En el año undécimo, en el mes tercero, el día primero del mes, me habló el Señor, y dijo:
Y ACONTECIÓ en el año undécimo, en el mes tercero, al primero del mes, que fué á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the third month, in the first day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Hijo de hombre, di al faraón, rey de Egipto y a su pueblo: ¿A quién te has comparado en tu grandeza?

Son of man, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, and to his multitude; Whom art thou like in thy greatness?
“Son of man, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt and his multitude: ‘Whom are you like in your greatness?
Depón ese orgullo; mira a Asur, que cual cedro sobre el Líbano, de hermosos ramos y frondosas hojas, y de sublime altura, elevaba su copa en medio de sus densas ramas.
He aquí era el Asirio cedro en el Líbano, hermoso en ramas, y umbroso con sus ramos, y de grande altura, y su copa estaba entre densas ramas.
Behold, the Assyrian was a cedar in Lebanon with fair branches, and with a shadowing shroud, and of an high stature; and his top was among the thick boughs.

Le nutrieron las aguas, y un abismo o mar inmenso lo encumbró; sus ríos corrían alrededor de sus raíces, y él hacía pasar sus arroyos por todos los árboles de aquella región.
Las aguas lo hicieron crecer, encumbrólo el abismo: sus ríos iban alrededor de su pie, y á todos los árboles del campo enviaba sus corrientes.
The waters made him great, the deep set him up on high with her rivers running round about his plants, and sent out her little rivers unto all the trees of the field.
The waters nourished it. The deep made it to grow. Its rivers ran all around its plantation. It sent out its channels to all the trees of the field.
Por eso superó en altura todos los árboles del país, y se multiplicaron sus arboledas, y se dilataron merced a la abundancia de las aguas.
Por tanto, se encumbró su altura sobre todos los árboles del campo, y multiplicáronse sus ramos, y á causa de las muchas aguas se alargaron sus ramas que había echado.
Therefore his height was exalted above all the trees of the field, and his boughs were multiplied, and his branches became long because of the multitude of waters, when he shot forth.

Y como él arrojaba una gran sombra, anidaron bajo de sus ramas todas las aves del cielo, y criaron debajo de su frondosidad todas las bestias de los bosques, y a su sombra se acogía un inmenso gentío.
En sus ramas hacían nido todas las aves del cielo, y debajo de su ramaje parían todas las bestias del campo, y á su sombra habitaban muchas gentes.
All the fowls of heaven made their nests in his boughs, and under his branches did all the beasts of the field bring forth their young, and under his shadow dwelt all great nations.
All the birds of the sky made their nests in its boughs. Under its branches, all the animals of the field gave birth to their young. All great nations lived under its shadow.
Y era un árbol hermosísimo por su elevación y por la extensión de sus ramas; porque sus raíces se hallaban cerca de abundantes aguas.
Hízose, pues, hermoso en su grandeza con la extensión de sus ramas; porque su raíz estaba junto á muchas aguas.
Thus was he fair in his greatness, in the length of his branches: for his root was by great waters.

En el paraíso de Dios no hubo cedros más empinados que él; no igualaron los abetos su copa; ni los plátanos emparejaron con sus ramas; no hubo en el paraíso de Dios un árbol semejante a él, ni de tanta hermosura.
Los cedros no lo cubrieron en el huerto de Dios: las hayas no fueron semejantes á sus ramas, ni los castaños fueron semejantes á sus ramos: ningún árbol en el huerto de Dios fué semejante á él en su hermosura.
The cedars in the garden of God could not hide him: the fir trees were not like his boughs, and the chesnut trees were not like his branches; nor any tree in the garden of God was like unto him in his beauty.
The cedars in the garden of God could not hide it. The cypress trees were not like its branches. The pine trees were not like its branches; nor was any tree in the garden of God like it in its beauty.
Y porque yo lo hice tan hermoso, y de tantas y tan frondosas ramas, tuvieron envidia de él todos los árboles deliciosos que había en el paraíso de Dios.
Hícelo hermoso con la multitud de sus ramas; y todos los árboles de Edén, que estaban en el huerto de Dios, tuvieron de él envidia.

Por lo cual esto dice el Señor Dios: Porque él se ha encumbrado, y ostentado su verde y frondosa copa, y su corazón se ha ensoberbecido viéndose tan alto,
Por tanto, así dijo el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto te encumbraste en altura, y puso su cumbre entre densas ramas, y su corazón se elevó con su altura,
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast lifted up thyself in height, and he hath shot up his top among the thick boughs, and his heart is lifted up in his height;
“Therefore thus said the Lord GOD: ‘Because he is exalted in stature, and he has set his top among the thick branches, and his heart is lifted up in his height,
yo lo he entregado en poder del más fuerte de entre los pueblos, el cual hará de él lo que quiera; yo lo he desechado, según merecía su impiedad.
Yo lo entregaré en mano del fuerte de las gentes, que de cierto le manejará: por su impiedad lo he arrojado.
I have therefore delivered him into the hand of the mighty one of the heathen; he shall surely deal with him: I have driven him out for his wickedness.

