Y vinieron a encontrarme algunos de los ancianos de Israel, y se sentaron junto a mí.
Y VINIERON á mí algunos de los ancianos de Israel, y sentáronse delante de mí.
Then came certain of the elders of Israel unto me, and sat before me.
Then some of the elders of Israel came to me and sat before me.
Y me habló el Señor, diciendo:
Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Hijo de hombre, esos varones llevan sus inmundicias o ídolos dentro de sus corazones, y tienen siempre delante de sí el escándalo de su maldad. Cuando ellos me pregunten, ¿piensas acaso que les contestaré?
Hijo del hombre, estos hombres han puesto sus ídolos en su corazón, y establecido el tropiezo de su maldad delante de su rostro: ¿acaso he de ser yo verdaderamente consultado por ellos?
Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their heart, and put the stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be enquired of at all by them?
“Son of man, these men have taken their idols into their heart, and put the stumbling block of their iniquity before their face. Should I be inquired of at all by them?
Por tanto, háblales, y diles: Esto dice el Señor Dios: Cualquier hombre de la casa de Israel que tenga colocadas en su corazón sus inmundicias o ídolos, y tenga delante de sí el escándalo de su maldad, y viniere a encontrar el profeta para preguntarme por su medio, yo el Señor le responderé según sus inmundicias o idolatrías;
Háblales por tanto, y diles: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Cualquier hombre de la casa de Israel que hubiere puesto sus ídolos en su corazón, y establecido el tropiezo de su maldad delante de su rostro, y viniere al profeta, yo Jehová responderé al que viniere en la multitud de sus ídolos;
Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the LORD will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols;
Therefore speak to them and tell them, ‘The Lord GOD says: “Every man of the house of Israel who takes his idols into his heart and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face then comes to the prophet, I the LORD will answer him there according to the multitude of his idols,
para que la casa de Israel halle su ruina en su propio corazón, con el cual se alejaron de mí para seguir todos sus ídolos.
Para tomar á la casa de Israel en su corazón, que se han apartado de mí todos ellos en sus ídolos.
That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.

Por tanto, di a la casa de Israel: Así habla el Señor Dios: Convertíos, y apartaos de vuestros ídolos, y no volváis vuestras caras para mirar todas vuestras abominaciones.

Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Repent, and turn yourselves from your idols; and turn away your faces from all your abominations.
“Therefore tell the house of Israel, ‘The Lord GOD says: “Return, and turn yourselves from your idols! Turn away your faces from all your abominations.
Porque cualquier hombre de la casa de Israel, y cualquier extranjero que sea prosélito en Israel, si se enajenare de mí, y colocare sus ídolos en su corazón, y estableciere delante de sí el escándalo de su iniquidad, y viniere a encontrar al profeta, a fin de preguntarme por medio de éste, yo el Señor le responderé a él por mí o según mi justicia;
Porque cualquier hombre de la casa de Israel, y de los extranjeros que moran en Israel, que se hubiere apartado de andar en pos de mí, y hubiere puesto sus ídolos en su corazón, y establecido delante de su rostro el tropiezo de su maldad, y viniere al profeta para preguntarle por mí, yo Jehová le responderé por mí mismo:
For every one of the house of Israel, or of the stranger that sojourneth in Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to enquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will answer him by myself:
“‘“For everyone of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live in Israel, who separates himself from me and takes his idols into his heart, and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and comes to the prophet to inquire for himself of me, I the LORD will answer him by myself.
y miraré a aquel hombre con rostro airado, y haré que venga a ser el escarmiento y la fábula de todos, y le exterminaré de en medio de mi pueblo; y sabréis que yo soy el Señor.
Y pondré mi rostro contra aquel hombre, y le pondré por señal y por fábula, y yo lo cortaré de entre mi pueblo; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.
And I will set my face against that man, and will make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

Y cuando cayere el profeta en error, y hablare falso, yo el Señor he dejado que se engañase aquel profeta: mas yo descargaré mi mano sobre él, y lo borraré del censo del pueblo mío de Israel.
Y el profeta, cuando fuere engañado y hablare palabra, yo Jehová engañé al tal profeta; y extenderé mi mano sobre él, y raeréle de en medio de mi pueblo de Israel.
And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.
“‘“If the prophet is deceived and speaks a word, I, the LORD, have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand on him, and will destroy him from among my people Israel.
Y ellos llevarán la pena de su iniquidad; según sea el castigo de la iniquidad del que consulte, así será el castigo de la iniquidad del profeta que responda,
Y llevarán su maldad: como la maldad del que pregunta, así será la maldad del profeta;
And they shall bear the punishment of their iniquity: the punishment of the prophet shall be even as the punishment of him that seeketh unto him;
They will bear their iniquity. The iniquity of the prophet will be even as the iniquity of him who seeks him,
a fin de que en adelante no se desvíe de mí la familia de Israel, ni se contamine con todas sus prevaricaciones; sino que sean ellos el pueblo mío, y yo sea su Dios, dice el Señor de los ejércitos.
Para que no yerren más la casa de Israel de en pos de mí: ni más se contaminen en todas sus rebeliones, y me sean por pueblo, y yo les sea por Dios, dice el Señor Jehová.
That the house of Israel may go no more astray from me, neither be polluted any more with all their transgressions; but that they may be my people, and I may be their God, saith the Lord GOD.

