1Und Gott redete alle diese Worte und sprach:
2Ich bin Jehova, dein Gott, der ich dich herausgeführt habe aus dem Lande Ägypten, aus dem Hause der Knechtschaft.
3Du sollst keine anderen Götter haben neben mir. -
4Du sollst dir kein geschnitztes Bild machen, noch irgend ein Gleichnis dessen, was oben im Himmel und was unten auf der Erde und was in den Wassern unter der Erde ist.
5Du sollst dich nicht vor ihnen niederbeugen und ihnen nicht dienen; denn ich, Jehova, dein Gott, bin ein eifernder Gott, der die Ungerechtigkeit der Väter heimsucht an den Kindern, am dritten und am vierten Gliede derer, die mich hassen;
6und der Güte erweist, auf Tausende hin, an denen, die mich lieben und meine Gebote beobachten. -
7Du sollst den Namen Jehovas, deines Gottes, nicht zu Eitlem aussprechen; denn Jehova wird den nicht für schuldlos halten, der seinen Namen zu Eitlem ausspricht. -
8Gedenke des Sabbathtages, ihn zu heiligen.
9Sechs Tage sollst du arbeiten und all dein Werk tun;
10aber der siebte Tag ist Sabbath dem Jehova, deinem Gott: du sollst keinerlei Werk tun, du und dein Sohn und deine Tochter, dein Knecht und deine Magd, und dein Vieh, und dein Fremdling, der in deinen Toren ist.
11Denn in sechs Tagen hat Jehova den Himmel und die Erde gemacht, das Meer und alles, was in ihnen ist, und er ruhte am siebten Tage; darum segnete Jehova den Sabbathtag und heiligte ihn. -
12Ehre deinen Vater und deine Mutter, auf daß deine Tage verlängert werden in dem Lande, das Jehova, dein Gott, dir gibt. -
13Du sollst nicht töten. -
14Du sollst nicht ehebrechen. -
15Du sollst nicht stehlen. -
16Du sollst kein falsches Zeugnis ablegen wider deinen Nächsten. -
17Du sollst nicht begehren deines Nächsten Haus; du sollst nicht begehren deines Nächsten Weib, noch seinen Knecht, noch seine Magd, noch sein Rind, noch seinen Esel, noch alles, was dein Nächster hat.
18Und das ganze Volk gewahrte die Donner und die Flammen und den Posaunenschall und den rauchenden Berg. Und als das Volk es gewahrte, zitterten sie und standen von ferne;
19und sie sprachen zu Mose: Rede du mit uns, und wir wollen hören; aber Gott möge nicht mit uns reden, daß wir nicht sterben!
20Da sprach Mose zu dem Volke: Fürchtet euch nicht; denn um euch zu versuchen, ist Gott gekommen, und damit seine Furcht vor eurem Angesicht sei, daß ihr nicht sündiget.
21Und das Volk stand von ferne; und Mose nahte sich zum Dunkel, wo Gott war.
22Und Jehova sprach zu Mose: Also sollst du zu den Kindern Israel sprechen: Ihr habt gesehen, daß ich vom Himmel her mit euch geredet habe.
23Ihr sollt nichts neben mir machen, Götter von Silber und Götter von Gold sollt ihr euch nicht machen.
24Einen Altar von Erde sollst du mir machen und darauf opfern deine Brandopfer und deine Friedensopfer, dein Kleinvieh und deine Rinder; an jedem Orte, wo ich meines Namens werde gedenken lassen, werde ich zu dir kommen und dich segnen.
25Und wenn du mir einen Altar von Steinen machst, so sollst du ihn nicht von behauenen Steinen bauen; denn hast du deinen Meißel darüber geschwungen, so hast du ihn entweiht.
26Und du sollst nicht auf Stufen zu meinem Altar hinaufsteigen, damit nicht deine Blöße an ihm aufgedeckt werde.

