What mean ye, that ye use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge?

Je suis vivant! Dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel, vous n’aurez plus lieu de dire ce proverbe en Israël.
Vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, que nunca más tendréis por qué usar este refrán en Israel.
As I live, saith the Lord GOD, ye shall not have occasion any more to use this proverb in Israel.
“As I live,” says the Lord GOD, “you shall not use this proverb any more in Israel.
Voici, toutes les âmes sont à moi; l’âme du fils comme l’âme du père, l’une et l’autre sont à moi; l’âme qui pèche, c’est celle qui mourra.
He aquí que todas las almas son mías; como el alma del padre, así el alma del hijo es mía; el alma que pecare, esa morirá.
Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

L’homme qui est juste, qui pratique la droiture et la justice,
Y el hombre que fuere justo, é hiciere juicio y justicia;

And hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbour’s wife, neither hath come near to a menstruous woman,
and has not eaten on the mountains, hasn’t lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, hasn’t defiled his neighbor’s wife, hasn’t come near a woman in her impurity,
qui n’opprime personne, qui rend au débiteur son gage, qui ne commet point de rapines, qui donne son pain à celui qui a faim et couvre d’un vêtement celui qui est nu,
Ni oprimiere á ninguno; al deudor tornare su prenda, no cometiere robo, diere de su pan al hambriento, y cubriere al desnudo con vestido,
And hath not oppressed any, but hath restored to the debtor his pledge, hath spoiled none by violence, hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment;
and has not wronged any, but has restored to the debtor his pledge, has taken nothing by robbery, has given his bread to the hungry, and has covered the naked with a garment;
qui ne prête pas à intérêt et ne tire point d’usure, qui détourne sa main de l’iniquité et juge selon la vérité entre un homme et un autre,
No diere á logro, ni recibiere aumento; de la maldad retrajere su mano, é hiciere juicio de verdad entre hombre y hombre,
He that hath not given forth upon usury, neither hath taken any increase, that hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity, hath executed true judgment between man and man,
he who hasn’t lent to them with interest, hasn’t taken any increase from them, who has withdrawn his hand from iniquity, has executed true justice between man and man,
qui suit mes lois et observe mes ordonnances en agissant avec fidélité, celui-là est juste, il vivra, dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel.
En mis ordenanzas caminare, y guardare mis derechos para hacer verdad, éste es justo: éste vivirá, dice el Señor Jehová.
Hath walked in my statutes, and hath kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, saith the Lord GOD.

S’il a un fils qui soit violent, qui répande le sang, ou qui commette quelque chose de semblable;

If he beget a son that is a robber, a shedder of blood, and that doeth the like to any one of these things,

And that doeth not any of those duties, but even hath eaten upon the mountains, and defiled his neighbour’s wife,
or who does not do any of those things but has eaten at the mountain shrines and defiled his neighbor’s wife,
s’il opprime le malheureux et l’indigent, s’il commet des rapines, s’il ne rend pas le gage, s’il lève les yeux vers les idoles et fait des abominations,
Al pobre y menesteroso oprimiere, cometiere robos, no tornare la prenda, ó alzare sus ojos á los ídolos, é hiciere abominación,
Hath oppressed the poor and needy, hath spoiled by violence, hath not restored the pledge, and hath lifted up his eyes to the idols, hath committed abomination,
has wronged the poor and needy, has taken by robbery, has not restored the pledge, and has lifted up his eyes to the idols, has committed abomination,
s’il prête à intérêt et tire une usure, ce fils-là vivrait! Il ne vivra pas; il a commis toutes ces abominations; qu’il meure! Que son sang retombe sur lui!
Diere á usura, y recibiere aumento: ¿vivirá éste? No vivirá. Todas estas abominaciones hizo; de cierto morirá; su sangre será sobre él.
Hath given forth upon usury, and hath taken increase: shall he then live? he shall not live: he hath done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.
has lent with interest, and has taken increase from the poor, shall he then live? He shall not live. He has done all these abominations. He shall surely die. His blood will be on him.
Mais si un homme a un fils qui voie tous les péchés que commet son père, qui les voie et n’agisse pas de la même manière;
Pero si éste engendrare hijo, el cual viere todos los pecados que su padre hizo, y viéndolos no hiciere según ellos:
Now, lo, if he beget a son, that seeth all his father’s sins which he hath done, and considereth, and doeth not such like,

