1Vino a mí palabra de Yahvé, diciendo:
2“Hijo de hombre, hubo dos mujeres, hijas de una misma madre.
3Estas fornicaron en Egipto; en su juventud fornicaron. Allí fueron apretados sus pechos, y allí fueron estrujados sus pezones virginales.
4Sus nombres eran Oholá la mayor y Oholibá su hermana. Fueron mías, y dieron a luz hijos e hijas. Y en cuanto a sus nombres: Samaria es Oholá, y Jerusalén, Oholibá.
5“Oholá fornicó aun estando en mi poder; y se apasionó de sus amantes, los asirios, sus vecinos,
6vestidos de azul, gobernadores y capitanes, todos ellos jóvenes codiciables, jinetes que montaban a caballo.
7Y entregó sus fornicaciones a ellos, a todos los más escogidos de los hijos de Asiria; y con todos aquellos de quienes se enamoró, se contaminó con todos sus ídolos.
8Y no dejó sus fornicaciones de Egipto; porque se acostaron con ella en su juventud, y ellos estrujaron sus pezones virginales y derramaron sobre ella su fornicación.
9“Por tanto, la entregué en manos de sus amantes, en manos de los hijos de los asirios, de los cuales se había enamorado.
10Ellos descubrieron su desnudez; tomaron sus hijos y sus hijas, y a ella la mataron a espada. Y vino a ser renombrada entre las mujeres, pues en ella ejecutaron juicios.
11“Viéndolo su hermana Oholibá, se corrompió en sus amores más que ella, y sus fornicaciones fueron mayores que las fornicaciones de su hermana.
12Se enamoró de los hijos de los asirios, gobernadores y capitanes, sus vecinos, vestidos con ropas lujosas, jinetes que montaban a caballo, todos ellos jóvenes codiciables.
13Y vi que se había contaminado; el mismo camino siguieron las dos.
14“Pero esta aumentó sus fornicaciones; pues cuando vio hombres pintados en la pared, imágenes de caldeos pintadas de bermellón,
15ceñidos los lomos con talabartes, y con tiaras de colores en sus cabezas, teniendo todos ellos apariencia de capitanes, a semejanza de los hijos de Babilonia, cuya tierra nativa es Caldea,
16se enamoró de ellos a primera vista, y les envió mensajeros a Caldea.
17Y los hijos de Babilonia vinieron a ella al lecho de los amores, y la contaminaron con sus fornicaciones; y ella se contaminó con ellos, y su alma se hastió de ellos.
18Así descubrió sus fornicaciones y descubrió su desnudez; entonces mi alma se hastió de ella, como se había hastiado mi alma de su hermana.
19Sin embargo, ella multiplicó sus fornicaciones, trayendo a la memoria los días de su juventud, cuando fornicaba en la tierra de Egipto.
20Y se apasionó de sus amantes, cuya carne es como carne de asnos, y cuyo flujo es como flujo de caballos.
21Así echaste de menos la lujuria de tu juventud, cuando los egipcios estrujaban tus pezones a causa de tus pechos juveniles.
22“Por tanto, Oholibá, así dice el Señor Yahvé: He aquí que yo suscitaré contra ti a tus amantes, de los cuales se hastió tu alma, y los traeré contra ti de todos lados:
23a los hijos de Babilonia y a todos los caldeos, a Pecod, a Soa y a Coa, y a todos los hijos de Asiria con ellos; jóvenes codiciables, gobernadores y capitanes todos ellos, grandes señores y hombres de renombre, todos ellos jinetes a caballo.
24Y vendrán contra ti con armas, carros y carretas, y con multitud de pueblos; pondrán contra ti escudo, adarga y yelmo alrededor. Y yo pondré delante de ellos el juicio, y ellos te juzgarán según sus leyes.
25Y pondré mi celo contra ti, y actuarán contigo con furor; te quitarán la nariz y las orejas, y lo que te quede caerá a espada. Tomarán a tus hijos y a tus hijas, y tu remanente será consumido por el fuego.
26Te despojarán de tus vestidos y se llevarán tus hermosas alhajas.
27Y haré cesar de ti tu lujuria y tu fornicación de la tierra de Egipto; y no levantarás ya tus ojos hacia ellos, ni te acordarás más de Egipto.
28“Porque así dice el Señor Yahvé: He aquí que yo te entrego en manos de aquellos a quienes aborreces, en manos de aquellos de los cuales se hastió tu alma.
