Ezequiel 1

El quinto día del cuarto mes del trigésimo año, yo estaba con los otros exiliados junto al río Quebar. Los cielos se abrieron y vi visiones de Dios.

Y FUÉ que á los treinta años, en el mes cuarto, á cinco del mes, estando yo en medio de los trasportados junto al río de Chebar, los cielos se abrieron, y vi visiones de Dios.

Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

un mensaje del Señor fue dado al sacerdote Ezequiel, hijo de Buzi, en la tierra de Babilonia junto al río Quebar. Allí le llegó el poder del Señor).

Fué palabra de Jehová á Ezequiel sacerdote, hijo de Buzi, en la tierra de los Caldeos, junto al río de Chebar; fué allí sobre él la mano de Jehová.

The word of the LORD came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there upon him.

Miré hacia arriba y vi una tormenta de viento que llegaba desde el norte, una tremenda nube con fuego que destellaba como un rayo y estaba rodeada de una luz brillante. El centro del fuego parecía metal incandescente

Y miré, y he aquí un viento tempestuoso venía del aquilón, una gran nube, con un fuego envolvente, y en derredor suyo un resplandor, y en medio del fuego una cosa que parecía como de ámbar,

And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.

y dentro de él había la forma de cuatro seres. Este era su aspecto: Tenían forma humana,

Y en medio de ella, figura de cuatro animales. Y este era su parecer; había en ellos semejanza de hombre.

pero cada uno tenía cuatro caras y cuatro alas.

Tenían las piernas rectas, y las plantas de sus pies parecían pezuñas de terneros, y brillaban como el bronce pulido.

Tenían manos humanas debajo de sus alas en cada uno de sus cuatro lados. Los cuatro tenían caras y alas,

And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.

y cada una de sus alas tocaba las del de al lado. Cuando se movían, no giraban; todas se movían en una sola dirección.

Con las alas se juntaban el uno al otro. No se volvían cuando andaban; cada uno caminaba en derecho de su rostro.

Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.

Este era el aspecto de sus rostros. Tenían un rostro humano al frente, un rostro de león a la derecha, un rostro de toro a la izquierda, y por último un rostro de águila.

Y la figura de sus rostros era rostro de hombre; y rostro de león á la parte derecha en los cuatro; y á la izquierda rostro de buey en los cuatro; asimismo había en los cuatro rostro de águila.

As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.

Estas eran sus caras. Sus alas estaban extendidas por encima de ellos. Todos tenían dos alas que tocaban las del que estaba a su lado, así como dos alas que cubrían su cuerpo.

Tales eran sus rostros; y tenían sus alas extendidas por encima, cada uno dos, las cuales se juntaban; y las otras dos cubrían sus cuerpos.

Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.

Cada uno de ellos iba junto en cualquier dirección que el Espíritu deseaba que se fueran, moviéndose sin girar.

Y cada uno caminaba en derecho de su rostro: hacia donde el espíritu era que anduviesen, andaban; cuando andaban, no se volvían.

And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.

Estos seres parecían carbones ardientes o antorchas brillantes. El fuego ardiente se movía de un lado a otro entre los seres, y del fuego salían relámpagos.

Cuanto á la semejanza de los animales, su parecer era como de carbones de fuego encendidos, como parecer de hachones encendidos: discurría entre los animales; y el fuego resplandecía, y del fuego salían relámpagos.

As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.

Los seres corrían de un lado a otro tan rápido como los relámpagos.

Y los animales corrían y tornaban á semejanza de relámpagos.

Mientras observaba a estos seres, me di cuenta de que había una rueda en el suelo junto a cada uno de los seres con sus cuatro caras.

Y estando yo mirando los animales, he aquí una rueda en la tierra junto á los animales, á sus cuatro caras.

Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces.

Las ruedas parecían estar hechas de topacio, y las cuatro ruedas eran iguales. En medio de cada rueda había lo que parecía otra rueda colocada en cruz.

Y el parecer de las ruedas y su obra semejábase al color del topacio. Y las cuatro tenían una misma semejanza: su apariencia y su obra como rueda en medio de rueda.

The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.

Podían moverse en cualquier dirección sin girar al hacerlo.