1Y HABLÓ Dios todas estas palabras, diciendo:
2Yo soy JEHOVÁ tu Dios, que te saqué de la tierra de Egipto, de casa de siervos.
3No tendrás dioses ajenos delante de mí.
4No te harás imagen, ni ninguna semejanza de cosa que esté arriba en el cielo, ni abajo en la tierra, ni en las aguas debajo de la tierra:
5No te inclinarás á ellas, ni las honrarás; porque yo soy Jehová tu Dios, fuerte, celoso, que visito la maldad de los padres sobre los hijos, sobre los terceros y sobre los cuartos, á los que me aborrecen,
6Y que hago misericordia en millares á los que me aman, y guardan mis mandamientos.
7No tomarás el nombre de Jehová tu Dios en vano; porque no dará por inocente Jehová al que tomare su nombre en vano.
8Acordarte has del día del reposo, para santificarlo:
9Seis días trabajarás, y harás toda tu obra;
10Mas el séptimo día será reposo para Jehová tu Dios: no hagas en él obra alguna, tú, ni tu hijo, ni tu hija, ni tu siervo, ni tu criada ni tu bestia, ni tu extranjero que está dentro de tus puertas:
11Porque en seis días hizo Jehová los cielos y la tierra, la mar y todas las cosas que en ellos hay, y reposó en el séptimo día: por tanto Jehová bendijo el día del reposo y lo santificó.
12Honra á tu padre y á tu madre, porque tus días se alarguen en la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da.
13No matarás.
14No cometerás adulterio.
15No hurtarás.
16No hablarás contra tu prójimo falso testimonio.
17No codiciarás la casa de tu prójimo, no codiciarás la mujer de tu prójimo, ni su siervo, ni su criada, ni su buey, ni su asno, ni cosa alguna de tu prójimo.
18Todo el pueblo consideraba las voces, y las llamas, y el sonido de la bocina, y el monte que humeaba: y viéndolo el pueblo, temblaron, y pusiéronse de lejos.
19Y dijeron á Moisés: Habla tú con nosotros, que nosotros oiremos; mas no hable Dios con nosotros, porque no muramos.
20Y Moisés respondió al pueblo: No temáis; que por probaros vino Dios, y porque su temor esté en vuestra presencia para que no pequéis.
21Entonces el pueblo se puso de lejos, y Moisés se llegó á la osbcuridad, en la cual estaba Dios.
22Y Jehová dijo á Moisés: Así dirás á los hijos de Israel: Vosotros habéis visto que he hablado desde el cielo con vosotros.
23No hagáis conmigo dioses de plata, ni dioses de oro os haréis.
24Altar de tierra harás para mí, y sacrificarás sobre él tus holocaustos y tus pacíficos, tus ovejas y tus vacas: en cualquier lugar donde yo hiciere que esté la memoria de mi nombre, vendré á ti, y te bendeciré.
25Y si me hicieres altar de piedras, no las labres de cantería; porque si alzares tu pico sobre él, tú lo profanarás.
26Y no subirás por gradas á mi altar, porque tu desnudez no sea junto á él descubierta.

1And God spake all these words, saying,
2I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
5Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
7Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
8Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
12Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
13Thou shalt not kill.
14Thou shalt not commit adultery.
15Thou shalt not steal.
16Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
17Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.
18And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.
19And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.
20And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.
21And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.
22And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
23Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.
24An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.
25And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.
26Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.

1God spoke all these words, saying,
2“I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3“You shall have no other gods before me.
4“You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
5you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me,
6and showing loving kindness to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.
7“You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who misuses his name.
8“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9You shall labor six days, and do all your work,
10but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. You shall not do any work in it, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your livestock, nor your stranger who is within your gates;
11for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and made it holy.
12“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which the LORD your God gives you.
13“You shall not murder.
14“You shall not commit adultery.
15“You shall not steal.
16“You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
17“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”
18All the people perceived the thunderings, the lightnings, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking. When the people saw it, they trembled, and stayed at a distance.
19They said to Moses, “Speak with us yourself, and we will listen; but don’t let God speak with us, lest we die.”
20Moses said to the people, “Don’t be afraid, for God has come to test you, and that his fear may be before you, that you won’t sin.”
21The people stayed at a distance, and Moses came near to the thick darkness where God was.
22The LORD said to Moses, “This is what you shall tell the children of Israel: ‘You yourselves have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
23You shall most certainly not make gods of silver or gods of gold for yourselves to be alongside me.
24You shall make an altar of earth for me, and shall sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your cattle. In every place where I record my name I will come to you and I will bless you.
25If you make me an altar of stone, you shall not build it of cut stones; for if you lift up your tool on it, you have polluted it.
26You shall not go up by steps to my altar, that your nakedness may not be exposed to it.’
