Ezequiel 24

1OR nell'anno nono, del decimo mese, nel decimo giorno del mese, la parola del Signore mi fu indirizzata dicendo:
2Figliuol d'uomo, scriviti il nome di questo giorno, di questo stesso giorno; il re di Babilonia si è posto sopra Gerusalemme questo stesso giorno.
3E proponi una parabola a questa casa ribelle, e di' loro: Così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Metti la pignatta al fuoco; mettivela ed anche versavi dentro dell'acqua.
4Raccogli i suoi pezzi di carne dentro di essa, ogni buon pezzo, coscia, e spalla; empila della scelta delle ossa.
5Prendi delle migliori bestie della greggia, e anche disponi le ossa nel fondo di essa; falla bollire a gran bollori, e sieno anche le sue ossa cotte dentro di essa.
6Perciò, così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Guai alla città di sangue, alla pignatta, che ha dentro di sè la sua bruttura, la cui bruttura non è uscita fuori! vuotala a pezzo a pezzo; non traggasi la sorte sopra essa.
7Conciossiachè il suo sangue sia stato in mezzo di lei; essa l'ha posto sopra un sasso liscio, non l'ha sparso in terra, per coprirlo di polvere.
8Io altresì, montando in ira, per far vendetta, metterò il suo sangue sopra un sasso liscio, acciocchè non sia coperto.
9Perciò, così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Guai alla città di sangue! anch'io farò una grande stipa;
10mettendovi legne assai, accendendo il fuoco, e facendo consumar la carne, e riducendola ad esser come una composizione di odori; talchè anche le ossa saranno arse.
11Poi facendola star vuota sopra le sue brace; acciocchè si riscaldi, e sia bruciato il suo rame, e che la sua bruttura sia strutta in mezzo di essa, e che la sua schiuma sia consumata.
12Ella si è affaticata intorno a cose vane, e la sua grossa schiuma non è uscita fuor di lei; la sua schiuma non è uscita per lo fuoco.
13Vi è scelleratezza nella tua immondizia; perciocchè io ti avea nettata, e tu non sei stata netta; tu non sarai più nettata della tua immondizia, finchè io abbia acquetata l'ira mia sopra te.
14Io, il Signore, ho parlato; la cosa avverrà, ed io l'eseguirò; io non la rivocherò, e non risparmierò, e non mi pentirò. Coloro ti giudicheranno secondo le tue vie, e secondo i tuoi fatti, dice il Signore Iddio.
15La parola del Signore mi fu ancora indirizzata, dicendo:
16Figliuol d'uomo, ecco, io ti tolgo il desio de' tuoi occhi, per una piaga; e tu, non farne cordoglio, e non piangerne, e non ispanderne lagrime.
17Rimanti di sospirare, non far duolo di morto; legati la tua tiara in sul capo, e mettiti le tue scarpe ne' piedi, e non velarti il labbro disopra, e non mangiare il pan delle persone afflitte.
18Io parlai adunque la mattina al popolo, e la sera la mia moglie morì; e la mattina seguente feci come mi era stato comandato.
19E il popolo mi disse: Non ci dichiarerai tu ciò che ci significano queste cose che tu fai?
20Ed io risposi loro: La parola del Signore mi è stata indirizzata, dicendo:
21Di' alla casa d'Israele: Così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Ecco, io profano il mio santuario, la magnificenza della vostra forza, il desio degli occhi vostri, e la tenerezza delle anime vostre; e i vostri figliuoli, e le vostre figliuole, che voi avete lasciate, caderanno per la spada.
22E voi farete come ho fatto io; voi non vi velerete il labbro di sopra, e non mangerete il pane delle persone afflitte;
23ed avrete le vostre tiare in su la testa, e le vostre scarpe ne' piedi; non farete cordoglio, e non piangerete; ma vi struggerete per le vostre iniquità, e gemerete l'un con l'altro.
24Ed Ezechiele vi sarà per segno; voi farete del tutto come egli ha fatto; quando ciò sarà avvenuto, voi conoscerete che io sono il Signore Iddio.
25E quant'è a te, figliuol d'uomo, nel giorno che io torrò loro la lor forza, la gioia della lor gloria, il desio degli occhi loro, e l'intento delle anime loro, i lor figliuoli, e le lor figliuole;
26in quel giorno, colui che sarà scampato non verrà egli a te, per fartene saper le novelle?
27In quel giorno la bocca tua ti sarà aperta, per parlar con colui che sarà scampato, e tu parlerai, e non sarai più mutolo, e sarai loro per segno; ed essi conosceranno che io sono il Signore.

1Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová en el noveno año, en el mes décimo, á los diez del mes, diciendo:
2Hijo del hombre, escríbete el nombre de este día: el rey de Babilonia se puso sobre Jerusalem este mismo día.
