1Und das Wort Jehovas geschah zu mir also:
2Menschensohn, weissage und sprich: So spricht der Herr, Jehova:
3Heulet! Wehe der Tag! Denn nahe ist der Tag; ja, der Tag Jehovas ist nahe, ein Tag des Gewölks: Die Zeit der Nationen wird er sein.
4Und das Schwert wird über Ägypten kommen; und im Lande Äthiopien wird große Angst sein, wenn Erschlagene in Ägypten fallen und man seinen Reichtum wegnimmt, und seine Grundfesten niedergerissen werden.
5Äthiopien und Put und Lud und alles Mischvolk und Kub und die Kinder des Bundeslandes werden mit ihnen durchs Schwert fallen. -
6So spricht Jehova: Ja, die, welche Ägypten stützen, werden fallen, und hinsinken wird der Stolz seiner Kraft; von Migdol bis nach Syene werden sie darin durchs Schwert fallen, spricht der Herr, Jehova.
7Und sie werden verwüstet liegen inmitten verwüsteter Länder, und seine Städte werden inmitten verödeter Städte sein.
8Und sie werden wissen, daß ich Jehova bin, wenn ich Feuer anlege in Ägypten und alle seine Helfer zerschmettert werden.
9An jenem Tage werden Boten von mir in Schiffen ausfahren, um das sichere Äthiopien zu erschrecken; und große Angst wird unter ihnen sein am Tage Ägyptens; denn siehe, es kommt! -
10So spricht der Herr, Jehova: Ja, ich werde dem Getümmel Ägyptens ein Ende machen durch die Hand Nebukadrezars, des Königs von Babel.
11Er und sein Volk mit ihm, die Gewalttätigsten der Nationen, werden herbeigeführt werden, um das Land zu verderben; und sie werden ihre Schwerter ziehen wider Ägypten und das Land mit Erschlagenen füllen.
12Und ich werde die Ströme trocken legen, und das Land in die Hand von Bösewichtern verkaufen, und das Land und seine Fülle durch die Hand Fremder verwüsten. Ich, Jehova, habe geredet. -
13So spricht der Herr, Jehova: Ja, ich werde die Götzen vertilgen und die Götzen aus Noph wegschaffen, und kein Fürst aus dem Lande Ägypten soll mehr sein; und ich werde Furcht bringen in das Land Ägypten.
14Und ich werde Pathros verwüsten, und Feuer anlegen in Zoan, und Gerichte üben an No.
15Und ich werde meinen Grimm ausgießen über Sin, die Feste Ägyptens; und die Menge von No werde ich ausrotten.
16Und ich werde Feuer anlegen in Ägypten; Sin wird beben vor Angst, und No wird erbrochen werden, und Noph Feinde bei Tage!
17Die Jünglinge von Awen und Pi-Beseth werden durch das Schwert fallen, und sie selbst werden in die Gefangenschaft ziehen.
18Und zu Tachpanches wird der Tag sich verfinstern, wenn ich daselbst die Joche Ägyptens zerbreche, und der Stolz seiner Kraft darin ein Ende nimmt; Gewölk wird es bedecken, und seine Tochterstädte werden in die Gefangenschaft ziehen.
19Und so werde ich Gerichte üben an Ägypten; und sie werden wissen, daß ich Jehova bin.
20Und es geschah im elften Jahre, im ersten Monat, am Siebten des Monats, da geschah das Wort Jehovas zu mir also:
21Menschensohn, den Arm des Pharao, des Königs von Ägypten, habe ich zerbrochen; und siehe, er ist nicht verbunden worden, daß man Heilmittel angewandt, daß man einen Verband angelegt hätte, ihn zu verbinden, um ihn zu stärken, damit er das Schwert fasse. -
22Darum spricht der Herr, Jehova, also: Siehe, ich will an den Pharao, den König von Ägypten, und werde seine beiden Arme zerbrechen, den starken und den zerbrochenen, und werde das Schwert seiner Hand entfallen lassen.
23Und ich werde die Ägypter unter die Nationen versprengen und sie in die Länder zerstreuen.
