Et quelques-uns des anciens du peuple d'Israël vinrent me trouver, et ils s'assirent devant moi.
Y VINIERON á mí algunos de los ancianos de Israel, y sentáronse delante de mí.
Then came certain of the elders of Israel unto me, and sat before me.

Fils de l'homme, ces hommes ont conçu leurs pensées en leurs cœurs, et ils ont mis devant leur visage la punition de leurs iniquités : que dois-je leur répondre ?
Hijo del hombre, estos hombres han puesto sus ídolos en su corazón, y establecido el tropiezo de su maldad delante de su rostro: ¿acaso he de ser yo verdaderamente consultado por ellos?
Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be enquired of at all by them?
“Son of man, these men have taken their idols into their heart, and put the stumbling block of their iniquity before their face. Should I be inquired of at all by them?
Parle et dis-leur : Voici ce que dit le Seigneur : Tout homme, un homme d'Israël, qui aura conçu des pensées en son cœur et qui aura mis devant son visage la punition de son iniquité, et qui viendra devant le prophète, moi le Seigneur je lui répondrai selon les engagements de sa pensée.
Háblales por tanto, y diles: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Cualquier hombre de la casa de Israel que hubiere puesto sus ídolos en su corazón, y establecido el tropiezo de su maldad delante de su rostro, y viniere al profeta, yo Jehová responderé al que viniere en la multitud de sus ídolos;
Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the LORD will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols;
Therefore speak to them and tell them, ‘The Lord GOD says: “Every man of the house of Israel who takes his idols into his heart and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face then comes to the prophet, I the LORD will answer him there according to the multitude of his idols,
Car il désire tromper la maison d'Israël, pour qu'elle se laisse entraîner par ses convoitises et qu'elle éloigne son cœur de moi.
Para tomar á la casa de Israel en su corazón, que se han apartado de mí todos ellos en sus ídolos.
That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.

À cause de cela, dis à la maison d'Israël : Ainsi parle le Seigneur : Convertissez-vous et détournez-vous de vos mauvaises œuvres et de toutes vos iniquités, et détournez-en vos visages.
Por tanto di á la casa de Israel: Así dice el Señor Jehová: Convertíos, y volveos de vuestros ídolos, y apartad vuestro rostro de todas vuestras abominaciones.
Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.
“Therefore tell the house of Israel, ‘The Lord GOD says: “Return, and turn yourselves from your idols! Turn away your faces from all your abominations.
Car tout homme, un homme de la maison d'Israël, et tout étranger prosélyte en Israël, qui se sera éloigné de moi et aura conçu des pensées en son cœur et aura mis devant son visage la punition de son iniquité, et qui viendra ensuite au prophète pour le questionner sur moi, moi le Seigneur, je lui répondrai selon les engagements où il est lui-même.
Porque cualquier hombre de la casa de Israel, y de los extranjeros que moran en Israel, que se hubiere apartado de andar en pos de mí, y hubiere puesto sus ídolos en su corazón, y establecido delante de su rostro el tropiezo de su maldad, y viniere al profeta para preguntarle por mí, yo Jehová le responderé por mí mismo:
For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to enquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself:
“‘“For everyone of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live in Israel, who separates himself from me and takes his idols into his heart, and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and comes to the prophet to inquire for himself of me, I the LORD will answer him by myself.
Et je tournerai mon visage contre cet homme, et je le livrerai à la solitude et à l'extermination, et je l'effacerai du milieu de mon peuple, et vous saurez que je suis le Seigneur.
Y pondré mi rostro contra aquel hombre, y le pondré por señal y por fábula, y yo lo cortaré de entre mi pueblo; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.
And I will set my face against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

Et si un prophète s'est égaré, et s'il a parlé, c'est moi le Seigneur qui ai égaré ce prophète ; et j'étendrai la main sur lui, et je l'exterminerai du milieu de mon peuple d'Israël.
Y el profeta, cuando fuere engañado y hablare palabra, yo Jehová engañé al tal profeta; y extenderé mi mano sobre él, y raeréle de en medio de mi pueblo de Israel.
And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.
“‘“If the prophet is deceived and speaks a word, I, the LORD, have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand on him, and will destroy him from among my people Israel.
Et ils porteront la peine de leur iniquité, selon l'iniquité de celui qui aura interrogé, laquelle sera punie de la même manière que l'iniquité du prophète ;
Y llevarán su maldad: como la maldad del que pregunta, así será la maldad del profeta;
And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity: the punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him that seeketh unto him;
They will bear their iniquity. The iniquity of the prophet will be even as the iniquity of him who seeks him,
Afin que la maison d'Israël ne s'égare plus en s'éloignant de moi, qu'elle ne se souille plus par ses péchés ; de sorte qu'elle soit mon peuple, et que je sois son Dieu, dit le Seigneur.
Para que no yerren más la casa de Israel de en pos de mí: ni más se contaminen en todas sus rebeliones, y me sean por pueblo, y yo les sea por Dios, dice el Señor Jehová.
That the house of Israel may go no more astray from me, neither be polluted any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people, and I may be their God, saith the Lord GOD.