Cuando andaban, se movían sobre sus cuatro costados: no se volvían cuando andaban.

Las llantas de las ruedas eran notablemente altas, y las cuatro llantas estaban cubiertas de ojos.

Y sus cercos eran altos y espantosos, y llenos de ojos alrededor en las cuatro.

As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four.

As for their rims, they were high and dreadful; and the four of them had their rims full of eyes all around.

Cuando los seres se movían, también lo hacían las ruedas que estaban a su lado, y cuando los seres volaban, las ruedas también lo hacían.

Y cuando los animales andaban, las ruedas andaban junto á ellos: y cuando los animales se levantaban de la tierra, las ruedas se levantaban.

And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.

Iban donde el Espíritu iba. Las ruedas se elevaban junto a ellos, porque el Espíritu de los seres estaba en las ruedas para dirigirlos.

Hacia donde el espíritu era que anduviesen, andaban; hacia donde era el espíritu que anduviesen, las ruedas también se levantaban tras ellos; porque el espíritu de los animales estaba en las ruedas.

Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.

Cuando los seres se movían, las ruedas se movían; cuando se detenían, las ruedas se detenían; y cuando volaban desde el suelo, las ruedas volaban junto a ellos, porque el Espíritu de los seres estaba en las ruedas para dirigirlos.

Por encima de las cabezas de los seres se extendía algo que parecía una asombrosa expansión que brillaba como el cristal de hielo.

Y sobre las cabezas de cada animal aparecía expansión á manera de cristal maravilloso, extendido encima sobre sus cabezas.

And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.

Over the head of the living creature there was the likeness of an expanse, like an awesome crystal to look at, stretched out over their heads above.

Bajo esta extensión, las alas de los seres se extendían unas hacia otras. Cada uno de ellos tenía también dos alas que cubrían su cuerpo.

Y debajo de la expansión estaban las alas de ellos derechas la una á la otra; á cada uno dos, y otras dos con que se cubrían sus cuerpos.

And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies.

Cuando los seres se movían, oí el sonido que hacían sus alas. Era como el rugido de una cascada atronadora, como la voz del Todopoderoso, como el ruido de un ejército en marcha. Cada vez que se detenían, plegaban sus alas.

Y oí el sonido de sus alas cuando andaban, como sonido de muchas aguas, como la voz del Omnipotente, como ruido de muchedumbre, como la voz de un ejército. Cuando se paraban, aflojaban sus alas.

And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.

Una voz habló desde más allá de la extensión sobre sus cabezas, mientras ellos estaban quietos con las alas plegadas.

Y cuando se paraban y aflojaban sus alas, oíase voz de arriba de la expansión que había sobre sus cabezas.

And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.

Por encima de la extensión sobre sus cabezas vi lo que parecía un trono hecho de lapislázuli. Sentado en el trono en lo alto había un ser que parecía un hombre.

Y sobre la expansión que había sobre sus cabezas, veíase la figura de un trono que parecía de piedra de zafiro; y sobre la figura del trono había una semejanza que parecía de hombre sentado sobre él.

And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.

Desde lo que parecía ser su cintura hacia arriba, parecía metal brillante con fuego dentro y por todas partes. Desde lo que parecía ser su cintura hacia abajo, vi lo que parecía fuego. Estaba rodeado de una luz muy brillante.

Y vi apariencia como de ámbar, como apariencia de fuego dentro de ella en contorno, por el aspecto de sus lomos para arriba; y desde sus lomos para abajo, vi que parecía como fuego, y que tenía resplandor alrededor.

And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.

I saw as it were glowing metal, as the appearance of fire within it all around, from the appearance of his waist and upward; and from the appearance of his waist and downward I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and there was brightness around him.

La luz brillante que lo rodeaba era como un arco iris brillando a través de las nubes en un día de lluvia. Así era la gloria del Señor. Cuando lo vi, caí de bruces en el suelo, y entonces oí que alguien me hablaba.

Cual parece el arco del cielo que está en las nubes el día que llueve, así era el parecer del resplandor alrededor. Esta fué la visión de la semejanza de la gloria de Jehová. Y luego que yo la hube visto, caí sobre mi rostro, y oí voz de uno que hablaba.

As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.
