Ahora pues, ¡oh hijo de hombre!, entona una lamentación sobre Tiro:
Y tú, hijo del hombre, levanta endechas sobre Tiro.
Now, thou son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyrus;
“You, son of man, take up a lamentation over Tyre;
Dirás, pues, a Tiro situada en una entrada o puerto de mar para fondeadero de los pueblos de muchas regiones: Esto dice el Señor Dios: ¡Oh Tiro!, tú dijiste: Yo soy de una belleza extremada,
Y dirás á Tiro, que está asentada á las entradas de la mar, mercadera de los pueblos de muchas islas: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Tiro, tú has dicho: Yo soy de perfecta hermosura.
And say unto Tyrus, O thou that art situate at the entry of the sea, which art a merchant of the people for many isles, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O Tyrus, thou hast said, I am of perfect beauty.
and tell Tyre, ‘You who dwell at the entry of the sea, who are the merchant of the peoples to many islands, the Lord GOD says: “You, Tyre, have said, ‘I am perfect in beauty.’
y situada estoy en medio del mar. Tus vecinos que te edificaron te embellecieron con toda suerte de ornato;
En el corazón de las mares están tus términos: los que te edificaron completaron tu belleza.
Thy borders are in the midst of the seas, thy builders have perfected thy beauty.
Your borders are in the heart of the seas. Your builders have perfected your beauty.
te construyeron de abetos del Saniz, con todas las crujías a uso del mar; para hacer tu mástil trajeron un cedro del Líbano.
De hayas del monte Senir te fabricaron todas las tillas: tomaron cedros del Líbano para hacerte el mástil.
They have made all thy ship boards of fir trees of Senir: they have taken cedars from Lebanon to make masts for thee.
They have made all your planks of cypress trees from Senir. They have taken a cedar from Lebanon to make a mast for you.
Labraron encinas de Basán para formar tus remos; y de marfil de India hicieron tus bancos y tus magníficas cámaras de popa de materiales traídos de las costas de Chipre.
De castaños de Basán hicieron tus remos: compañía de Asirios hicieron tus bancos de marfil de las islas de Chittim.
Of the oaks of Bashan have they made thine oars; the company of the Ashurites have made thy benches of ivory, brought out of the isles of Chittim.
They have made your oars of the oaks of Bashan. They have made your benches of ivory inlaid in cypress wood from the islands of Kittim.
Para hacer la vela que pende del mástil, se tejió para ti el rico lino de Egipto con varios colores; el jacinto y la púrpura de las islas de Elisa formaron tu pabellón.
De fino lino bordado de Egipto fué tu cortina, para que te sirviese de vela; de cárdeno y grana de las islas de Elisah fué tu pabellón.
Fine linen with broidered work from Egypt was that which thou spreadest forth to be thy sail; blue and purple from the isles of Elishah was that which covered thee.
Your sail was of fine linen with embroidered work from Egypt, that it might be to you for a banner. Blue and purple from the islands of Elishah was your awning.
Los habitantes de Sidón y los de Arad fueron tus remeros; tus sabios, oh Tiro, te sirvieron de pilotos.

The inhabitants of Zidon and Arvad were thy mariners: thy wise men, O Tyrus, that were in thee, were thy pilots.
The inhabitants of Sidon and Arvad were your rowers. Your wise men, Tyre, were in you. They were your pilots.
Los ancianos de Gebal y los más peritos de ella te suministraron gentes para la maestranza, que trabajasen en el servicio de tu marina; las naves todas del mar y sus marineros estaban en tu pueblo sirviendo a tu tráfico.
Los ancianos de Gebal y sus sabios repararon tus hendiduras: todas las galeras de la mar y los remeros de ellas fueron en ti para negociar tus negocios.
The ancients of Gebal and the wise men thereof were in thee thy calkers: all the ships of the sea with their mariners were in thee to occupy thy merchandise.
The old men of Gebal and its wise men were your repairers of ship seams in you. All the ships of the sea with their mariners were in you to deal in your merchandise.
Tú tenías en tu ejército guerreros de Persia, y de Lidia, y de Libia; y en ti colgaron sus escudos y morriones, los cuales te servían de gala.
Persas y Lidios, y los de Phut, fueron en tu ejército tus hombres de guerra: escudos y capacetes colgaron en ti; ellos te dieron tu honra.

