1Et Moïse faisait paître le bétail de Jéthro, son beau-père, sacrificateur de Madian. Et il mena le troupeau derrière le désert, et il vint à la montagne de Dieu, à Horeb.
2Et l’Ange de l’Éternel lui apparut dans une flamme de feu, du milieu d’un buisson à épines ; et il regarda, et voici, le buisson était [tout] ardent de feu, et le buisson n’était pas consumé.
3Et Moïse dit : Je me détournerai, et je verrai cette grande vision, pourquoi le buisson ne se consume pas.
4Et l’Éternel vit qu’il se détournait pour voir ; et Dieu l’appela du milieu du buisson, et dit : Moïse ! Moïse ! Et il dit : Me voici.
5Et il dit : N’approche pas d’ici ; ôte tes sandales de tes pieds, car le lieu sur lequel tu te tiens est une terre sainte.
6Et il dit : Je suis le Dieu de ton père, le Dieu d’Abraham, le Dieu d’Isaac, et le Dieu de Jacob. Et Moïse cacha son visage, car il craignait de regarder vers Dieu.
7Et l’Éternel dit : J’ai vu, j’ai vu l’affliction de mon peuple qui est en Égypte, et j’ai entendu le cri qu’il a jeté à cause de ses exacteurs ; car je connais ses douleurs.
8Et je suis descendu pour le délivrer de la main des Égyptiens, et pour le faire monter de ce pays-là dans un pays bon et spacieux, dans un pays ruisselant de lait et de miel, dans le lieu d’habitation du Cananéen, et du Héthien, et de l’Amoréen, et du Phérézien, et du Hévien, et du Jébusien.
9Et maintenant, voici, le cri des fils d’Israël est venu jusqu’à moi ; et j’ai aussi vu l’oppression dont les Égyptiens les oppriment.
10Et maintenant, viens, et je t’enverrai vers le Pharaon, et tu feras sortir hors d’Égypte mon peuple, les fils d’Israël.
11Et Moïse dit à Dieu : Qui suis-je, moi, pour que j’aille vers le Pharaon, et pour que je fasse sortir hors d’Égypte les fils d’Israël ?
12Et il dit : Parce que je serai avec toi ; et ceci te sera le signe que c’est moi qui t’ai envoyé : lorsque tu auras fait sortir le peuple hors d’Égypte, vous servirez Dieu sur cette montagne.
13Et Moïse dit à Dieu : Voici, quand je viendrai vers les fils d’Israël, et que je leur dirai : Le Dieu de vos pères m’a envoyé vers vous, et qu’ils me diront : Quel est son nom ? que leur dirai-je ?
14Et Dieu dit à Moïse : Je suis celui qui suis. Et il dit : Tu diras ainsi aux fils d’Israël : Je suis m’a envoyé vers vous.
15Et Dieu dit encore à Moïse : Tu diras ainsi aux fils d’Israël : L’Éternel, le Dieu de vos pères, le Dieu d’Abraham, le Dieu d’Isaac, et le Dieu de Jacob, m’a envoyé vers vous : c’est là mon nom éternellement, et c’est là mon mémorial de génération en génération.
16Va, et assemble les anciens d’Israël, et dis-leur : L’Éternel, le Dieu de vos pères, m’est apparu, le Dieu d’Abraham, d’Isaac, et de Jacob, disant : Certainement je vous ai visités, et [j’ai vu] ce qu’on vous fait en Égypte ;
17et j’ai dit : Je vous ferai monter hors de l’affliction de l’Égypte, dans le pays du Cananéen, et du Héthien, et de l’Amoréen, et du Phérézien, et du Hévien, et du Jébusien, dans un pays ruisselant de lait et de miel.
18Et ils écouteront ta voix, et tu entreras, toi et les anciens d’Israël, vers le roi d’Égypte, et vous lui direz : L’Éternel, le Dieu des Hébreux, s’est rencontré avec nous ; et maintenant, nous te prions, laisse-nous aller le chemin de trois jours dans le désert, afin que nous sacrifiions à l’Éternel, notre Dieu.
19Et je sais que le roi d’Égypte ne vous permettra pas de vous en aller, pas même [contraint] par main forte.
20Et j’étendrai ma main, et je frapperai l’Égypte par toutes mes merveilles que je ferai au milieu d’elle ; et après cela il vous renverra.
21Et je ferai trouver faveur à ce peuple aux yeux des Égyptiens, et il arrivera que, quand vous vous en irez, vous ne vous en irez pas à vide ;
22et une femme demandera à sa voisine, et à celle qui séjourne dans sa maison, des objets d’argent, et des objets d’or, et des vêtements, et vous les mettrez sur vos fils et sur vos filles ; et vous dépouillerez les Égyptiens.

1Y APACENTANDO Moisés las ovejas de Jethro su suegro, sacerdote de Madián, llevó las ovejas detrás del desierto, y vino á Horeb, monte de Dios.
2Y apareciósele el Angel de Jehová en una llama de fuego en medio de una zarza: y él miró, y vió que la zarza ardía en fuego, y la zarza no se consumía.
3Entonces Moisés dijo: Iré yo ahora, y veré esta grande visión, por qué causa la zarza no se quema.
4Y viendo Jehová que iba á ver, llamólo Dios de en medio de la zarza, y dijo: ¡Moisés, Moisés! Y él respondió: Heme aquí.
