Allevò uno de’ suoi piccini, il quale divenne un leoncello, imparò a sbranar la preda, e divorò gli uomini.

E hizo subir uno de sus cachorros: vino á ser leoncillo, y aprendió á prender presa, y á devorar hombres.

And she brought up one of her whelps: it became a young lion, and it learned to catch the prey; it devoured men.