29Y ellos obrarán contigo con odio, y te quitarán todo el fruto de tu trabajo, y te dejarán desnuda y descubierta; y se descubrirá la desnudez de tus fornicaciones, y tu lujuria y tus fornicaciones.
30Estas cosas se harán contigo, porque fornicaste en pos de las naciones, con las cuales te contaminaste en sus ídolos.
31En el camino de tu hermana anduviste; yo, pues, pondré su copa en tu mano.
32“Así dice el Señor Yahvé: Beberás la honda y ancha copa de tu hermana; serás objeto de risa y de escarnio; cabe mucho en ella.
33Te llenarás de embriaguez y de dolor, con la copa de espanto y de asolamiento, con la copa de tu hermana Samaria.
34La beberás, pues, y la apurarás, y quebrarás sus tiestos, y te arrancarás los pechos; porque yo he hablado, dice el Señor Yahvé.
35«Por tanto, así dice el Señor Yahvé: Por cuanto te has olvidado de mí, y me has echado tras tus espaldas, lleva tú también tu lujuria y tus fornicaciones».
36Y me dijo Yahvé: “Hijo de hombre, ¿juzgarás tú a Oholá y a Oholibá? Declárales, pues, sus abominaciones.
37Porque han adulterado, y hay sangre en sus manos; han fornicado con sus ídolos, y aun a sus hijos que dieron a luz para mí, los hicieron pasar por el fuego para que fuesen consumidos.
38Aún esto más me hicieron: contaminaron mi santuario en el mismo día, y profanaron mis sábados.
39Pues habiendo sacrificado sus hijos a sus ídolos, entraban en mi santuario el mismo día para contaminarlo; y he aquí, así hicieron en medio de mi casa.
40“Además, enviaron por hombres que venían de lejos, a los cuales había sido enviado mensajero; y he aquí que vinieron; y por amor a ellos te lavaste, y pintaste tus ojos con antimonio, y te ataviaste con adornos;
41y te sentaste sobre un suntuoso lecho, y una mesa preparada delante de él, sobre la cual pusiste mi incienso y mi aceite.
42“Y se oyó en ella voz de multitud despreocupada; y con los hombres de la plebe fueron traídos borrachos del desierto, y pusieron brazaletes en las manos de ellas, y hermosas coronas sobre sus cabezas.
43Y dije respecto a la envejecida en adulterios: ¿Fornicarán ahora con ella, y ella con ellos?
44Y entraron a ella como quien entra a una ramera; así entraron a Oholá y a Oholibá, mujeres depravadas.
45Por tanto, los hombres justos las juzgarán según la ley de las adúlteras, y según la ley de las que derraman sangre; porque son adúlteras, y hay sangre en sus manos.
46«Porque así dice el Señor Yahvé: Yo haré subir contra ellas una multitud, y las entregaré a la turbación y a la rapiña.
47Y la multitud las apedreará, y las atravesarán con sus espadas; matarán a sus hijos y a sus hijas, y quemarán sus casas con fuego.
48Y haré cesar la lujuria de la tierra, para que todas las mujeres escarmienten y no hagan según vuestras obscenidades.
49Y cargarán vuestra lujuria sobre vosotras, y llevaréis los pecados de vuestros ídolos; y sabréis que yo soy el Señor Yahvé».

4Y llamábanse, la mayor, Aholah, y su hermana, Aholibah; las cuales fueron mías, y parieron hijos é hijas. Y llamáronse, Samaria, Aholah; y Jerusalem, Aholibah.
5Y Aholah cometió fornicación en mi poder: y prendóse de sus amantes, los Asirios sus vecinos,
6Vestidos de cárdeno, capitanes y príncipes, mancebos todos de codiciar, caballeros que andaban á caballo.
7Y puso sus fornicaciones con ellos, con todos los más escogidos de los hijos de los Asirios, y con todos aquellos de quienes se enamoró: contaminóse con todos los ídolos de ellos.
8Y no dejó sus fornicaciones de Egipto: porque con ella se echaron en su mocedad, y ellos comprimieron los pechos de su virginidad, y derramaron sobre ella su fornicación.
9Por lo cual la entregué en mano de sus amantes, en mano de los hijos de los Asirios, de quienes se había enamorado.
10Ellos descubrieron sus vergüenzas, tomaron sus hijos y sus hijas, y á ella mataron á cuchillo: y vino á ser de nombre entre las mujeres, pues en ella hicieron juicios.
