Hijo de hombre, pon tu rostro contra Jerusalén, y derrama palabra sobre los santuarios, y profetiza sobre la tierra de Israel;

Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop thy word toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel,
“Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem, and preach toward the sanctuaries, and prophesy against the land of Israel.
y dirás a la tierra de Israel: Así dijo el SEÑOR: He aquí, que yo estoy contra ti, y sacaré mi cuchillo de su vaina, y talaré de ti al justo y al impío.
Y dirás á la tierra de Israel: Así ha dicho Jehová: He aquí, que yo contra ti, y sacaré mi espada de su vaina, y talaré de ti al justo y al impío.
And say to the land of Israel, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I am against thee, and will draw forth my sword out of his sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked.
Tell the land of Israel, ‘The LORD says: “Behold, I am against you, and will draw my sword out of its sheath, and will cut off from you the righteous and the wicked.
Y por cuanto talaré de ti al justo y al impío, por tanto, mi cuchillo saldrá de su vaina contra toda carne, desde el mediodía hasta el aquilón:

Seeing then that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of his sheath against all flesh from the south to the north:
Seeing then that I will cut off from you the righteous and the wicked, therefore my sword will go out of its sheath against all flesh from the south to the north.
y sabrá toda carne que yo, el SEÑOR, saqué mi cuchillo de su vaina; no lo envainaré más.

That all flesh may know that I the LORD have drawn forth my sword out of his sheath: it shall not return any more.
All flesh will know that I, the LORD, have drawn my sword out of its sheath. It will not return any more.”’
Y tú, hijo de hombre, gime con quebrantamiento de tus lomos, y con amargura; gime delante de los ojos de ellos.

Sigh therefore, thou son of man, with the breaking of thy loins; and with bitterness sigh before their eyes.

Y será, que cuando te dijeren: ¿Por qué gimes tú? Dirás: Por la noticia que viene; y todo corazón se desleirá, y toda mano se debilitará, y se angustiará todo espíritu, y toda rodilla se irá en aguas; he aquí que viene, y se hará, dijo el Señor DIOS.
Y será, que cuando te dijeren: ¿Por qué gimes tú? dirás: Por la fama que viene; y todo corazón se desleirá, y todas manos se debilitarán, y angustiaráse todo espíritu, y todas rodillas se irán en aguas: he aquí que viene, y hacerse ha, dice el Señor Jehová.
And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt answer, For the tidings; because it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord GOD.
It shall be, when they ask you, ‘Why do you sigh?’ that you shall say, ‘Because of the news, for it comes! Every heart will melt, all hands will be feeble, every spirit will faint, and all knees will be weak as water. Behold, it comes, and it shall be done, says the Lord GOD.’”

Hijo de hombre, profetiza, y di: Así dijo el Señor DIOS: Di: El cuchillo, el cuchillo está afilado, y aun acicalado;
Hijo del hombre, profetiza, y di: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Di: La espada, la espada está afilada, y aun acicalada;
Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD; Say, A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also furbished:
“Son of man, prophesy, and say, ‘The LORD says: “A sword! A sword! It is sharpened, and also polished.
para degollar víctimas está afilado, acicalado está para que relumbre. ¿Hemos de alegrarnos? Viene menospreciando a la vara de mi hijo como a todo árbol.
Para degollar víctimas está afilada, acicalada está para que relumbre. ¿Hemos de alegrarnos? A la vara de mi hijo viene menospreciando todo árbol.
It is sharpened to make a sore slaughter; it is furbished that it may glitter: should we then make mirth? it contemneth the rod of my son, as every tree.
It is sharpened that it may make a slaughter. It is polished that it may be as lightning. Should we then make mirth? The rod of my son condemns every tree.
Y lo dio a acicalar para tenerlo en la mano; el cuchillo está afilado, y está acicalado, para entregarlo en mano del matador.
Y dióla á acicalar para tenerla á mano: la espada está afilada, y acicalada está ella, para entregarla en mano del matador.
And he hath given it to be furbished, that it may be handled: this sword is sharpened, and it is furbished, to give it into the hand of the slayer.
It is given to be polished, that it may be handled. The sword is sharpened. Yes, it is polished to give it into the hand of the killer.”’
Clama y aúlla, oh hijo de hombre; porque éste será sobre mi pueblo, será él sobre todos los príncipes de Israel. Temores de cuchillo serán a mi pueblo; por tanto, hiere el muslo;

Cry and howl, son of man: for it shall be upon my people, it shall be upon all the princes of Israel: terrors by reason of the sword shall be upon my people: smite therefore upon thy thigh.
Cry and wail, son of man; for it is on my people. It is on all the princes of Israel. They are delivered over to the sword with my people. Therefore beat your thigh.
porque él será prueba. Y qué sería si no menospreciase la vara, dijo el Señor DIOS.
Porque está probado. ¿Y qué, si la espada desprecia aun el cetro? El no será más, dice el Señor Jehová.
Because it is a trial, and what if the sword contemn even the rod? it shall be no more, saith the Lord GOD.
“For there is a trial. What if even the rod that condemns will be no more?” says the Lord GOD.
Tú, pues, hijo de hombre, profetiza y bate una mano con otra, y dóblese el cuchillo la tercera vez, el cuchillo de muertos; éste es cuchillo de gran matanza que los penetrará,