24Und ich werde die Arme des Königs von Babel stärken und mein Schwert in seine Hand geben; und die Arme des Pharao werde ich zerbrechen, daß er wie ein Erschlagener vor ihm ächzen wird.
25Und ich werde die Arme des Königs von Babel stärken, aber die Arme des Pharao werden sinken. Und sie werden wissen, daß ich Jehova bin, wenn ich mein Schwert in die Hand des Königs von Babel gebe, und er es recken wird gegen das Land Ägypten.
26Und ich werde die Ägypter unter die Nationen versprengen und sie in die Länder zerstreuen; und sie werden wissen, daß ich Jehova bin.

1Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
2Hijo del hombre, profetiza, y di: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Aullad: ¡Ay del día!
3Porque cerca está el día, cerca está el día del Señor; día de nublado, día de las gentes será.
4Y vendrá espada á Egipto, y habrá miedo en Etiopía, cuando caerán heridos en Egipto; y tomarán su multitud, y serán destruídos sus fundamentos.
5Etiopía, y Libia, y Lidia, y todo el conjunto de pueblo, y Chûb, y los hijos de la tierra de la liga, caerán con ellos á cuchillo.
6Así ha dicho Jehová: También caerán los que sostienen á Egipto, y la altivez de su fortaleza caerá: desde Migdol hasta Seveneh caerán en él á cuchillo, dice el Señor Jehová.
7Y serán asolados entre las tierras asoladas, y sus ciudades serán entre las ciudades desiertas.
8Y sabrán que yo soy Jehová, cuando pusiere fuego á Egipto, y fueren quebrantados todos sus ayudadores.
9En aquel tiempo saldrán mensajeros de delante de mí en navíos, á espantar á Etiopía la confiada, y tendrán espanto como en el día de Egipto: porque he aquí viene.
10Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Haré cesar la multitud de Egipto por mano de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia.
11El, y con él su pueblo, los más fuertes de las gentes, serán traídos á destruir la tierra: y desenvainarán sus espadas sobre Egipto, y henchirán la tierra de muertos.
12Y secaré los ríos, y entregaré la tierra en manos de malos, y destruiré la tierra y su plenitud por mano de extranjeros: yo Jehová he hablado.
13Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Destruiré también las imágenes, y haré cesar los ídolos de Memphis; y no habrá más príncipe de la tierra de Egipto, y en la tierra de Egipto pondré temor.
14Y asolaré á Patros, y pondré fuego á Zoán, y haré juicios en No.
15Y derramaré mi ira sobre Sin, fortaleza de Egipto, y talaré la multitud de No.
16Y pondré fuego á Egipto; Sin tendrá gran dolor, y No será destrozada, y Memphis tendrá continuas angustias.
17Los mancebos de Avén y de Pibeseth caerán á cuchillo; y ellas irán en cautiverio.
18Y en Tehaphnes será cerrado el día, cuando quebrantaré yo allí las barras de Egipto, y cesará en ella la soberbia de su fortaleza: nublado la cubrirá, y los moradores de sus aldeas irán en cautiverio.
19Haré pues juicios en Egipto y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.
20Y aconteció en el año undécimo, en el mes primero, á los siete del mes, que fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
21Hijo del hombre, quebrantado he el brazo de Faraón rey de Egipto; y he aquí que no ha sido vendado poniéndole medicinas, poniéndole faja para ligarlo, á fin de vigorizarle para que pueda tener espada.
22Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Heme aquí contra Faraón rey de Egipto, y quebraré sus brazos, el fuerte y el fracturado, y haré que la espada se le caiga de la mano.
23Y esparciré los Egipcios entre las gentes, y aventarélos por las tierras.
24Y fortificaré los brazos del rey de Babilonia, y pondré mi espada en su mano; mas quebraré los brazos de Faraón, y delante de aquél gemirá con gemidos de herido de muerte.
25Fortificaré pues los brazos del rey de Babilonia, y los brazos de Faraón caerán; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová, cuando yo pusiere mi espada en la mano del rey de Babilonia, y él la extendiere sobre la tierra de Egipto.
