O Senhor voltou a falar comigo e me disse:
Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Moreover the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
“Filho do homem, vire-se em direção à terra de Edom, ao monte Seir, profetize contra ele
Hijo del hombre, pon tu rostro hacia el monte de Seir, y profetiza contra él,
Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,
“Son of man, set your face against Mount Seir, and prophesy against it,
e diga: Assim diz o Soberano, o Senhor: Eu sou seu inimigo e castigarei seu país com o meu grande poder, monte Seir. Estenderei o meu braço contra você e farei de você um deserto sem moradores.
Y dile: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: He aquí yo contra ti, oh monte de Seir, y extenderé mi mano contra ti, y te pondré en asolamiento y en soledad.
And say unto it, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O mount Seir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate.
and tell it, ‘The Lord GOD says: “Behold, I am against you, Mount Seir, and I will stretch out my hand against you. I will make you a desolation and an astonishment.
Deixarei suas cidades em ruínas, deixarei sua terra arrasada, e assim você saberá que eu sou o Senhor.
A tus ciudades asolaré, y tú serás asolado; y sabrás que yo soy Jehová.
I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.
I will lay your cities waste, and you will be desolate. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
“E sabe qual é a causa desse terrível castigo? O seu ódio constante pelo povo de Israel! O seu ataque cruel ao meu povo quando Judá foi castigado por mim!
Por cuanto tuviste enemistades perpetuas, y esparciste los hijos de Israel á poder de espada en el tiempo de su aflicción, en el tiempo extremadamente malo;
Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end:
“‘“Because you have had a perpetual hostility, and have given over the children of Israel to the power of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time of the iniquity of the end,
Por isso, juro pela minha vida, palavra do Soberano, o Senhor: Já que vocês gostam tanto de derramar sangue, vou derramar o seu sangue! O seu sangue será derramado em todos os lugares para onde vocês forem!
Por tanto, vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, que á sangre te diputaré, y sangre te perseguirá: y pues la sangre no aborreciste, sangre te perseguirá.
Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee.
therefore, as I live,” says the Lord GOD, “I will prepare you for blood, and blood will pursue you. Since you have not hated blood, therefore blood will pursue you.
Transformarei o monte Seir num lugar vazio e deserto. Matarei todos os que passarem por lá.
Y pondré al monte de Seir en asolamiento y en soledad, y cortaré de él pasante y volviente.
Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth.
Thus I will make Mount Seir an astonishment and a desolation. I will cut off from it him who passes through and him who returns.
Cobrirei os seus montes com gente morta; por toda parte, nas colinas, nos vales e nos riachos haverá corpos de gente morta violentamente na guerra.
Y henchiré sus montes de sus muertos: en tus collados, y en tus valles, y en todos tus arroyos, caerán ellos muertos á cuchillo.
And I will fill his mountains with his slain men: in thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy rivers, shall they fall that are slain with the sword.
I will fill its mountains with its slain. The slain with the sword will fall in your hills and in your valleys and in all your watercourses.
Você será um deserto para sempre! Suas cidades nunca mais serão habitadas! Assim vocês saberão que eu sou o Senhor.
Yo te pondré en asolamientos perpetuos, y tus ciudades nunca más se restaurarán; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.
I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not return: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
I will make you a perpetual desolation, and your cities will not be inhabited. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
“Você pensou consigo mesmo: ‘Agora Israel e Judá serão minhas nações; vamos nos apossar deles. E que diferença faz se o Senhor vive ali?’
Por cuanto dijiste: Las dos naciones y las dos tierras serán mías, y las poseeremos, estando allí Jehová;
Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the LORD was there:
“‘“Because you have said, ‘These two nations and these two countries will be mine, and we will possess it,’ although the LORD was there,
Por isso, juro pela minha vida, palavra do Soberano, o Senhor, que darei a você o castigo merecido pelo seu ódio, pela sua inveja, pelas maldades que você fez a Israel. Eles me conhecerão melhor quando virem o castigo que dei a você.
Por tanto, vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, yo haré conforme á tu ira, y conforme á tu celo con que procediste, á causa de tus enemistades con ellos: y seré conocido en ellos, cuando te juzgaré.
Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will even do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged thee.
therefore, as I live,” says the Lord GOD, “I will do according to your anger, and according to your envy which you have shown out of your hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them when I judge you.
Então você vai saber que eu, o Senhor, ouvi muito bem as ofensas que fez quando disse: ‘A terra de Israel já foi destruída. Eles foram entregues para que os devoremos’.
Y sabrás que yo Jehová he oído todas tus injurias que proferiste contra los montes de Israel, diciendo: Destruídos son, nos son dados á devorar.
And thou shalt know that I am the LORD, and that I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume.
You will know that I, the LORD, have heard all your insults which you have spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, ‘They have been laid desolate. They have been given to us to devour.’
Quando você disse essas palavras, estava querendo ser maior do que eu, o Senhor. Eu ouvi muito bem o que você disse!
Y os engrandecisteis contra mí con vuestra boca, y multiplicasteis contra mí vuestras palabras. Yo lo oí.
Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard them.
You have magnified yourselves against me with your mouth, and have multiplied your words against me. I have heard it.”
“Por isso, diz o Soberano, o Senhor: A terra inteira vai se alegrar quando eu destruir seu país.
Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Alegrándose toda la tierra, yo te haré soledad.
Thus saith the Lord GOD; When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate.
The Lord GOD says: “When the whole earth rejoices, I will make you desolate.
Você vibrou de alegria com a destruição de Israel. Mas agora chegou a hora da sua destruição. Eu tratarei vocês da mesma maneira. Monte Seir, você será destruído! Povo de Edom, acabarei com todos vocês, e assim saberão que eu sou o Senhor!”
Como te alegraste sobre la heredad de la casa de Israel, porque fué asolada, así te haré á ti: asolado será el monte de Seir, y toda Idumea, toda ella; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.
As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all of it: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
As you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel because it was desolate, so I will do to you. You will be desolate, Mount Seir, and all Edom, even all of it. Then they will know that I am the LORD.’”