Thou therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite thine hands together, and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the slain: it is the sword of the great men that are slain, which entereth into their privy chambers.
“You therefore, son of man, prophesy, and strike your hands together. Let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the fatally wounded. It is the sword of the great one who is fatally wounded, which enters into their rooms.
Para que el corazón desmaye, y las ruinas se multipliquen; en todas las puertas de ellos he puesto espanto de cuchillo. ¡Ay! Que es hecho para que relumbre, y es aderezado para degollar.

I have set the point of the sword against all their gates, that their heart may faint, and their ruins be multiplied: ah! it is made bright, it is wrapped up for the slaughter.
I have set the threatening sword against all their gates, that their heart may melt, and their stumblings be multiplied. Ah! It is made as lightning. It is pointed for slaughter.

Go thee one way or other, either on the right hand, or on the left, whithersoever thy face is set.
Gather yourselves together. Go to the right. Set yourselves in array. Go to the left, wherever your face is set.
Y yo también batiré mi mano con mi mano, y haré descansar mi ira. Yo, el SEÑOR, he hablado.

I will also smite mine hands together, and I will cause my fury to rest: I the LORD have said it.

Y tú, hijo de hombre, señálate dos caminos por donde venga el cuchillo del rey de Babilonia; de una misma tierra salgan ambos: y pinta un ejército; en el principio del camino de la ciudad lo harás.
Y tú, hijo del hombre, señálate dos caminos por donde venga la espada del rey de Babilonia: de una misma tierra salgan ambos: y echa mano á la suerte: en el principio del camino de la ciudad lo harás.
Also, thou son of man, appoint thee two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come: both twain shall come forth out of one land: and choose thou a place, choose it at the head of the way to the city.
“Also, you son of man, appoint two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come. They both will come out of one land, and mark out a place. Mark it out at the head of the way to the city.

At his right hand was the divination for Jerusalem, to appoint captains, to open the mouth in the slaughter, to lift up the voice with shouting, to appoint battering rams against the gates, to cast a mount, and to build a fort.

Y les será como adivinación mentirosa en sus ojos, por estar juramentados con juramento a ellos; mas él trae a la memoria la maldad, para prenderlos.

And it shall be unto them as a false divination in their sight, to them that have sworn oaths: but he will call to remembrance the iniquity, that they may be taken.
It will be to them as a false divination in their sight, who have sworn oaths to them; but he brings iniquity to memory, that they may be taken.
Por tanto, así dijo el Señor DIOS: Por cuanto habéis hecho venir en memoria vuestras maldades, manifestando vuestras traiciones, y descubriendo vuestros pecados en todas vuestras obras; por cuanto habéis venido en memoria, seréis tomados con la mano.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear; because, I say, that ye are come to remembrance, ye shall be taken with the hand.
“Therefore the Lord GOD says: ‘Because you have caused your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are uncovered, so that in all your doings your sins appear; because you have come to memory, you will be taken with the hand.

“‘You, deadly wounded wicked one, the prince of Israel, whose day has come, in the time of the iniquity of the end,
así dijo el Señor DIOS: Depón la tiara, quita la corona; esto no será más así; al bajo alzaré, y al alto abatiré.
Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Depón la tiara, quita la corona: ésta no será más ésta: al bajo alzaré, y al alto abatiré.
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high.
the Lord GOD says: “Remove the turban, and take off the crown. This will not be as it was. Exalt that which is low, and humble that which is high.

And thou, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning the Ammonites, and concerning their reproach; even say thou, The sword, the sword is drawn: for the slaughter it is furbished, to consume because of the glittering:
“You, son of man, prophesy and say, ‘The Lord GOD says this concerning the children of Ammon, and concerning their reproach: “A sword! A sword is drawn! It is polished for the slaughter, to cause it to devour, that it may be as lightning;
Te profetizan vanidad, te adivinan mentira, para entregarte con los cuellos de los malos sentenciados a muerte, cuyo día es venido en el tiempo de la consumación de la maldad.

Whiles they see vanity unto thee, whiles they divine a lie unto thee, to bring thee upon the necks of them that are slain, of the wicked, whose day is come, when their iniquity shall have an end.
while they see for you false visions, while they divine lies to you, to lay you on the necks of the wicked who are deadly wounded, whose day has come in the time of the iniquity of the end.

Shall I cause it to return into his sheath? I will judge thee in the place where thou wast created, in the land of thy nativity.
Cause it to return into its sheath. In the place where you were created, in the land of your birth, I will judge you.
Y derramaré sobre ti mi ira; el fuego de mi enojo haré soplar sobre ti, y te entregaré en mano de hombres temerarios, artífices de destrucción.
