Me habló nuevamente el Señor, diciendo:
Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

Hijo de hombre, profetiza, y di: Esto dice el Señor Dios: ¡Oh egipcios!, prorrumpid en aullidos: ¡Ay, ay de aquel día!

Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Howl ye, Woe worth the day!
“Son of man, prophesy, and say, ‘The Lord GOD says: “Wail, ‘Alas for the day!’
Porque cercano está el día, llega ya el día del Señor; día de tinieblas, que será la hora del castigo de las naciones.
Porque cerca está el día, cerca está el día del Señor; día de nublado, día de las gentes será.
For the day is near, even the day of the LORD is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen.
For the day is near, even the LORD’s day is near. It will be a day of clouds, a time of the nations.
Y la espada enemiga descargará contra Egipto; y Etiopía quedará aterrorizada, cuando los egipcios caigan heridos al filo de la espada, y el pueblo sea llevado cautivo, y sean destruidos sus cimientos.
Y vendrá espada á Egipto, y habrá miedo en Etiopía, cuando caerán heridos en Egipto; y tomarán su multitud, y serán destruídos sus fundamentos.
And the sword shall come upon Egypt, and great pain shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down.

Etiopía, y Libia, y los lidios, y todos los demás pueblos, y Cub, y los hijos de la tierra de mi alianza perecerán con ellos al filo de la espada.

Ethiopia, and Libya, and Lydia, and all the mingled people, and Chub, and the men of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword.
“‘“Ethiopia, Put, Lud, all the mixed people, Cub, and the children of the land that is allied with them, will fall with them by the sword.”
Esto dice el Señor Dios: Caerán por tierra los que sostienen a Egipto, y quedará destruido su soberbio imperio; comenzando desde la torre de Siene, pasados serán a cuchillo los egipcios, dice el Señor Dios de los ejércitos.
Así ha dicho Jehová: También caerán los que sostienen á Egipto, y la altivez de su fortaleza caerá: desde Migdol hasta Seveneh caerán en él á cuchillo, dice el Señor Jehová.
Thus saith the LORD; They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Syene shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord GOD.
“‘The LORD says: “They also who uphold Egypt will fall. The pride of her power will come down. They will fall by the sword in it from the tower of Seveneh,” says the Lord GOD.
Y aquellas regiones serán asoladas, quedando como otras tierras desiertas; y sus ciudades serán del número de las ciudades devastadas.

And they shall be desolate in the midst of the countries that are desolate, and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities that are wasted.

Y conocerán que yo soy el Señor, cuando haya pegado fuego a Egipto, y sean derrotadas todas sus tropas auxiliares.
Y sabrán que yo soy Jehová, cuando pusiere fuego á Egipto, y fueren quebrantados todos sus ayudadores.
And they shall know that I am the LORD, when I have set a fire in Egypt, and when all her helpers shall be destroyed.

En aquel día partirán en naves mensajeros despachados por mí, para abatir la arrogancia de Etiopía; la cual se llenará de terror en el día del castigo de Egipto, día que llegará sin falta.
En aquel tiempo saldrán mensajeros de delante de mí en navíos, á espantar á Etiopía la confiada, y tendrán espanto como en el día de Egipto: porque he aquí viene.
In that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians afraid, and great pain shall come upon them, as in the day of Egypt: for, lo, it cometh.

Esto dice el Señor Dios: Yo destruiré el numeroso gentío de Egipto por medio de Nabuconodosor, rey de Babilonia;
Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Haré cesar la multitud de Egipto por mano de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia.
Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon.
“‘The Lord GOD says: “I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease, by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.
él y su pueblo, el más fuerte entre las naciones, serán llevados a asolar la tierra; desenvainarán sus espadas contra Egipto, y cubrirán la tierra de cadáveres.
El, y con él su pueblo, los más fuertes de las gentes, serán traídos á destruir la tierra: y desenvainarán sus espadas sobre Egipto, y henchirán la tierra de muertos.

Y secaré las madres de los ríos, y entregaré el país a hombres feroces, y lo aniquilaré por medio de extranjeros, yo el Señor soy quien lo digo.

Esto dice el Señor Dios: Yo destruiré los simulacros, y acabaré con los ídolos de Memfis, y no habrá más rey propio en la tierra de Egipto, y enviaré el terror sobre ella,
Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Destruiré también las imágenes, y haré cesar los ídolos de Memphis; y no habrá más príncipe de la tierra de Egipto, y en la tierra de Egipto pondré temor.

And I will pour my fury upon Sin, the strength of Egypt; and I will cut off the multitude of No.

y entregaré a Egipto a las llamas. Como la mujer que está de parto, sentirá dolores Pelusio; y Alejandría será asolada; y Memfis estará en continua congoja.
Y pondré fuego á Egipto; Sin tendrá gran dolor, y No será destrozada, y Memphis tendrá continuas angustias.
And I will set fire in Egypt: Sin shall have great pain, and No shall be rent asunder, and Noph shall have distresses daily.

Y en Tafnis el día se convertirá en noche, cuando haga yo allí pedazos los cetros de Egipto, y se acabará la arrogancia de su poder; la cubrirá un negro torbellino de males, y sus hijas serán llevadas al cautiverio.
Y en Tehaphnes será cerrado el día, cuando quebrantaré yo allí las barras de Egipto, y cesará en ella la soberbia de su fortaleza: nublado la cubrirá, y los moradores de sus aldeas irán en cautiverio.
At Tehaphnehes also the day shall be darkened, when I shall break there the yokes of Egypt: and the pomp of her strength shall cease in her: as for her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.

Y en el año undécimo, en el mes primero, a los siete días del mes, me habló el Señor, diciendo:

And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first month, in the seventh day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Hijo de hombre: Yo he roto el brazo del faraón, rey de Egipto, y he aquí que no ha sido vendado para restablecerlo en su primer estado, ni envuelto con paños, ni fajado con vendas, a fin de que, recobrando el vigor, pueda manejar la espada.
Hijo del hombre, quebrantado he el brazo de Faraón rey de Egipto; y he aquí que no ha sido vendado poniéndole medicinas, poniéndole faja para ligarlo, á fin de vigorizarle para que pueda tener espada.
Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and, lo, it shall not be bound up to be healed, to put a roller to bind it, to make it strong to hold the sword.
“Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Behold, it has not been bound up, to apply medicines, to put a bandage to bind it, that it may become strong to hold the sword.
Por tanto esto dice el Señor Dios: Heme aquí contra el faraón, rey de Egipto, y desmenuzaré su brazo que era robusto pero está ya quebrado; y haré caer de su mano la espada,
Por tanto, así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Heme aquí contra Faraón rey de Egipto, y quebraré sus brazos, el fuerte y el fracturado, y haré que la espada se le caiga de la mano.
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong, and that which was broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.

But I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it out upon the land of Egypt.