Et la parole du Seigneur me vint, disant :

Fils de l'homme, la terre qui aura péché contre moi en ses transgressions, j'étendrai la main sur elle ; je briserai la force du pain, je lui enverrai la famine, et je détruirai les hommes et son bétail.
Hijo del hombre, cuando la tierra pecare contra mí rebelándose pérfidamente, y extendiere yo mi mano sobre ella, y le quebrantare el arrimo del pan, y enviare en ella hambre, y talare de ella hombres y bestias;
Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it:
“Son of man, when a land sins against me by committing a trespass, and I stretch out my hand on it, and break the staff of its bread and send famine on it, and cut off from it man and animal—
Et si, au milieu d'elle, se trouvent trois hommes comme Noé, Daniel et Job, ils seront sauvés à cause de leur justice, dit le Seigneur.
Si estuvieren en medio de ella estos tres varones, Noé, Daniel, y Job, ellos por su justicia librarán su vida, dice el Señor Jehová.
Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.

Et si j'amène les bêtes farouches sur cette terre, et si je la punis, et si elle est désolée, et que nul ne la traverse en face des bêtes farouches ;
Y si hiciere pasar malas bestias por la tierra, y la asolaren, y fuere desolada que no haya quien pase á causa de las bestias,
If I cause noisome beasts to pass through the land, and they spoil it, so that it be desolate, that no man may pass through because of the beasts:
“If I cause evil animals to pass through the land, and they ravage it and it is made desolate, so that no man may pass through because of the animals—
Si ces trois hommes s'y trouvent, par ma vie, dit le Seigneur, ni leurs fils ni leurs filles ne seront sauvés ; eux seuls seront sauvés, mais la terre sera détruite.
Y estos tres varones estuvieren en medio de ella, vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, ni á sus hijos ni á sus hijas librarán; ellos solos serán libres, y la tierra será asolada.
Though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters; they only shall be delivered, but the land shall be desolate.

Ou bien encore, si je promène le glaive sur cette terre, et si je dis : Que le glaive sillonne toute cette terre, et j'en ôterai les hommes et le bétail ;
O si yo trajere espada sobre la tierra, y dijere: Espada, pasa por la tierra; é hiciere talar de ella hombres y bestias,
Or if I bring a sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through the land; so that I cut off man and beast from it:

Et si ces trois hommes s'y trouvent, par ma vie, dit le Seigneur, ils ne sauveront ni leurs fils ni leurs filles ; eux seuls seront sauvés.
Y estos tres varones estuvieren en medio de ella, vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, no librarán sus hijos ni sus hijas; ellos solos serán libres.

Ou bien encore, si j'envoie la peste en cette terre, et si je verse sur elle ma colère, avec le sang, pour détruire ses hommes et son bétail,
O si pestilencia enviare sobre esa tierra, y derramare mi ira sobre ella en sangre, para talar de ella hombres y bestias,
Or if I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast:

Et si Noé, Daniel et Jacob s'y trouvent, par ma vie, dit le Seigneur, ni leurs fils ni leurs filles n'échapperont ; eux seuls, à cause de leur justice, auront sauvé leurs âmes.
Y estuvieren en medio de ella Noé, Daniel, y Job, vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, no librarán hijo ni hija; ellos por su justicia librarán su vida.

Voici ce que dit le Seigneur : Si j'envoie contre Jérusalem les quatre fléaux : le glaive, la famine, les bêtes farouches et la peste, pour y détruire les hommes et le bétail ;
Por lo cual así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: ¿Cuánto más, si mis cuatro malos juicios, espada, y hambre, y mala bestia, y pestilencia, enviare contra Jerusalem, para talar de ella hombres y bestias?
For thus saith the Lord GOD; How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast?
For the Lord GOD says: “How much more when I send my four severe judgments on Jerusalem—the sword, the famine, the evil animals, and the pestilence—to cut off from it man and animal!
Voilà qu'il restera quelques hommes ; et ceux-là seront sauvés ; et ils emmèneront de la ville leurs fils et leurs filles ; puis voilà qu'ils viendront à vous, et vous verrez leurs voies et leurs pensées ; et le repentir vous pénètrera, à cause des maux que j'aurai fait tomber sur Jérusalem, à cause de toutes les afflictions que je lui aurai envoyées.
Sin embargo, he aquí quedarán en ella algunos residuos, hijos é hijas, que serán llevados fuera: he aquí que ellos entrarán á vosotros, y veréis su camino y sus hechos; y tomaréis consolación del mal que hice venir sobre Jerusalem, de todas las cosas que traje sobre ella.
Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, both sons and daughters: behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings: and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it.

Et ils vous consoleront, parce que vous verrez leurs voies et leurs pensées ; et vous reconnaîtrez que ce n'est point à tort que j'ai fait tout ce que j'ai fait contre elle, dit le Seigneur.
Y consolaros han cuando viereis su camino y sus hechos, y conoceréis que no sin causa hice todo lo que habré hecho en ella, dice el Señor Jehová.
And they shall comfort you, when ye see their ways and their doings: and ye shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, saith the Lord GOD.