11Y viólo su hermana Aholibah, y estragó su amor más que ella; y sus fornicaciones, más que las fornicaciones de su hermana.
12Enamoróse de los hijos de los Asirios, sus vecinos, capitanes y príncipes, vestidos en perfección, caballeros que andaban á caballo, todos ellos mancebos de codiciar.
13Y vi que se había contaminado: un camino era el de ambas.
14Y aumentó sus fornicaciones: pues cuando vió hombres pintados en la pared, imágenes de Caldeos pintadas de color,
15Ceñidos de talabartes por sus lomos, y tiaras pintadas en sus cabezas, teniendo todos ellos parecer de capitanes, á la manera de los hombres de Babilonia, nacidos en tierra de Caldeos,
16Enamoróse de ellos en viéndolos, y envióles mensajeros á la tierra de los Caldeos.
17Y entraron á ella los hombres de Babilonia á la cama de los amores, y contamináronla con su fornicación; y ella también se contaminó con ellos, y su deseo se hartó de ellos.
18Así hizo patentes sus fornicaciones, y descubrió sus vergüenzas: por lo cual mi alma se hartó de ella, como se había ya hartado mi alma de su hermana.
19Aun multiplicó sus fornicaciones trayendo en memoria los días de su mocedad, en los cuales había fornicado en la tierra de Egipto.
20Y enamoróse de sus rufianes, cuya carne es como carne de asnos, y cuyo flujo como flujo de caballos.
21Así tornaste á la memoria la suciedad de tu mocedad, cuando comprimieron tus pechos en Egipto por los pechos de tu mocedad.
22Por tanto, Aholibah, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: He aquí que yo despierto tus amantes contra ti, de los cuales se hartó tu deseo, y yo les haré venir contra ti en derredor;
23Los de Babilonia, y todos los Caldeos, mayordomos, y príncipes, y capitanes, todos los de Asiria con ellos: mancebos todos ellos de codiciar, capitanes y príncipes, nobles y principales, que montan á caballo todos ellos.
24Y vendrán sobre ti carros, carretas, y ruedas, y multitud de pueblos. Escudos, y paveses, y capacetes pondrán contra ti en derredor; y yo daré el juicio delante de ellos, y por sus leyes te juzgarán.
25Y pondré mi celo contra ti, y obrarán contigo con furor; quitarte han tu nariz y tus orejas; y lo que te quedare caerá á cuchillo. Ellos tomarán tus hijos y tus hijas, y tu residuo será consumido por el fuego.
26Y te desnudarán de tus vestidos, y tomarán los vasos de tu gloria.
27Y haré cesar de ti tu suciedad, y tu fornicación de la tierra de Egipto: ni más levantarás á ellos tus ojos, ni nunca más te acordarás de Egipto.
28Porque así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: He aquí, yo te entrego en mano de aquellos que tú aborreciste, en mano de aquellos de los cuales se hartó tu deseo:
29Los cuales obrarán contigo con odio, y tomarán todo lo que tú trabajaste, y te dejarán desnuda y descubierta: y descubriráse la torpeza de tus fornicaciones, y tu suciedad, y tus fornicaciones.
30Estas cosas se harán contigo, porque fornicaste en pos de las gentes, con las cuales te contaminaste en sus ídolos.
31En el camino de tu hermana anduviste: yo pues pondré su cáliz en tu mano.
32Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Beberás el hondo y ancho cáliz de tu hermana; de ti se mofarán las gentes, y te escarnecerán: de grande cabida es.
33Serás llena de embriaguez y de dolor por el cáliz de soledad y de asolamiento, por el cáliz de tu hermana Samaria.
34Lo beberás pues, y lo agotarás, y quebrarás sus tiestos; y tus pechos arrancarás; porque yo he hablado, dice el Señor Jehová.
35Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto te has olvidado de mí, y me has echado tras tus espaldas, por eso, lleva tú también tu suciedad y tus fornicaciones.
36Y díjome Jehová: Hijo del hombre, ¿no juzgarás tú á Aholah, y á Aholibah, y les denunciarás sus abominaciones?
37Porque han adulterado, y hay sangre en sus manos, y han fornicado con sus ídolos; y aun sus hijos que me habían engendrado, hicieron pasar por el fuego, quemándolos.
38Aun esto más me hicieron: contaminaron mi santuario en aquel día, y profanaron mis sábados;
39Pues habiendo sacrificado sus hijos á sus ídolos, entrábanse en mi santuario el mismo día para contaminarlo: y he aquí, así hicieron en medio de mi casa.