Entre tus huestes se veían coronando tus muros los hijos de Arad; y además los pigmeos o valientes que estaban sobre tus torres colgaban alrededor de tus murallas sus aljabas; ellos ponían el colmo a tu hermosura.
Y los hijos de Arvad con tu ejército estuvieron sobre tus muros alrededor, y los Gammadeos en tus torres: sus escudos colgaron sobre tus muros alrededor; ellos completaron tu hermosura.
The men of Arvad with thine army were upon thy walls round about, and the Gammadims were in thy towers: they hanged their shields upon thy walls round about; they have made thy beauty perfect.
The men of Arvad with your army were on your walls all around, and valiant men were in your towers. They hung their shields on your walls all around. They have perfected your beauty.
Los cartagineses que comerciaban contigo, henchían tus mercados con gran cantidad de toda suerte de riquezas, de plata, de hierro, de estaño y de plomo.
Tarsis tu mercadera á causa de la multitud de todas riquezas en plata, hierro, estaño, y plomo, dió en tus ferias.
Tarshish was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of all kind of riches; with silver, iron, tin, and lead, they traded in thy fairs.

La Grecia, Tubal y Mosoc también negociaban contigo, trayendo a tu pueblo esclavos y artefactos de cobre.
Grecia, Tubal, y Mesec, tus mercaderes, con hombres y con vasos de metal, dieron en tus ferias.
Javan, Tubal, and Meshech, they were thy merchants: they traded the persons of men and vessels of brass in thy market.
“‘“Javan, Tubal, and Meshech were your traders. They traded the persons of men and vessels of bronze for your merchandise.
De tierra de Togorma traían a tu mercado caballos y jinetes o picadores y mulos.

They of the house of Togarmah traded in thy fairs with horses and horsemen and mules.
“‘“They of the house of Togarmah traded for your wares with horses, war horses, and mules.
Los hijos de Dedán comerciaban contigo; tú dabas tus géneros a muchas islas o naciones; y recibías a cambio colmillos de elefante o el marfil y el ébano.
Los hijos de Dedán eran tus negociantes: muchas islas tomaban mercadería de tu mano; cuernos de marfil y pavos te dieron en presente.
The men of Dedan were thy merchants; many isles were the merchandise of thine hand: they brought thee for a present horns of ivory and ebony.
“‘“The men of Dedan traded with you. Many islands were the market of your hand. They brought you horns of ivory and ebony in exchange.
El siro traficaba contigo, y para proveerse de tus muchas manufacturas presentaba en tus mercados perlas, y púrpura, y telas bordadas, y lino fino, y sedería, y toda especie de géneros preciosos.
Siria fué tu mercadera por la multitud de tus labores: con perlas, y púrpura, y vestidos bordados, y linos finos, y corales, y rubíes, dió en tus ferias.
Syria was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of the wares of thy making: they occupied in thy fairs with emeralds, purple, and broidered work, and fine linen, and coral, and agate.
“‘“Syria was your merchant by reason of the multitude of your handiworks. They traded for your wares with emeralds, purple, embroidered work, fine linen, coral, and rubies.
Judá y la tierra de Israel negociaban contigo, llevando a tus mercados el más rico trigo, el bálsamo, la miel, el aceite y la resina.
Judá, y la tierra de Israel, eran tus mercaderes: con trigos de Minith, y pannah, y miel, y aceite, y resina, dieron en tu mercado.
Judah, and the land of Israel, they were thy merchants: they traded in thy market wheat of Minnith, and Pannag, and honey, and oil, and balm.

El mercader de Damasco contrataba contigo, y en cambio de tus muchas mercaderías te daba muchas y varias cosas ricas, excelentes vinos y lanas de extraordinaria blancura.
Damasco, tu mercadera por la multitud de tus labores, por la abundancia de todas riquezas, con vino de Helbón, y lana blanca.
Damascus was thy merchant in the multitude of the wares of thy making, for the multitude of all riches; in the wine of Helbon, and white wool.