5Y dijo: No te llegues acá: quita tus zapatos de tus pies, porque el lugar en que tú estás, tierra santa es.
6Y dijo: Yo soy el Dios de tu padre, Dios de Abraham, Dios de Isaac, Dios de Jacob. Entonces Moisés cubrió su rostro, porque tuvo miedo de mirar á Dios.
7Y dijo Jehová: Bien he visto la aflicción de mi pueblo que está en Egipto, y he oído su clamor á causa de sus exactores; pues tengo conocidas sus angustias:
8Y he descendido para librarlos de mano de los Egipcios, y sacarlos de aquella tierra á una tierra buena y ancha, á tierra que fluye leche y miel, á los lugares del Cananeo, del Hetheo, del Amorrheo, del Pherezeo, del Heveo, y del Jebuseo.
9El clamor, pues, de los hijos de Israel ha venido delante de mí, y también he visto la opresión con que los Egipcios los oprimen.
10Ven por tanto ahora, y enviarte he á Faraón, para que saques á mi pueblo, los hijos de Israel, de Egipto.
11Entonces Moisés respondió á Dios: ¿Quién soy yo, para que vaya á Faraón, y saque de Egipto á los hijos de Israel?
12Y él le respondió: Ve, porque yo seré contigo; y esto te será por señal de que yo te he enviado: luego que hubieres sacado este pueblo de Egipto, serviréis á Dios sobre este monte.
13Y dijo Moisés á Dios: He aquí que llego yo á los hijos de Israel, y les digo, El Dios de vuestros padres me ha enviado á vosotros; si ellos me preguntaren: ¿Cuál es su nombre? ¿qué les responderé?
14Y respondió Dios á Moisés: YO SOY EL QUE SOY. Y dijo: Así dirás á los hijos de Israel: YO SOY me ha enviado á vosotros.
15Y dijo más Dios á Moisés: Así dirás á los hijos de Israel: Jehová, el Dios de vuestros padres, el Dios de Abraham, Dios de Isaac y Dios de Jacob, me ha enviado á vosotros. Este es mi nombre para siempre, este es mi memorial por todos los siglos.
16Ve, y junta los ancianos de Israel, y diles: Jehová, el Dios de vuestros padres, el Dios de Abraham, de Isaac, y de Jacob, me apareció, diciendo: De cierto os he visitado, y visto lo que se os hace en Egipto;
17Y he dicho: Yo os sacaré de la aflicción de Egipto á la tierra del Cananeo, y del Hetheo, y del Amorrheo, y del Pherezeo, y del Heveo, y del Jebuseo, á una tierra que fluye leche y miel.
18Y oirán tu voz; é irás tú, y los ancianos de Israel, al rey de Egipto, y le diréis: Jehová, el Dios de los Hebreos, nos ha encontrado; por tanto nosotros iremos ahora camino de tres días por el desierto, para que sacrifiquemos á Jehová nuestro Dios.
19Mas yo sé que el rey de Egipto no os dejará ir sino por mano fuerte.
20Empero yo extenderé mi mano, y heriré á Egipto con todas mis maravillas que haré en él, y entonces os dejará ir.
21Y yo daré á este pueblo gracia en los ojos de los Egipcios, para que cuando os partiereis, no salgáis vacíos:
22Sino que demandará cada mujer á su vecina y á su huéspeda vasos de plata, vasos de oro, y vestidos: los cuales pondréis sobre vuestros hijos y vuestras hijas; y despojaréis á Egipto.
King James Version
1Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.
2And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
3And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.
4And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.
5And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.
6Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.
7And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
8And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
9Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.
10Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.
11And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?
12And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.
13And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?
14And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
15And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.
16Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt:
17And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land flowing with milk and honey.
18And they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.
19And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand.
20And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go.
21And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty:
22But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians.
World English Bible
1Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro, his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to God’s mountain, to Horeb.
2The LORD’s angel appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the middle of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
3Moses said, “I will go now, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burned.”
4When the LORD saw that he came over to see, God called to him out of the middle of the bush, and said, “Moses! Moses!” He said, “Here I am.”
5He said, “Don’t come close. Take off your sandals, for the place you are standing on is holy ground.”
6Moreover he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look at God.
7The LORD said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.
8I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey; to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
9Now, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to me. Moreover I have seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.
10Come now therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh, that you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”
11Moses said to God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?”
12He said, “Certainly I will be with you. This will be the token to you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”
13Moses said to God, “Behold, when I come to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what should I tell them?”
14God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM,” and he said, “You shall tell the children of Israel this: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”
15God said moreover to Moses, “You shall tell the children of Israel this, ‘The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and this is my memorial to all generations.
16Go and gather the elders of Israel together, and tell them, ‘The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, has appeared to me, saying, “I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt.
17I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, to a land flowing with milk and honey.”’
18They will listen to your voice. You shall come, you and the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt, and you shall tell him, ‘The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Now please let us go three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD, our God.’
19I know that the king of Egypt won’t give you permission to go, no, not by a mighty hand.
20I will reach out my hand and strike Egypt with all my wonders which I will do among them, and after that he will let you go.
21I will give this people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, and it will happen that when you go, you shall not go empty-handed.
22But every woman shall ask of her neighbor, and of her who visits her house, jewels of silver, jewels of gold, and clothing. You shall put them on your sons, and on your daughters. You shall plunder the Egyptians.”