Y unas gentes extrañas, y de las más feroces entre las naciones, lo troncharán y lo arrojarán sobre los montes, y sus ramas caerán por todos los valles, y quedarán cortados sus arbustos en todas las rocas de la tierra; y todos los pueblos de la tierra se retirarán de su sombra, y lo abandonarán.
Y le cortarán extraños, los fuertes de las gentes, y lo abandonarán: sus ramas caerán sobre los montes y por todos los valles, y por todas las arroyadas de la tierra serán quebrados sus ramos; é iránse de su sombra todos los pueblos de la tierra, y lo dejarán.
And strangers, the terrible of the nations, have cut him off, and have left him: upon the mountains and in all the valleys his branches are fallen, and his boughs are broken by all the rivers of the land; and all the people of the earth are gone down from his shadow, and have left him.
Foreigners, the tyrants of the nations, have cut him off and have left him. His branches have fallen on the mountains and in all the valleys, and his boughs are broken by all the watercourses of the land. All the peoples of the earth have gone down from his shadow and have left him.
Sobre sus ruinas posarán todas las aves del cielo, y sobre sus ramas estarán todas las bestias del país.
Sobre su ruina habitarán todas las aves del cielo, y sobre su ramas estarán todas las bestias del campo:
Upon his ruin shall all the fowls of the heaven remain, and all the beasts of the field shall be upon his branches:
All the birds of the sky will dwell on his ruin, and all the animals of the field will be on his branches,
Por esta causa ninguno de los árboles plantados junto a la corriente de las aguas se engreirá en su grandeza, ni elevará su copa entre las espesas arboledas, ni se fiarán en su grandeza todos estos árboles de regadío; porque todos han sido entregados en poder de la muerte, cayeron en la profunda fosa, como los demás hijos de los hombres que descienden al sepulcro.
Para que no se eleven en su altura los árboles todos de las aguas, ni levanten su cumbre entre las espesuras, ni en sus ramas se paren por su altura todos los que beben aguas: porque todos serán entregados á muerte, á la tierra baja, en medio de los hijos de los hombres, con los que descienden á la huesa.
To the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves for their height, neither shoot up their top among the thick boughs, neither their trees stand up in their height, all that drink water: for they are all delivered unto death, to the nether parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men, with them that go down to the pit.

Esto dice el Señor Dios: En el día en que él descendió a los infiernos o al sepulcro, causé yo un duelo grande, lo sumergí en el abismo, y vedé a sus ríos que lo regasen, y detuve las abundantes aguas. El Líbano se entristeció por causa de él, y se estremecieron todos los árboles del campo.
Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: El día que descendió á la sepultura, hice hacer luto, hice cubrir por él el abismo, y detuve sus ríos, y las muchas aguas fueron detenidas: y al Líbano cubrí de tinieblas por él, y todos los árboles del campo se desmayaron.
Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day when he went down to the grave I caused a mourning: I covered the deep for him, and I restrained the floods thereof, and the great waters were stayed: and I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him.
“The Lord GOD says: ‘In the day when he went down to Sheol, I caused a mourning. I covered the deep for him, and I restrained its rivers. The great waters were stopped. I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him.
Con el estruendo de su ruina hice estremecer las naciones, así que yo lo vi caer en el infierno con los demás que bajan al sepulcro; y se consolaron allá en lo profundo de la tierra todos los príncipes o árboles del jardín de delicias, insignes y famosos en el Líbano, todos los que eran regados de las aguas.
Del estruendo de su caída hice temblar las gentes, cuando les hice descender á la fosa con todos los que descienden á la sepultura; y todos los árboles de Edén escogidos, y los mejores del Líbano, todos los que beben aguas, tomaron consolación en la tierra baja.
I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to hell with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth.

Porque ellos descendieron también con él al infierno con los que perecieron al filo de la espada; los cuales siendo como el brazo del rey estaban bajo su sombra entre las naciones.
También ellos descendieron con él á la fosa, con los muertos á cuchillo, los que fueron su brazo, los que estuvieron á su sombra en medio de las gentes.
They also went down into hell with him unto them that be slain with the sword; and they that were his arm, that dwelt under his shadow in the midst of the heathen.
They also went down into Sheol with him to those who are slain by the sword; yes, those who were his arm, who lived under his shadow in the middle of the nations.
¿A quién te has hecho semejante, oh faraón, oh árbol ilustre y sublime entre los árboles del jardín de delicias? He aquí que con los árboles del jardín de delicias has sido precipitado al profundo de la tierra; en medio de los incircuncisos, dormirás tú con aquellos que fueron pasados a cuchillo. Así sucederá al faraón y a toda su gente, dice el Señor Dios.
¿A quién te has comparado así en gloria y en grandeza entre los árboles de Edén? Pues derribado serás con los árboles de Edén en la tierra baja: entre los incircuncisos yacerás, con los muertos á cuchillo. Este es Faraón y todo su pueblo, dice el Señor Jehová.
To whom art thou thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? yet shalt thou be brought down with the trees of Eden unto the nether parts of the earth: thou shalt lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword. This is Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord GOD.
“‘To whom are you thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? Yet you will be brought down with the trees of Eden to the lower parts of the earth. You will lie in the middle of the uncircumcised, with those who are slain by the sword. “‘This is Pharaoh and all his multitude,’ says the Lord GOD.”