40Y cuanto más, que enviaron por hombres que vienen de lejos, á los cuales había sido enviado mensajero: y he aquí vinieron; y por amor de ellos te lavaste, y alcoholaste tus ojos, y te ataviaste con adornos:
41Y te sentaste sobre suntuoso estrado, y fué adornada mesa delante de él, y sobre ella pusiste mi perfume y mi óleo.
42Y oyóse en ella voz de compañía en holganza: y con los varones fueron traídos de la gente común los Sabeos del desierto; y pusieron manillas sobre sus manos, y coronas de gloria sobre sus cabezas.
43Y dije á la envejecida en adulterios: Sus prostituciones cumplirán ellos ahora, y ella con ellos:
44Porque han venido á ella como quien viene á mujer ramera: así vinieron á Aholah y á Aholibah, mujeres depravadas.
45Por tanto, hombres justos las juzgarán por la ley de las adúlteras, y por la ley de las que derraman sangre: porque son adúlteras, y sangre hay en sus manos.
46Por lo que así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Yo haré subir contra ellas compañías, las entregaré á turbación y á rapiña:
47Y la compañía de gentes las apedreará con piedras, y las acuchillará con sus espadas: matarán á sus hijos y á sus hijas, y sus casas consumirán con fuego.
48Y haré cesar la depravación de la tierra, y escarmentarán todas las mujeres, y no harán según vuestra torpeza.
49Y sobre vosotras pondrán vuestra obscenidad, y llevaréis los pecados de vuestros ídolos; y sabréis que yo soy el Señor Jehová.

1The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
2Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother:
3And they committed whoredoms in Egypt; they committed whoredoms in their youth: there were their breasts pressed, and there they bruised the teats of their virginity.
4And the names of them were Aholah the elder, and Aholibah her sister: and they were mine, and they bare sons and daughters. Thus were their names; Samaria is Aholah, and Jerusalem Aholibah.
5And Aholah played the harlot when she was mine; and she doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians her neighbours,
6Which were clothed with blue, captains and rulers, all of them desirable young men, horsemen riding upon horses.
7Thus she committed her whoredoms with them, with all them that were the chosen men of Assyria, and with all on whom she doted: with all their idols she defiled herself.
8Neither left she her whoredoms brought from Egypt: for in her youth they lay with her, and they bruised the breasts of her virginity, and poured their whoredom upon her.
9Wherefore I have delivered her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the Assyrians, upon whom she doted.
10These discovered her nakedness: they took her sons and her daughters, and slew her with the sword: and she became famous among women; for they had executed judgment upon her.
11And when her sister Aholibah saw this, she was more corrupt in her inordinate love than she, and in her whoredoms more than her sister in her whoredoms.
12She doted upon the Assyrians her neighbours, captains and rulers clothed most gorgeously, horsemen riding upon horses, all of them desirable young men.
13Then I saw that she was defiled, that they took both one way,
14And that she increased her whoredoms: for when she saw men pourtrayed upon the wall, the images of the Chaldeans pourtrayed with vermilion,
15Girded with girdles upon their loins, exceeding in dyed attire upon their heads, all of them princes to look to, after the manner of the Babylonians of Chaldea, the land of their nativity:
16And as soon as she saw them with her eyes, she doted upon them, and sent messengers unto them into Chaldea.
17And the Babylonians came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their whoredom, and she was polluted with them, and her mind was alienated from them.
18So she discovered her whoredoms, and discovered her nakedness: then my mind was alienated from her, like as my mind was alienated from her sister.
19Yet she multiplied her whoredoms, in calling to remembrance the days of her youth, wherein she had played the harlot in the land of Egypt.
20For she doted upon their paramours, whose flesh is as the flesh of asses, and whose issue is like the issue of horses.
21Thus thou calledst to remembrance the lewdness of thy youth, in bruising thy teats by the Egyptians for the paps of thy youth.
22Therefore, O Aholibah, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will raise up thy lovers against thee, from whom thy mind is alienated, and I will bring them against thee on every side;
23The Babylonians, and all the Chaldeans, Pekod, and Shoa, and Koa, and all the Assyrians with them: all of them desirable young men, captains and rulers, great lords and renowned, all of them riding upon horses.