3Y habla á la casa de rebelión por parábola, y diles: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Pon una olla, ponla, y echa también en ella agua:
4Junta sus piezas en ella; todas buenas piezas, pierna y espalda; hínchela de huesos escogidos.
5Toma una oveja escogida; y también enciende los huesos debajo de ella; haz que hierva bien; coced también sus huesos dentro de ella.
6Pues así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: ¡Ay de la ciudad de sangres, de la olla no espumada, y cuya espuma no salió de ella! Por sus piezas, por sus piezas sácala; no caiga sobre ella suerte.
7Porque su sangre fué en medio de ella: sobre una piedra alisada la puso; no la derramó sobre la tierra para que fuese cubierta con polvo.
8Habiendo, pues, hecho subir la ira para hacer venganza, yo pondré su sangre sobre la dura piedra, para que no sea cubierta.
9Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: ¡Ay de la ciudad de sangres! Pues también haré yo gran hoguera,
10Multiplicando la leña, encendiendo el fuego, para consumir la carne, y hacer la salsa; y los huesos serán quemados:
11Asentando después la olla vacía sobre sus brasas, para que se caldee, y se queme su fondo, y se funda en ella su suciedad, y se consuma su espuma.
12En fraude se cansó, y no salió de ella su mucha espuma. En fuego será su espuma consumida.
13En tu suciedad perversa padecerás: porque te limpié, y tú no te limpiaste de tu suciedad: nunca más te limpiarás, hasta que yo haga reposar mi ira sobre ti.
14Yo Jehová he hablado; vendrá, y harélo. No me tornaré atrás, ni tendré misericordia, ni me arrepentiré: según tus caminos y tus obras te juzgarán, dice el Señor Jehová.
15Y fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
16Hijo del hombre, he aquí que yo te quito de golpe el deseo de tus ojos: no endeches, ni llores, ni corran tus lágrimas.
17Reprime el suspirar, no hagas luto de mortuorios: ata tu bonete sobre ti, y pon tus zapatos en tus pies, y no te cubras con rebozo, ni comas pan de hombres.
18Y hablé al pueblo por la mañana, y á la tarde murió mi mujer: y á la mañana hice como me fué mandado.
19Y díjome el pueblo: ¿No nos enseñarás qué nos significan estas cosas que tú haces?
20Y yo les dije: Palabra de Jehová fué á mí, diciendo:
21Di á la casa de Israel: Así ha dicho el Señor Dios: He aquí yo profano mi santuario, la gloria de vuestra fortaleza, el deseo de vuestros ojos, y el regalo de vuestra alma: vuestros hijos y vuestras hijas que dejasteis, caerán á cuchillo.
22Y haréis de la manera que yo hice: no os cubriréis con rebozo, ni comeréis pan de hombres;
23Y vuestros bonetes estarán sobre vuestras cabezas, y vuestros zapatos en vuestros pies: no endecharéis ni lloraréis, sino que os consumiréis á causa de vuestras maldades, y gemiréis unos con otros.
24Ezequiel pues os será por señal; según todas las cosas que él hizo, haréis: en viniendo esto, entonces sabréis que yo soy el Señor Jehová.
25Y tú, hijo del hombre, el día que yo quitaré de ellos su fortaleza, el gozo de su gloria, el deseo de sus ojos, y el cuidado de sus almas, sus hijos y sus hijas,
26Este día vendrá á ti un escapado para traer las nuevas.
27En aquel día se abrirá tu boca para hablar con el escapado, y hablarás, y no estarás más mudo; y les serás por señal, y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.
King James Version
1Again in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
2Son of man, write thee the name of the day, even of this same day: the king of Babylon set himself against Jerusalem this same day.
3And utter a parable unto the rebellious house, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Set on a pot, set it on, and also pour water into it:
4Gather the pieces thereof into it, even every good piece, the thigh, and the shoulder; fill it with the choice bones.
5Take the choice of the flock, and burn also the bones under it, and make it boil well, and let them seethe the bones of it therein.
6Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose scum is therein, and whose scum is not gone out of it! bring it out piece by piece; let no lot fall upon it.
7For her blood is in the midst of her; she set it upon the top of a rock; she poured it not upon the ground, to cover it with dust;
8That it might cause fury to come up to take vengeance; I have set her blood upon the top of a rock, that it should not be covered.
9Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city! I will even make the pile for fire great.
10Heap on wood, kindle the fire, consume the flesh, and spice it well, and let the bones be burned.
11Then set it empty upon the coals thereof, that the brass of it may be hot, and may burn, and that the filthiness of it may be molten in it, that the scum of it may be consumed.
12She hath wearied herself with lies, and her great scum went not forth out of her: her scum shall be in the fire.
