Voltei a receber outra mensagem do Senhor, que dizia:
Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

“Filho do homem, por acaso um galho de videira brava vale mais que as outras árvores? Por acaso ele é mais valioso do que os galhos de outras árvores?
Hijo del hombre, ¿qué es el palo de la vid más que todo palo? ¿qué es el sarmiento entre los maderos del bosque?
Son of man, What is the vine tree more than any tree, or than a branch which is among the trees of the forest?
“Son of man, what is the vine tree more than any tree, the vine branch which is among the trees of the forest?
Não! Alguma vez a madeira dele é usada para fazer algo útil? Não serve para fazer objetos, nem mesmo para ser um suporte simples para pendurar jarros e panelas!
¿Tomarán de él madera para hacer alguna obra? ¿tomarán de él una estaca para colgar de ella algún vaso?
Shall wood be taken thereof to do any work? or will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel thereon?
Will wood be taken of it to make anything? Will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel on it?
Quando as pontas se transformarem em cinzas, e o meio estiver queimado, será que terá a menor utilidade?
He aquí, que es puesto en el fuego para ser consumido; sus dos cabos consumió el fuego, y la parte del medio se quemó; ¿aprovechará para obra alguna?
Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire devoureth both the ends of it, and the midst of it is burned. Is it meet for any work?
Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire has devoured both its ends, and the middle of it is burned. Is it profitable for any work?
Se inteiro o galho de videira brava não valia quase nada, depois de queimado vale menos ainda. Não serve para coisa alguma.
He aquí que cuando estaba entero no era para obra alguna: ¿cuánto menos después que el fuego lo hubiere consumido, y fuere quemado? ¿será más para alguna obra?
Behold, when it was whole, it was meet for no work: how much less shall it be meet yet for any work, when the fire hath devoured it, and it is burned?
Behold, when it was whole, it was suitable for no work. How much less, when the fire has devoured it, and it has been burned, will it yet be suitable for any work?”
“Por isso, diz o Soberano, o Senhor: Jerusalém e seus habitantes são como um galho de videira brava jogado no fogo para ser destruído — inúteis antes e depois de queimados!
Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Como el palo de la vid entre los maderos del bosque, el cual dí al fuego para que lo consuma, así haré á los moradores de Jerusalem.
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
Therefore the Lord GOD says: “As the vine wood among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so I will give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
Eu me voltarei contra eles! Se escaparem de uma fogueira, cairão em outra. Vocês saberão que eu sou o Senhor, quando o fogo do meu castigo cair sobre Jerusalém.
Y pondré mi rostro contra ellos; de fuego salieron, y fuego los consumirá; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová, cuando pusiere mi rostro contra ellos.
And I will set my face against them; they shall go out from one fire, and another fire shall devour them; and ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I set my face against them.
I will set my face against them. They will go out from the fire, but the fire will still devour them. Then you will know that I am the LORD, when I set my face against them.
Deixarei a terra de Judá destruída e deserta, por causa da grande desobediência e infidelidade do povo. Palavra do Soberano, o Senhor”.
Y tornaré la tierra en asolamiento, por cuanto cometieron prevaricación, dice el Señor Jehová.
And I will make the land desolate, because they have committed a trespass, saith the Lord GOD.