24And they shall come against thee with chariots, wagons, and wheels, and with an assembly of people, which shall set against thee buckler and shield and helmet round about: and I will set judgment before them, and they shall judge thee according to their judgments.
25And I will set my jealousy against thee, and they shall deal furiously with thee: they shall take away thy nose and thine ears; and thy remnant shall fall by the sword: they shall take thy sons and thy daughters; and thy residue shall be devoured by the fire.
26They shall also strip thee out of thy clothes, and take away thy fair jewels.
27Thus will I make thy lewdness to cease from thee, and thy whoredom brought from the land of Egypt: so that thou shalt not lift up thine eyes unto them, nor remember Egypt any more.
28For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will deliver thee into the hand of them whom thou hatest, into the hand of them from whom thy mind is alienated:
29And they shall deal with thee hatefully, and shall take away all thy labour, and shall leave thee naked and bare: and the nakedness of thy whoredoms shall be discovered, both thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.
30I will do these things unto thee, because thou hast gone a whoring after the heathen, and because thou art polluted with their idols.
31Thou hast walked in the way of thy sister; therefore will I give her cup into thine hand.
32Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou shalt drink of thy sister’s cup deep and large: thou shalt be laughed to scorn and had in derision; it containeth much.
33Thou shalt be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, with the cup of astonishment and desolation, with the cup of thy sister Samaria.
34Thou shalt even drink it and suck it out, and thou shalt break the sherds thereof, and pluck off thine own breasts: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
35Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast forgotten me, and cast me behind thy back, therefore bear thou also thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.
36The LORD said moreover unto me; Son of man, wilt thou judge Aholah and Aholibah? yea, declare unto them their abominations;
37That they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands, and with their idols have they committed adultery, and have also caused their sons, whom they bare unto me, to pass for them through the fire, to devour them.
38Moreover this they have done unto me: they have defiled my sanctuary in the same day, and have profaned my sabbaths.
39For when they had slain their children to their idols, then they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it; and, lo, thus have they done in the midst of mine house.
40And furthermore, that ye have sent for men to come from far, unto whom a messenger was sent; and, lo, they came: for whom thou didst wash thyself, paintedst thy eyes, and deckedst thyself with ornaments,
41And satest upon a stately bed, and a table prepared before it, whereupon thou hast set mine incense and mine oil.
42And a voice of a multitude being at ease was with her: and with the men of the common sort were brought Sabeans from the wilderness, which put bracelets upon their hands, and beautiful crowns upon their heads.
43Then said I unto her that was old in adulteries, Will they now commit whoredoms with her, and she with them?
44Yet they went in unto her, as they go in unto a woman that playeth the harlot: so went they in unto Aholah and unto Aholibah, the lewd women.
45And the righteous men, they shall judge them after the manner of adulteresses, and after the manner of women that shed blood; because they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.
46For thus saith the Lord GOD; I will bring up a company upon them, and will give them to be removed and spoiled.
47And the company shall stone them with stones, and dispatch them with their swords; they shall slay their sons and their daughters, and burn up their houses with fire.
48Thus will I cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to do after your lewdness.
49And they shall recompense your lewdness upon you, and ye shall bear the sins of your idols: and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
World English Bible
1The LORD’s word came again to me, saying,
2“Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother.
3They played the prostitute in Egypt. They played the prostitute in their youth. Their breasts were fondled there, and their youthful nipples were caressed there.
4Their names were Oholah the elder, and Oholibah her sister. They became mine, and they bore sons and daughters. As for their names, Samaria is Oholah, and Jerusalem Oholibah.
5“Oholah played the prostitute when she was mine. She doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians her neighbors,
6who were clothed with blue—governors and rulers, all of them desirable young men, horsemen riding on horses.
7She gave herself as a prostitute to them, all of them the choicest men of Assyria. She defiled herself with the idols of whomever she lusted after.
8She hasn’t left her prostitution since leaving Egypt; for in her youth they lay with her. They caressed her youthful nipples and they poured out their prostitution on her.
9“Therefore I delivered her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the Assyrians on whom she doted.
10These uncovered her nakedness. They took her sons and her daughters, and they killed her with the sword. She became a byword among women; for they executed judgments on her.
11“Her sister Oholibah saw this, yet she was more corrupt in her lusting than she, and in her prostitution which was more depraved than the prostitution of her sister.
12She lusted after the Assyrians, governors and rulers—her neighbors, clothed most gorgeously, horsemen riding on horses, all of them desirable young men.
