Ezequiel 18

Pues todas las vidas para juzgar son mías, la de padres, madres, hijos e hijas por igual, y mi resolución es esta: Es por sus propias faltas que cada persona morirá; hijos e hijas no pagarán por las faltas de los padres.

He aquí que todas las almas son mías; como el alma del padre, así el alma del hijo es mía; el alma que pecare, esa morirá.

Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