s’il détourne sa main de l’iniquité, s’il n’exige ni intérêt ni usure, s’il observe mes ordonnances et suit mes lois, celui-là ne mourra pas pour l’iniquité de son père; il vivra.
Apartare su mano del pobre, usura ni aumento no recibiere; hiciere mis derechos, y anduviere en mis ordenanzas, éste no morirá por la maldad de su padre; de cierto vivirá.
That hath taken off his hand from the poor, that hath not received usury nor increase, hath executed my judgments, hath walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live.
who has withdrawn his hand from the poor, who hasn’t received interest or increase, has executed my ordinances, has walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father. He shall surely live.
C’est son père, qui a été un oppresseur, qui a commis des rapines envers les autres, qui a fait au milieu de son peuple ce qui n’est pas bien, c’est lui qui mourra pour son iniquité.
Su padre, por cuanto hizo agravio, despojó violentamente al hermano, é hizo en medio de su pueblo lo que no es bueno, he aquí que él morirá por su maldad.
As for his father, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiled his brother by violence, and did that which is not good among his people, lo, even he shall die in his iniquity.

Vous dites: Pourquoi le fils ne porte-t-il pas l’iniquité de son père? C’est que le fils a agi selon la droiture et la justice, c’est qu’il a observé et mis en pratique toutes mes lois; il vivra.
Y si dijereis: ¿Por qué el hijo no llevará por el pecado de su padre? Porque el hijo hizo juicio y justicia, guardó todas mis ordenanzas, y las hizo, de cierto vivirá.
Yet say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son hath done that which is lawful and right, and hath kept all my statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live.
“Yet you say, ‘Why doesn’t the son bear the iniquity of the father?’ When the son has done that which is lawful and right, and has kept all my statutes, and has done them, he will surely live.
L’âme qui pèche, c’est celle qui mourra. Le fils ne portera pas l’iniquité de son père, et le père ne portera pas l’iniquité de son fils. La justice du juste sera sur lui, et la méchanceté du méchant sera sur lui.
El alma que pecare, esa morirá: el hijo no llevará por el pecado del padre, ni el padre llevará por el pecado del hijo: la justicia del justo será sobre él, y la impiedad del impío será sobre él.
The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
The soul who sins, he shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be on him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be on him.
Si le méchant revient de tous les péchés qu’il a commis, s’il observe toutes mes lois et pratique la droiture et la justice, il vivra, il ne mourra pas.
Mas el impío, si se apartare de todos sus pecados que hizo, y guardare todas mis ordenanzas, é hiciere juicio y justicia, de cierto vivirá; no morirá.
But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
“But if the wicked turns from all his sins that he has committed, and keeps all my statutes, and does that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live. He shall not die.
Toutes les transgressions qu’il a commises seront oubliées; il vivra, à cause de la justice qu’il a pratiquée.
Todas sus rebeliones que cometió, no le serán recordadas: en su justicia que hizo vivirá.
All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.
None of his transgressions that he has committed will be remembered against him. In his righteousness that he has done, he shall live.
Ce que je désire, est-ce que le méchant meure? Dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel. N’est-ce pas qu’il change de conduite et qu’il vive?
¿Quiero yo la muerte del impío? dice el Señor Jehová. ¿No vivirá, si se apartare de sus caminos?
Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked?” says the Lord GOD, “and not rather that he should return from his way, and live?
Si le juste se détourne de sa justice et commet l’iniquité, s’il imite toutes les abominations du méchant, vivra-t-il? Toute sa justice sera oubliée, parce qu’il s’est livré à l’iniquité et au péché; à cause de cela, il mourra.