13I saw that she was defiled. They both went the same way.
14“She increased her prostitution; for she saw men portrayed on the wall, the images of the Chaldeans portrayed with red,
15dressed with belts on their waists, with flowing turbans on their heads, all of them looking like princes, after the likeness of the Babylonians in Chaldea, the land of their birth.
16As soon as she saw them, she lusted after them and sent messengers to them into Chaldea.
17The Babylonians came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their prostitution. She was polluted with them, and her soul was alienated from them.
18So she uncovered her prostitution and uncovered her nakedness. Then my soul was alienated from her, just like my soul was alienated from her sister.
19Yet she multiplied her prostitution, remembering the days of her youth, in which she had played the prostitute in the land of Egypt.
20She lusted after their lovers, whose flesh is as the flesh of donkeys, and whose issue is like the issue of horses.
21Thus you called to memory the lewdness of your youth, in the caressing of your nipples by the Egyptians because of your youthful breasts.
22“Therefore, Oholibah, the Lord GOD says: ‘Behold, I will raise up your lovers against you, from whom your soul is alienated, and I will bring them against you on every side:
23the Babylonians and all the Chaldeans, Pekod, Shoa, Koa, and all the Assyrians with them; all of them desirable young men, governors and rulers, princes and men of renown, all of them riding on horses.
24They will come against you with weapons, chariots, and wagons, and with a company of peoples. They will set themselves against you with buckler, shield, and helmet all around. I will commit the judgment to them, and they will judge you according to their judgments.
25I will set my jealousy against you, and they will deal with you in fury. They will take away your nose and your ears. Your remnant will fall by the sword. They will take your sons and your daughters; and the rest of you will be devoured by the fire.
26They will also strip you of your clothes and take away your beautiful jewels.
27Thus I will make your lewdness to cease from you, and remove your prostitution from the land of Egypt, so that you will not lift up your eyes to them, nor remember Egypt any more.’
28“For the Lord GOD says: ‘Behold, I will deliver you into the hand of them whom you hate, into the hand of them from whom your soul is alienated.
29They will deal with you in hatred, and will take away all your labor, and will leave you naked and bare. The nakedness of your prostitution will be uncovered, both your lewdness and your prostitution.
30These things will be done to you because you have played the prostitute after the nations, and because you are polluted with their idols.
31You have walked in the way of your sister; therefore I will give her cup into your hand.’
32“The Lord GOD says: ‘You will drink of your sister’s cup, which is deep and large. You will be ridiculed and held in derision. It contains much.
33You will be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, with the cup of astonishment and desolation, with the cup of your sister Samaria.
34You will even drink it and drain it out. You will gnaw the broken pieces of it, and will tear your breasts; for I have spoken it,’ says the Lord GOD.
35“Therefore the Lord GOD says: ‘Because you have forgotten me and cast me behind your back, therefore you also bear your lewdness and your prostitution.’”
36The LORD said moreover to me: “Son of man, will you judge Oholah and Oholibah? Then declare to them their abominations.
37For they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands. They have committed adultery with their idols. They have also caused their sons, whom they bore to me, to pass through the fire to them to be devoured.
38Moreover this they have done to me: they have defiled my sanctuary in the same day, and have profaned my Sabbaths.
39For when they had slain their children to their idols, then they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it; and behold, they have done this in the middle of my house.
40“Furthermore you sisters have sent for men who come from far away, to whom a messenger was sent, and behold, they came; for whom you washed yourself, painted your eyes, decorated yourself with ornaments,
41and sat on a stately bed, with a table prepared before it, whereupon you set my incense and my oil.
42“The voice of a multitude being at ease was with her. With men of the common sort were brought drunkards from the wilderness; and they put bracelets on their hands, and beautiful crowns on their heads.
43Then I said of her who was old in adulteries, ‘Now they will play the prostitute with her, and she with them.’
44They went in to her, as they go in to a prostitute. So they went in to Oholah and to Oholibah, the lewd women.
45Righteous men will judge them with the judgment of adulteresses and with the judgment of women who shed blood, because they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.
46“For the Lord GOD says: ‘I will bring up a mob against them, and will give them to be tossed back and forth and robbed.
47The company will stone them with stones and dispatch them with their swords. They will kill their sons and their daughters, and burn up their houses with fire.
48“‘Thus I will cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to be lewd like you.
49They will recompense your lewdness on you, and you will bear the sins of your idols. Then you will know that I am the Lord GOD.’”