Me habló de nuevo el Señor, diciendo:
Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

Hijo de hombre, si esa tierra pecare contra mí, prevaricando enormemente, yo descargaré mi mano sobre ella, y le quitaré el sustento del pan, y le enviaré el hambre, y mataré personas y bestias.
Hijo del hombre, cuando la tierra pecare contra mí rebelándose pérfidamente, y extendiere yo mi mano sobre ella, y le quebrantare el arrimo del pan, y enviare en ella hambre, y talare de ella hombres y bestias;
Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it:
“Son of man, when a land sins against me by committing a trespass, and I stretch out my hand on it, and break the staff of its bread and send famine on it, and cut off from it man and animal—
Y si se hallaren en ella estos tres hombres, Noé , Daniel y Job, ellos por su justicia librarán sus vidas, dice el Señor de los ejércitos.
Si estuvieren en medio de ella estos tres varones, Noé, Daniel, y Job, ellos por su justicia librarán su vida, dice el Señor Jehová.
Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.

Que si yo enviare además a esa tierra feroces bestias para devastarla, y quedare inhabitable, sin que transite persona alguna por ella, por temor de las fieras;
Y si hiciere pasar malas bestias por la tierra, y la asolaren, y fuere desolada que no haya quien pase á causa de las bestias,
If I cause noisome beasts to pass through the land, and they spoil it, so that it be desolate, that no man may pass through because of the beasts:
“If I cause evil animals to pass through the land, and they ravage it and it is made desolate, so that no man may pass through because of the animals—
si estos tres varones estuvieren en ella, juro yo, dice el Señor Dios, que no librarán a sus hijos ni hijas, sino que ellos solos serán librados, y la tierra quedará asolada.
Y estos tres varones estuvieren en medio de ella, vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, ni á sus hijos ni á sus hijas librarán; ellos solos serán libres, y la tierra será asolada.
Though these three men were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither sons nor daughters; they only shall be delivered, but the land shall be desolate.

O si enviare yo contra aquella tierra la espada, y dijere a la espada: Recorre ese país; y matare yo allí personas y bestias,
O si yo trajere espada sobre la tierra, y dijere: Espada, pasa por la tierra; é hiciere talar de ella hombres y bestias,
Or if I bring a sword upon that land, and say, Sword, go through the land; so that I cut off man and beast from it:
“Or if I bring a sword on that land, and say, ‘Sword, go through the land, so that I cut off from it man and animal’—
y se hallaren en medio de aquel país dichos tres varones, juro yo, dice el Señor Dios, que no librarán ellos sus hijos ni hijas, sino que ellos solos serán librados.
Y estos tres varones estuvieren en medio de ella, vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, no librarán sus hijos ni sus hijas; ellos solos serán libres.

Y si también enviare yo pestilencia sobre aquella tierra, y derramare sobre ella mi indignación causando gran mortandad, y quitando de ella hombres y animales;
O si pestilencia enviare sobre esa tierra, y derramare mi ira sobre ella en sangre, para talar de ella hombres y bestias,
Or if I send a pestilence into that land, and pour out my fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast:

y Noé , Daniel y Job estuvieren en medio de ella, juro yo, dice el Señor Dios, que no librarán a sus hijos ni hijas, sino que por su inocencia salvarán ellos solos sus almas.
Y estuvieren en medio de ella Noé, Daniel, y Job, vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, no librarán hijo ni hija; ellos por su justicia librarán su vida.
Though Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver neither son nor daughter; they shall but deliver their own souls by their righteousness.

Porque esto dice el Señor Dios: Si yo enviare contra Jerusalén los cuatro castigos peores, la espada, el hambre, las bestias feroces y la peste, a fin de acabar con los hombres y ganados,
Por lo cual así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: ¿Cuánto más, si mis cuatro malos juicios, espada, y hambre, y mala bestia, y pestilencia, enviare contra Jerusalem, para talar de ella hombres y bestias?
For thus saith the Lord GOD; How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast?
For the Lord GOD says: “How much more when I send my four severe judgments on Jerusalem—the sword, the famine, the evil animals, and the pestilence—to cut off from it man and animal!
sin embargo, se salvarán algunos de ellos, los cuales sacarán fuera de la tierra a sus hijos e hijas; y he aquí que éstos vendrán a vosotros aquí a Babilonia, y veréis su conducta y sus obras, y os consolaréis entonces de los desastres que yo he descargado sobre Jerusalén , y de todo el peso con que la he oprimido.
Sin embargo, he aquí quedarán en ella algunos residuos, hijos é hijas, que serán llevados fuera: he aquí que ellos entrarán á vosotros, y veréis su camino y sus hechos; y tomaréis consolación del mal que hice venir sobre Jerusalem, de todas las cosas que traje sobre ella.
Yet, behold, therein shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, both sons and daughters: behold, they shall come forth unto you, and ye shall see their way and their doings: and ye shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it.
Yet, behold, there will be left a remnant in it that will be carried out, both sons and daughters. Behold, they will come out to you, and you will see their way and their doings. Y os servirá de consuelo ver sus costumbres y sus procederes; y conoceréis que no sin razón hice en ella todo lo que hice, dice el Señor Dios.
Y consolaros han cuando viereis su camino y sus hechos, y conoceréis que no sin causa hice todo lo que habré hecho en ella, dice el Señor Jehová.
And they shall comfort you, when ye see their ways and their doings: and ye shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, saith the Lord GOD.
They will comfort you, when you see their way and their doings; then you will know that I have not done all that I have done in it without cause,” says the Lord GOD.
