Me llegó un mensaje del Señor que decía:
Y FUÉ á mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Moreover the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
“Hijo de hombre, mira hacia el monte Seir y profetiza contra él
Hijo del hombre, pon tu rostro hacia el monte de Seir, y profetiza contra él,
Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,
“Son of man, set your face against Mount Seir, and prophesy against it,
Anuncia que esto es lo que dice el Señor Dios: Ten cuidado, porque te voy a condenar, monte Seir. Voy a atacarte y a convertirte en un páramo.
Y dile: Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: He aquí yo contra ti, oh monte de Seir, y extenderé mi mano contra ti, y te pondré en asolamiento y en soledad.
And say unto it, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O mount Seir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate.
and tell it, ‘The Lord GOD says: “Behold, I am against you, Mount Seir, and I will stretch out my hand against you. I will make you a desolation and an astonishment.
Arruinaré tus ciudades; quedarás completamente devastado. Entonces reconocerás que yo soy el Señor.
A tus ciudades asolaré, y tú serás asolado; y sabrás que yo soy Jehová.
I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.
I will lay your cities waste, and you will be desolate. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
“A causa de tu odio permanente hacia los israelitas, dejaste que los atacaran con espadas mientras pasaban por terribles desastres cuando el tiempo de su castigo llegaba a su fin.
Por cuanto tuviste enemistades perpetuas, y esparciste los hijos de Israel á poder de espada en el tiempo de su aflicción, en el tiempo extremadamente malo;
Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end:
“‘“Because you have had a perpetual hostility, and have given over the children of Israel to the power of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time of the iniquity of the end,
Así que mientras yo viva, declara el Señor Dios, dejaré que te ataquen violentamente y te persigan. Como no odiaste el derramamiento de sangre, el derramamiento de sangre vendrá tras de ti.
Por tanto, vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, que á sangre te diputaré, y sangre te perseguirá: y pues la sangre no aborreciste, sangre te perseguirá.
Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee.
therefore, as I live,” says the Lord GOD, “I will prepare you for blood, and blood will pursue you. Since you have not hated blood, therefore blood will pursue you.
“Convertiré el monte Seir en un páramo en ruinas. Aniquilaré a cualquiera que se vaya o que intente regresar.
Y pondré al monte de Seir en asolamiento y en soledad, y cortaré de él pasante y volviente.
Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth.
Thus I will make Mount Seir an astonishment and a desolation. I will cut off from it him who passes through and him who returns.
Llenaré sus montañas de muertos. Los muertos por la espada caerán en sus colinas, valles y todos sus barrancos.
Y henchiré sus montes de sus muertos: en tus collados, y en tus valles, y en todos tus arroyos, caerán ellos muertos á cuchillo.
And I will fill his mountains with his slain men: in thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy rivers, shall they fall that are slain with the sword.
I will fill its mountains with its slain. The slain with the sword will fall in your hills and in your valleys and in all your watercourses.
Te arruinaré para siempre. Tus ciudades no volverán a ser habitadas. Entonces reconocerás que yo soy el Señor.
Yo te pondré en asolamientos perpetuos, y tus ciudades nunca más se restaurarán; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.
I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not return: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
I will make you a perpetual desolation, and your cities will not be inhabited. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
“Porque dijisteis: ‘Estas dos naciones y sus tierras nos pertenecen, y nos apoderaremos de ellos, a pesar de que el Señor estaba allí con ellos’,
Por cuanto dijiste: Las dos naciones y las dos tierras serán mías, y las poseeremos, estando allí Jehová;
Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the LORD was there:
“‘“Because you have said, ‘These two nations and these two countries will be mine, and we will possess it,’ although the LORD was there,
entonces en vida, declara el Señor Dios, trataré con ustedes de la misma manera que mostraron ira y celos hacia ellos en su odio. Se darán cuenta de que te estoy castigando por la forma en que los trataste.
Por tanto, vivo yo, dice el Señor Jehová, yo haré conforme á tu ira, y conforme á tu celo con que procediste, á causa de tus enemistades con ellos: y seré conocido en ellos, cuando te juzgaré.
Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will even do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged thee.
therefore, as I live,” says the Lord GOD, “I will do according to your anger, and according to your envy which you have shown out of your hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them when I judge you.
“También se darán cuenta de que yo, el Señor, escuché todas las cosas desagradables que dijiste sobre la tierra montañosa de Israel cuando anunciaste: ‘¡Las montañas han quedado vacías; son nuestras para tomarlas!’
Y sabrás que yo Jehová he oído todas tus injurias que proferiste contra los montes de Israel, diciendo: Destruídos son, nos son dados á devorar.
And thou shalt know that I am the LORD, and that I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume.
You will know that I, the LORD, have heard all your insults which you have spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, ‘They have been laid desolate. They have been given to us to devour.’
Hiciste muchos alardes atacándome; tenías mucho que decir contra mí. ¡Yo lo escuché por mí mismo!
Y os engrandecisteis contra mí con vuestra boca, y multiplicasteis contra mí vuestras palabras. Yo lo oí.
Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard them.
You have magnified yourselves against me with your mouth, and have multiplied your words against me. I have heard it.”
“Esto es lo que dice el Señor Dios: Te destruiré como celebran todos los demás en el mundo.
Así ha dicho el Señor Jehová: Alegrándose toda la tierra, yo te haré soledad.
Thus saith the Lord GOD; When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate.
The Lord GOD says: “When the whole earth rejoices, I will make you desolate.
Así como ustedes celebraron cuando Israel fue destruido, yo haré lo mismo con ustedes. Monte Seir, te convertirás en un desierto, al igual que el resto de Edom. Entonces reconocerán que yo soy el Señor”.
Como te alegraste sobre la heredad de la casa de Israel, porque fué asolada, así te haré á ti: asolado será el monte de Seir, y toda Idumea, toda ella; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.
As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all of it: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
As you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel because it was desolate, so I will do to you. You will be desolate, Mount Seir, and all Edom, even all of it. Then they will know that I am the LORD.’”
