Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

“Figliuol d’uomo, il legno della vite che cos’è egli più di qualunque altro legno? che cos’è il tralcio ch’è fra gli alberi della foresta?
Hijo del hombre, ¿qué es el palo de la vid más que todo palo? ¿qué es el sarmiento entre los maderos del bosque?
Son of man, What is the vine tree more than any tree, or than a branch which is among the trees of the forest?
“Son of man, what is the vine tree more than any tree, the vine branch which is among the trees of the forest?
Se ne può egli prendere il legno per farne un qualche lavoro? Si può egli trarne un cavicchio da appendervi un qualche oggetto?
¿Tomarán de él madera para hacer alguna obra? ¿tomarán de él una estaca para colgar de ella algún vaso?
Shall wood be taken thereof to do any work? or will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel thereon?
Will wood be taken of it to make anything? Will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel on it?
Ecco, esso è gettato nel fuoco, perché si consumi; il fuoco ne consuma i due capi, e il mezzo si carbonizza; è egli atto a farne qualcosa?
He aquí, que es puesto en el fuego para ser consumido; sus dos cabos consumió el fuego, y la parte del medio se quemó; ¿aprovechará para obra alguna?
Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire devoureth both the ends of it, and the midst of it is burned. Is it meet for any work?
Behold, it is cast into the fire for fuel; the fire has devoured both its ends, and the middle of it is burned. Is it profitable for any work?
Ecco, mentr’era intatto, non se ne poteva fare alcun lavoro; quanto meno se ne potrà fare qualche lavoro, quando il fuoco l’abbia consumato o carbonizzato!
He aquí que cuando estaba entero no era para obra alguna: ¿cuánto menos después que el fuego lo hubiere consumido, y fuere quemado? ¿será más para alguna obra?
Behold, when it was whole, it was meet for no work: how much less shall it be meet yet for any work, when the fire hath devoured it, and it is burned?
Behold, when it was whole, it was suitable for no work. How much less, when the fire has devoured it, and it has been burned, will it yet be suitable for any work?”
Perciò, così parla il Signore, l’Eterno: com’è fra gli alberi della foresta il legno della vite che io destino al fuoco perché lo consumi, così farò degli abitanti di Gerusalemme.
Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Como el palo de la vid entre los maderos del bosque, el cual dí al fuego para que lo consuma, así haré á los moradores de Jerusalem.
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; As the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
Therefore the Lord GOD says: “As the vine wood among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so I will give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
Io volgerò la mia faccia contro di loro; dal fuoco sono usciti, e il fuoco li consumerà; e riconoscerete che io sono l’Eterno, quando avrò vòlto la mia faccia contro di loro.
Y pondré mi rostro contra ellos; de fuego salieron, y fuego los consumirá; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová, cuando pusiere mi rostro contra ellos.
And I will set my face against them; they shall go out from one fire, and another fire shall devour them; and ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I set my face against them.
I will set my face against them. They will go out from the fire, but the fire will still devour them. Then you will know that I am the LORD, when I set my face against them.
E renderò il paese desolato, perché hanno agito in modo infedele, dice il Signore, l’Eterno”.
Y tornaré la tierra en asolamiento, por cuanto cometieron prevaricación, dice el Señor Jehová.
And I will make the land desolate, because they have committed a trespass, saith the Lord GOD.
I will make the land desolate, because they have acted unfaithfully,” says the Lord GOD.