Dan also and Javan going to and fro occupied in thy fairs: bright iron, cassia, and calamus, were in thy market.
“‘“Vedan and Javan traded with yarn for your wares; wrought iron, cassia, and calamus were among your merchandise.
Los de Dedán te vendían las alfombras para tus estrados.
Dedán fué tu mercadera con paños preciosos para carros.
Dedan was thy merchant in precious clothes for chariots.
“‘“Dedan was your merchant in precious saddle blankets for riding.
La Arabia y todos los príncipes de Cedar compraban tus mercaderías, dándote a cambio los corderos, y carneros y cabritos que te traían.
Arabia y todos los príncipes de Cedar, mercaderes de tu mano en corderos, y carneros, y machos cabríos: en estas cosas fueron tus mercaderes.
Arabia, and all the princes of Kedar, they occupied with thee in lambs, and rams, and goats: in these were they thy merchants.
“‘“Arabia and all the princes of Kedar were your favorite dealers in lambs, rams, and goats. In these, they were your merchants.
Los mercaderes de Sabá y de Reema traían a vender en tus plazas toda especie de aromas los más exquisitos, y piedras preciosas, y oro.

The merchants of Sheba and Raamah, they were thy merchants: they occupied in thy fairs with chief of all spices, and with all precious stones, and gold.
“‘“The traders of Sheba and Raamah were your traders. They traded for your wares with the best of all spices, all precious stones, and gold.
Harán, y Quene, y Edén contrataban contigo; Saba, Assur y Quelmad te vendían géneros.

