And they committed whoredoms in Egypt; they committed whoredoms in their youth: there were their breasts pressed, and there they bruised the teats of their virginity.
They played the prostitute in Egypt. They played the prostitute in their youth. Their breasts were fondled there, and their youthful nipples were caressed there.
Now as for their names, the older was Oholah, and Oholibah was her sister. And ⌞they became mine⌟, and they bore sons and daughters, and their names are Samaria for Oholah, and Jerusalem for Oholibah.

And her whorings from the time of Egypt she did not abandon, for they slept with her in her childhood, and they caressed the bosoms of her virginity, and they poured out their fornication on her.

Neither left she her whoredoms brought from Egypt: for in her youth they lay with her, and they bruised the breasts of her virginity, and poured their whoredom upon her.

Therefore I gave her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the ⌞Assyrians⌟ ⌞after whom she lusted⌟.

She lusted after the ⌞Assyrians⌟, governors and prefects, warriors clothed in perfection, ⌞expert horsemen⌟, all of them ⌞handsome young men⌟.

“She increased her prostitution; for she saw men portrayed on the wall, the images of the Chaldeans portrayed with red,
belted with a belt at their waist with turbans on their heads, all of them giving the appearance of adjutants, the image of the ⌞Babylonians⌟; Chaldea was the land of their birth.

dressed with belts on their waists, with flowing turbans on their heads, all of them looking like princes, after the likeness of the Babylonians in Chaldea, the land of their birth.
And she lusted for them ⌞when her eyes saw them⌟, and she sent messengers to them at Chaldea.

Thus thou calledst to remembrance the lewdness of thy youth, in bruising thy teats by the Egyptians for the paps of thy youth.

“Therefore, Oholibah, thus says the Lord Yahweh: ‘Look! I am stirring up your lovers against you concerning whom you turned away, and I will bring them against you from all around:

Therefore, O Aholibah, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will raise up thy lovers against thee, from whom thy mind is alienated, and I will bring them against thee on every side;

the ⌞Babylonians⌟ and all of the Chaldeans, Pekod and Shoa and Koa, all of the ⌞Assyrians⌟ along with them, ⌞handsome young men⌟, governors and prefects, all of them adjutants ⌞and excellent horsemen⌟.
Los de Babilonia, y todos los Caldeos, mayordomos, y príncipes, y capitanes, todos los de Asiria con ellos: mancebos todos ellos de codiciar, capitanes y príncipes, nobles y principales, que montan á caballo todos ellos.

And they will come against you with an army chariot and wagon and with a crowd of peoples; they will set themselves against you from all around with large shield and small shield and helmet. And I will give ⌞before them⌟ judgment, and they will judge you with their judgments.
Y vendrán sobre ti carros, carretas, y ruedas, y multitud de pueblos. Escudos, y paveses, y capacetes pondrán contra ti en derredor; y yo daré el juicio delante de ellos, y por sus leyes te juzgarán.
And they shall come against thee with chariots, wagons, and wheels, and with an assembly of people, which shall set against thee buckler and shield and helmet round about: and I will set judgment before them, and they shall judge thee according to their judgments.
They will come against you with weapons, chariots, and wagons, and with a company of peoples. They will set themselves against you with buckler, shield, and helmet all around. I will commit the judgment to them, and they will judge you according to their judgments.
And I will direct my zeal against you, and they will deal with you in anger; your nose and your ears they will remove, and ⌞those who are left⌟, they will fall by the sword, and they will take your sons and your daughters, and ⌞your remnant⌟ will be consumed by fire.
Y pondré mi celo contra ti, y obrarán contigo con furor; quitarte han tu nariz y tus orejas; y lo que te quedare caerá á cuchillo. Ellos tomarán tus hijos y tus hijas, y tu residuo será consumido por el fuego.
And I will set my jealousy against thee, and they shall deal furiously with thee: they shall take away thy nose and thine ears; and thy remnant shall fall by the sword: they shall take thy sons and thy daughters; and thy residue shall be devoured by the fire.

And they will strip you of your clothes, and they will take ⌞your splendid jewelry⌟.

Y haré cesar de ti tu suciedad, y tu fornicación de la tierra de Egipto: ni más levantarás á ellos tus ojos, ni nunca más te acordarás de Egipto.
Thus will I make thy lewdness to cease from thee, and thy whoredom brought from the land of Egypt: so that thou shalt not lift up thine eyes unto them, nor remember Egypt any more.

For thus says the Lord Yahweh: ‘Look! I am giving you into the hand of those you hated, into the hand of those from whom you turned away.

“For the Lord GOD says: ‘Behold, I will deliver you into the hand of them whom you hate, into the hand of them from whom your soul is alienated.
And they will deal with you in hatred, and they will take all of your acquisitions, and they will leave you naked and in bareness; and the nakedness of your fornication and your obscene conduct and your whorings will be exposed.
Los cuales obrarán contigo con odio, y tomarán todo lo que tú trabajaste, y te dejarán desnuda y descubierta: y descubriráse la torpeza de tus fornicaciones, y tu suciedad, y tus fornicaciones.
And they shall deal with thee hatefully, and shall take away all thy labour, and shall leave thee naked and bare: and the nakedness of thy whoredoms shall be discovered, both thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.

These things are accomplished against you since you prostituted yourself after the nations, and on account of that, you defiled yourself by their idols.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou shalt drink of thy sister’s cup deep and large: thou shalt be laughed to scorn and had in derision; it containeth much.
“The Lord GOD says: ‘You will drink of your sister’s cup, which is deep and large. You will be ridiculed and held in derision. It contains much.
You will be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, for a cup of horror and desolation is the cup of your sister, Samaria.

Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: “Because you have forgotten me, and you threw me behind your back, now in turn you bear your obscene conduct and your whorings.”

“Therefore the Lord GOD says: ‘Because you have forgotten me and cast me behind your back, therefore you also bear your lewdness and your prostitution.’”
And Yahweh said to me, “Son of man, will you judge Oholah and Oholibah and declare their abominable deeds to them?

The LORD said moreover unto me; Son of man, wilt thou judge Aholah and Aholibah? yea, declare unto them their abominations;

For they committed adultery, and blood is on their hands, and they committed adultery with their idols, and even their children that they had borne for me—they sacrificed them as food!

“Furthermore you sisters have sent for men who come from far away, to whom a messenger was sent, and behold, they came; for whom you washed yourself, painted your eyes, decorated yourself with ornaments,
And you sat on a magnificent couch and a table prepared ⌞before her⌟, and my incense and my olive oil you put on her.

And I said to the one worn out with adulteries, ‘Now they will prostitute her concerning her fornication, even her.’

And an assembly must stone them with stones, and they must cut them down. With their swords they shall kill their sons and their daughters, and with fire they shall burn their houses.

And ⌞I will cause obscene conduct to cease from the land⌟, and all of the women will be warned, and they will not do according to your wickedness.
Y haré cesar la depravación de la tierra, y escarmentarán todas las mujeres, y no harán según vuestra torpeza.
Thus will I cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to do after your lewdness.
“‘Thus I will cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to be lewd like you.
And they will repay your obscene conduct upon you, and the guilt of your idols you will bear, and you will know that I am the Lord Yahweh.
Y sobre vosotras pondrán vuestra obscenidad, y llevaréis los pecados de vuestros ídolos; y sabréis que yo soy el Señor Jehová.
And they shall recompense your lewdness upon you, and ye shall bear the sins of your idols: and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
They will recompense your lewdness on you, and you will bear the sins of your idols. Then you will know that I am the Lord GOD.’”
