden Boten auf den Mäulern ritten aus schnell und eilend nach dem Wort des Königs, und das Gebot ward zu Schloß Susan angeschlagen.

Con intimación de que el rey concedía á los Judíos que estaban en todas las ciudades, que se juntasen y estuviesen á la defensa de su vida, prontos á destruir, y matar, y acabar con todo ejército de pueblo ó provincia que viniese contra ellos, aun niños y mujeres, y su despojo para presa,

Mardachai aber ging aus, von dem Könige in königlichen Kleidern, gelb und weiß, und mit einer großen güldenen Krone, angetan mit einem Leinen- und Purpurmantel; und die Stadt Susan jauchzete und war fröhlich.

En un mismo día en todas las provincias del rey Assuero, en el trece del mes duodécimo, que es el mes de Adar.

Den Juden aber war ein Licht und Freude und Wonne und Ehre kommen.

La copia de la escritura que había de darse por ordenanza en cada provincia, para que fuese manifiesta á todos los pueblos, decía que los Judíos estuviesen apercibidos para aquel día, para vengarse de sus enemigos.

Und in allen Landen und Städten, an welchen Ort des Königs Wort und Gebot gelangete, da ward Freude und Wonne unter den Juden, Wohlleben und gute Tage, daß viele der Völker im Lande Juden wurden; denn die Furcht der Juden kam über sie.

Los correos pues, cabalgando en dromedarios y en mulos, salieron apresurados y constreñidos por el mandamiento del rey: y la ley fué dada en Susán capital del reino.

So the posts that rode upon mules and camels went out, being hastened and pressed on by the king’s commandment. And the decree was given at Shushan the palace.

Im zwölften Monden, das ist der Mond Adar, am dreizehnten Tage, den des Königs Wort und Gebot bestimmt hatte, daß man's tun sollte, eben desselben Tages, da die Feinde der Juden hofften, sie zu überwältigen, wandte sich's, daß die Juden ihre Feinde überwältigen sollten.

Y salió Mardochêo de delante del rey con vestido real de cárdeno y blanco, y una gran corona de oro, y un manto de lino y púrpura: y la ciudad de Susán se alegró y regocijó.

Da versammelten sich die Juden in ihren Städten, in allen Landen des Königs Ahasveros, daß sie die Hand legten an die, so ihnen übel wollten. Und niemand konnte ihnen widerstehen; denn Furcht war über alle Völker kommen.

And in every province, and in every city, whithersoever the king’s commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them.