Mas si el justo se apartare de su justicia, y cometiere maldad, é hiciere conforme á todas las abominaciones que el impío hizo, ¿vivirá él? Todas las justicias que hizo no vendrán en memoria; por su rebelión con que prevaricó, y por su pecado que cometió, por ello morirá.
But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.
“But when the righteous turns away from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, should he live? None of his righteous deeds that he has done will be remembered. In his trespass that he has trespassed, and in his sin that he has sinned, in them he shall die.
Vous dites: La voie du Seigneur n’est pas droite. Écoutez donc, maison d’Israël! Est-ce ma voie qui n’est pas droite? Ne sont-ce pas plutôt vos voies qui ne sont pas droites?
Y si dijereis: No es derecho el camino del Señor: oid ahora, casa de Israel: ¿No es derecho mi camino? ¿no son vuestros caminos torcidos?
Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?
“Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not equal.’ Hear now, house of Israel: Is my way not equal? Aren’t your ways unequal?
Si le juste se détourne de sa justice et commet l’iniquité, et meurt pour cela, il meurt à cause de l’iniquité qu’il a commise.
Apartándose el justo de su justicia, y haciendo iniquidad, él morirá por ello: por su iniquidad que hizo, morirá.
When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.
When the righteous man turns away from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and dies in it, then he dies in his iniquity that he has done.
Si le méchant revient de sa méchanceté et pratique la droiture et la justice, il fera vivre son âme.
Y apartándose el impío de su impiedad que hizo, y haciendo juicio y justicia, hará vivir su alma.
Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.
Again, when the wicked man turns away from his wickedness that he has committed, and does that which is lawful and right, he will save his soul alive.
S’il ouvre les yeux et se détourne de toutes les transgressions qu’il a commises, il vivra, il ne mourra pas.
Porque miró, y apartóse de todas sus prevaricaciones que hizo, de cierto vivirá, no morirá.
Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
Because he considers, and turns away from all his transgressions that he has committed, he shall surely live. He shall not die.
La maison d’Israël dit: La voie du Seigneur n’est pas droite. Est-ce ma voie qui n’est pas droite, maison d’Israël? Ne sont-ce pas plutôt vos voies qui ne sont pas droites?
Si aun dijere la casa de Israel: No es derecho el camino del Señor: ¿No son derechos mis caminos, casa de Israel? Cierto, vuestros caminos no son derechos.
Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?
Yet the house of Israel says, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ House of Israel, aren’t my ways fair? Aren’t your ways unfair?
C’est pourquoi je vous jugerai chacun selon ses voies, maison d’Israël, dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel. Revenez et détournez-vous de toutes vos transgressions, afin que l’iniquité ne cause pas votre ruine.
Por tanto, yo os juzgaré á cada uno según sus caminos, oh casa de Israel, dice el Señor Jehová. Convertíos, y volveos de todas vuestras iniquidades; y no os será la iniquidad causa de ruina.
Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
“Therefore I will judge you, house of Israel, everyone according to his ways,” says the Lord GOD. “Return, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions, so iniquity will not be your ruin.
Rejetez loin de vous toutes les transgressions par lesquelles vous avez péché; faites-vous un cœur nouveau et un esprit nouveau. Pourquoi mourriez-vous, maison d’Israël?
Echad de vosotros todas vuestras iniquidades con que habéis prevaricado, y haceos corazón nuevo y espíritu nuevo. ¿Y por qué moriréis, casa de Israel?
Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

Car je ne désire pas la mort de celui qui meurt, dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel. Convertissez-vous donc, et vivez.
Que no quiero la muerte del que muere, dice el Señor Jehová; convertíos pues, y viviréis.
For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.
For I have no pleasure in the death of him who dies,” says the Lord GOD. “Therefore turn yourselves, and live!