13In thy filthiness is lewdness: because I have purged thee, and thou wast not purged, thou shalt not be purged from thy filthiness any more, till I have caused my fury to rest upon thee.
14I the LORD have spoken it: it shall come to pass, and I will do it; I will not go back, neither will I spare, neither will I repent; according to thy ways, and according to thy doings, shall they judge thee, saith the Lord GOD.
15Also the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
16Son of man, behold, I take away from thee the desire of thine eyes with a stroke: yet neither shalt thou mourn nor weep, neither shall thy tears run down.
17Forbear to cry, make no mourning for the dead, bind the tire of thine head upon thee, and put on thy shoes upon thy feet, and cover not thy lips, and eat not the bread of men.
18So I spake unto the people in the morning: and at even my wife died; and I did in the morning as I was commanded.
19And the people said unto me, Wilt thou not tell us what these things are to us, that thou doest so?
20Then I answered them, The word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
21Speak unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the excellency of your strength, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pitieth; and your sons and your daughters whom ye have left shall fall by the sword.
22And ye shall do as I have done: ye shall not cover your lips, nor eat the bread of men.
23And your tires shall be upon your heads, and your shoes upon your feet: ye shall not mourn nor weep; but ye shall pine away for your iniquities, and mourn one toward another.
24Thus Ezekiel is unto you a sign: according to all that he hath done shall ye do: and when this cometh, ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.
25Also, thou son of man, shall it not be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that whereupon they set their minds, their sons and their daughters,
26That he that escapeth in that day shall come unto thee, to cause thee to hear it with thine ears?
27In that day shall thy mouth be opened to him which is escaped, and thou shalt speak, and be no more dumb: and thou shalt be a sign unto them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
World English Bible
1Again, in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
2“Son of man, write the name of the day, this same day. The king of Babylon drew close to Jerusalem this same day.
3Utter a parable to the rebellious house, and tell them, ‘The Lord GOD says, “Put the cauldron on the fire. Put it on, and also pour water into it.
4Gather its pieces into it, even every good piece: the thigh and the shoulder. Fill it with the choice bones.
5Take the choice of the flock, and also a pile of wood for the bones under the cauldron. Make it boil well. Yes, let its bones be boiled within it.”
6“‘Therefore the Lord GOD says: “Woe to the bloody city, to the cauldron whose rust is in it, and whose rust hasn’t gone out of it! Take out of it piece after piece without casting lots for it.
7“‘“For the blood she shed is in the middle of her. She set it on the bare rock. She didn’t pour it on the ground, to cover it with dust.
8That it may cause wrath to come up to take vengeance, I have set her blood on the bare rock, that it should not be covered.”
9“‘Therefore the Lord GOD says: “Woe to the bloody city! I also will make the pile great.
10Heap on the wood. Make the fire hot. Boil the meat well. Make the broth thick, and let the bones be burned.
11Then set it empty on its coals, that it may be hot, and its bronze may burn, and that its filthiness may be molten in it, that its rust may be consumed.
12She is weary with toil; yet her great rust, rust by fire, doesn’t leave her.
13“‘“In your filthiness is lewdness. Because I have cleansed you and you weren’t cleansed, you won’t be cleansed from your filthiness any more, until I have caused my wrath toward you to rest.
14“‘“I, the LORD, have spoken it. It will happen, and I will do it. I won’t go back. I won’t spare. I won’t repent. According to your ways and according to your doings, they will judge you,” says the Lord GOD.’”
15Also the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
16“Son of man, behold, I will take away from you the desire of your eyes with one stroke; yet you shall neither mourn nor weep, neither shall your tears run down.
17Sigh, but not aloud. Make no mourning for the dead. Bind your headdress on you, and put your sandals on your feet. Don’t cover your lips, and don’t eat mourner’s bread.”
18So I spoke to the people in the morning, and at evening my wife died. So I did in the morning as I was commanded.
19The people asked me, “Won’t you tell us what these things mean to us, that you act like this?”
20Then I said to them, “The LORD’s word came to me, saying,
21‘Speak to the house of Israel, “The Lord GOD says: ‘Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your power, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pities; and your sons and your daughters whom you have left behind will fall by the sword.
22You will do as I have done. You won’t cover your lips or eat mourner’s bread.
23Your turbans will be on your heads, and your sandals on your feet. You won’t mourn or weep; but you will pine away in your iniquities, and moan one toward another.
24Thus Ezekiel will be a sign to you; according to all that he has done, you will do. When this comes, then you will know that I am the Lord GOD.’”’”
25“You, son of man, shouldn’t it be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that whereupon they set their heart—their sons and their daughters—
26that in that day he who escapes will come to you, to cause you to hear it with your ears?
27In that day your mouth will be opened to him who has escaped, and you will speak and be no more mute. So you will be a sign to them. Then they will know that I am the LORD.”