Hacían ellos el comercio contigo de varias cosas, llevándote fardos de ropas de color de jacinto o carmesí, y de varias estofas y bordados, y diferentes preciosidades, te vendían también maderas de cedro.
Estos tus mercaderes negociaban contigo en varias cosas: en mantos de jacinto, y bordados, y en cajas de ropas preciosas, enlazadas con cordones, y en madera de cedro.
These were thy merchants in all sorts of things, in blue clothes, and broidered work, and in chests of rich apparel, bound with cords, and made of cedar, among thy merchandise.
These were your traders in choice wares, in wrappings of blue and embroidered work, and in cedar chests of rich clothing bound with cords, among your merchandise.
Tus naves ocupan el primer lugar en el comercio marítimo; y fuiste populosa y opulentísima en medio del mar.
Las naves de Tarsis, tus cuadrillas, fueron en tu negociación: y fuiste llena, y fuiste multiplicada en gran manera en medio de los mares.
The ships of Tarshish did sing of thee in thy market: and thou wast replenished, and made very glorious in the midst of the seas.
“‘“The ships of Tarshish were your caravans for your merchandise. You were replenished and made very glorious in the heart of the seas.
Tus remeros te condujeron por muchos mares; pero el viento del mediodía acabó contigo en medio de las aguas.
En muchas aguas te engolfaron tus remeros: viento solano te quebrantó en medio de los mares.
Thy rowers have brought thee into great waters: the east wind hath broken thee in the midst of the seas.
Your rowers have brought you into great waters. The east wind has broken you in the heart of the seas.
Tus riquezas y tesoros, y tu gran cargamento; tus marineros y tus pilotos que estaban encargados de todas tus preciosidades, y que dirigían tu gente; asimismo todos los guerreros que tenías contigo, y todo el gentío que estaba dentro de ti, todo ha sido precipitado al abismo del mar en el día de tu ruina.
Tus riquezas, y tus mercaderías, y tu negociación, tus remeros, y tus pilotos, los reparadores de tus hendiduras, y los agentes de tus negocios, y todos tus hombres de guerra que hay en ti, con toda tu compañía que en medio de ti se halla, caerán en medio de los mares el día de tu caída.
Thy riches, and thy fairs, thy merchandise, thy mariners, and thy pilots, thy calkers, and the occupiers of thy merchandise, and all thy men of war, that are in thee, and in all thy company which is in the midst of thee, shall fall into the midst of the seas in the day of thy ruin.
Your riches, your wares, your merchandise, your mariners, your pilots, your repairers of ship seams, the dealers in your merchandise, and all your men of war who are in you, with all your company which is among you, will fall into the heart of the seas in the day of your ruin.
Al estruendo de la gritería de tus pilotos quedarán llenas de terror las demás naves;
Al estrépito de las voces de tus marineros temblarán los arrabales.
The suburbs shall shake at the sound of the cry of thy pilots.
At the sound of the cry of your pilots, the pasture lands will shake.
y todos los remeros saldrán de sus naves; y saltarán a tierra los marineros y todos los pilotos;
Y descenderán de sus naves todos los que toman remo; remeros, y todos los pilotos de la mar se pararán en tierra:
And all that handle the oar, the mariners, and all the pilots of the sea, shall come down from their ships, they shall stand upon the land;
All who handle the oars, the mariners and all the pilots of the sea, will come down from their ships. They will stand on the land,
y prorrumpirán en grandes alaridos sobre ti, y en gritos de dolor, y esparcirán polvo sobre sus cabezas y se cubrirán de ceniza,
Y harán oir su voz sobre ti, y gritarán amargamente, y echarán polvo sobre sus cabezas, y se revolcarán en la ceniza.
And shall cause their voice to be heard against thee, and shall cry bitterly, and shall cast up dust upon their heads, they shall wallow themselves in the ashes:
and will cause their voice to be heard over you, and will cry bitterly. They will cast up dust on their heads. They will wallow in the ashes.
y se raparán por tu causa sus cabezas, y se vestirán de cilicio, y te llorarán en la angustia de su corazón con lágrimas amarguísimas.
Y haránse por ti calva, y se ceñirán de sacos, y endecharán por ti endechas amargas, con amargura de alma.
And they shall make themselves utterly bald for thee, and gird them with sackcloth, and they shall weep for thee with bitterness of heart and bitter wailing.
They will make themselves bald for you, and clothe themselves with sackcloth. They will weep for you in bitterness of soul, with bitter mourning.
Y entonarán sobre ti lúgubres cantares, y te plañirán, diciendo: ¿Qué ciudad ha habido como Tiro, que haya sido como ella destruida en medio del mar?
Y levantarán sobre ti endechas en sus lamentaciones, y endecharán sobre ti diciendo: ¿Quién como Tiro, como la destruída en medio de la mar?
And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and lament over thee, saying, What city is like Tyrus, like the destroyed in the midst of the sea?
In their wailing they will take up a lamentation for you, and lament over you, saying, ‘Who is there like Tyre, like her who is brought to silence in the middle of the sea?’
Tú con tu comercio marítimo enriqueciste a muchas naciones; con la abundancia de las riquezas tuyas y de tu gente hiciste ricos a los reyes de la tierra:
Cuando tus mercaderías salían de las naves, hartabas muchos pueblos: los reyes de la tierra enriqueciste con la multitud de tus riquezas y de tus contrataciones.
When thy wares went forth out of the seas, thou filledst many people; thou didst enrich the kings of the earth with the multitude of thy riches and of thy merchandise.
When your wares came from the seas, you filled many peoples. You enriched the kings of the earth with the multitude of your riches and of your merchandise.
ahora has sido destrozada en medio del mar, tus riquezas han caído al fondo de las aguas, y ha perecido todo el gentío que había en ti.
En el tiempo que serás quebrantada de los mares en los profundos de las aguas, tu comercio y toda tu compañía caerán en medio de ti.
In the time when thou shalt be broken by the seas in the depths of the waters thy merchandise and all thy company in the midst of thee shall fall.
In the time that you were broken by the seas, in the depths of the waters, your merchandise and all your company fell within you.
Se pasmaron con tu ruina todos los habitantes de las islas o regiones, y se demudaron los semblantes de sus reyes, atónitos de tal tempestad.
Todos los moradores de las islas se maravillarán sobre ti, y sus reyes temblarán de espanto: inmutaránse en sus rostros.
All the inhabitants of the isles shall be astonished at thee, and their kings shall be sore afraid, they shall be troubled in their countenance.
All the inhabitants of the islands are astonished at you, and their kings are horribly afraid. They are troubled in their face.
Los comerciantes de los pueblos silbaron, haciendo mofa de ti, a la nada has sido reducida tú, y nunca jamás volverás a existir.
Los mercaderes en los pueblos silbarán sobre ti: vendrás á ser espanto, y dejarás de ser para siempre.
The merchants among the people shall hiss at thee; thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt be any more.
The merchants among the peoples hiss at you. You have come to a terrible end, and you will be no more.”’”