26Y esparciré los Egipcios entre las gentes, y los aventaré por las tierras; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.

1The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
2Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Howl ye, Woe worth the day!
3For the day is near, even the day of the LORD is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen.
4And the sword shall come upon Egypt, and great pain shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down.
5Ethiopia, and Libya, and Lydia, and all the mingled people, and Chub, and the men of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword.
6Thus saith the LORD; They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Syene shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord GOD.
7And they shall be desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted.
8And they shall know that I am the LORD, when I have set a fire in Egypt, and when all her helpers shall be destroyed.
9In that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians afraid, and great pain shall come upon them, as in the day of Egypt: for, lo, it cometh.
10Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon.
11He and his people with him, the terrible of the nations, shall be brought to destroy the land: and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and fill the land with the slain.
12And I will make the rivers dry, and sell the land into the hand of the wicked: and I will make the land waste, and all that is therein, by the hand of strangers: I the LORD have spoken it.
13Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause their images to cease out of Noph; and there shall be no more a prince of the land of Egypt: and I will put a fear in the land of Egypt.
14And I will make Pathros desolate, and will set fire in Zoan, and will execute judgments in No.
15And I will pour my fury upon Sin, the strength of Egypt; and I will cut off the multitude of No.
16And I will set fire in Egypt: Sin shall have great pain, and No shall be rent asunder, and Noph shall have distresses daily.
17The young men of Aven and of Pi-beseth shall fall by the sword: and these cities shall go into captivity.
18At Tehaphnehes also the day shall be darkened, when I shall break there the yokes of Egypt: and the pomp of her strength shall cease in her: as for her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.
19Thus will I execute judgments in Egypt: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
20And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first month, in the seventh day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
21Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and, lo, it shall not be bound up to be healed, to put a roller to bind it, to make it strong to hold the sword.
22Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong, and that which was broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.
23And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.
24And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand: but I will break Pharaoh’s arms, and he shall groan before him with the groanings of a deadly wounded man.
25But I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it out upon the land of Egypt.
26And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them among the countries; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
World English Bible
1The LORD’s word came again to me, saying,
2“Son of man, prophesy, and say, ‘The Lord GOD says: “Wail, ‘Alas for the day!’
3For the day is near, even the LORD’s day is near. It will be a day of clouds, a time of the nations.
4A sword will come on Egypt, and anguish will be in Ethiopia, when the slain fall in Egypt. They take away her multitude, and her foundations are broken down.
5“‘“Ethiopia, Put, Lud, all the mixed people, Cub, and the children of the land that is allied with them, will fall with them by the sword.”
6“‘The LORD says: “They also who uphold Egypt will fall. The pride of her power will come down. They will fall by the sword in it from the tower of Seveneh,” says the Lord GOD.
7“They will be desolate in the middle of the countries that are desolate. Her cities will be among the cities that are wasted.
8They will know that I am the LORD when I have set a fire in Egypt, and all her helpers are destroyed.
9“‘“In that day messengers will go out from before me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians afraid. There will be anguish on them, as in the day of Egypt; for, behold, it comes.”

17The young men of Aven and of Pibeseth will fall by the sword. They will go into captivity.
18At Tehaphnehes also the day will withdraw itself, when I break the yokes of Egypt there. The pride of her power will cease in her. As for her, a cloud will cover her, and her daughters will go into captivity.
19Thus I will execute judgments on Egypt. Then they will know that I am the LORD.”’”
20In the eleventh year, in the first month, in the seventh day of the month, the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
21“Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Behold, it has not been bound up, to apply medicines, to put a bandage to bind it, that it may become strong to hold the sword.
22Therefore the Lord GOD says: ‘Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong arm, and that which was broken. I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.
23I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.
24I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand; but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan before the king of Babylon with the groaning of a mortally wounded man.
25I will hold up the arms of the king of Babylon, but the arms of Pharaoh will fall down. Then they will know that I am the LORD when I put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he stretches it out on the land of Egypt.
26I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations and disperse them through the countries. Then they will know that I am the LORD.’”
