Y TÚ, hijo del hombre, tómate un adobe, y ponlo delante de tí, y diseña sobre él la ciudad de Jerusalem:
Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, and pourtray upon it the city, even Jerusalem:

Dibuja allí los terraplenes que se usarán para el sitio, los lugares de donde se lanzarán los asaltos, los campamentos enemigos a su alrededor; y también arrietes en derredor de las murallas.
Y pondrás contra ella cerco, y edificarás contra ella fortaleza, y sacarás contra ella baluarte, y asentarás delante de ella campo, y pondrás contra ella arietes alrededor.
And lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, and cast a mount against it; set the camp also against it, and set battering rams against it round about.
Lay siege against it, build forts against it, and cast up a mound against it. Also set camps against it and plant battering rams against it all around.
Y coloca una plancha de hierro entre ti y la ciudad, como si fuera un muro de hierro. ¡Demuestra gráficamente cómo un ejército enemigo capturará a Jerusalén! Hay un significado especial en cada detalle de lo que te he dicho que hagas, pues es una advertencia para el pueblo de Israel.
Tómate también una plancha de hierro, y ponla en lugar de muro de hierro entre ti y la ciudad: afirmarás luego tu rostro contra ella, y será en lugar de cerco, y la sitiarás. Es señal á la casa de Israel.
Moreover take thou unto thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy face against it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.
Take for yourself an iron pan and set it for a wall of iron between you and the city. Then set your face toward it. It will be besieged, and you shall lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.
»Ahora acuéstate sobre tu costado izquierdo durante trescientos noventa días, para mostrar que Israel será castigado por trescientos noventa años mediante cautiverio y opresión. Cada día que estés acostado allí representa un año de castigo que aguarda a Israel.
Y tú dormirás sobre tu lado izquierdo, y pondrás sobre él la maldad de la casa de Israel: el número de los días que dormirás sobre él, llevarás sobre ti la maldad de ellos.
Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity.
“Moreover lie on your left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel on it. According to the number of the days that you shall lie on it, you shall bear their iniquity.

Yo te he dado los años de su maldad por el número de los días, trescientos y noventa días: y llevarás la maldad de la casa de Israel.
For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
For I have appointed the years of their iniquity to be to you a number of days, even three hundred ninety days. So you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
Después, date vuelta y acuéstate sobre tu costado derecho durante cuarenta días, para señalar los años del castigo de Judá. Cada día representará un año.
Y cumplidos estos, dormirás sobre tu lado derecho segunda vez, y llevarás la maldad de la casa de Judá cuarenta días: día por año, día por año te lo he dado.
And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.
“Again, when you have accomplished these, you shall lie on your right side, and shall bear the iniquity of the house of Judah. I have appointed forty days, each day for a year, to you.
Mientras continúa tu demostración del sitio de Jerusalén, acuéstate allí con tu brazo arremangado (para señalar gran fuerza y poder en el ataque contra ella); esto será un gesto simbólico que profetizará su condena.
Y al cerco de Jerusalem afirmarás tu rostro, y descubierto tu brazo, profetizarás contra ella.
Therefore thou shalt set thy face toward the siege of Jerusalem, and thine arm shall be uncovered, and thou shalt prophesy against it.
You shall set your face toward the siege of Jerusalem, with your arm uncovered; and you shall prophesy against it.
Y yo te ataré con cuerdas para que no puedas darte vuelta de un lado al otro hasta que hayas completado todos los días que simbolizarás el castigo para Israel y Judá.
Y he aquí he puesto sobre ti cuerdas, y no te tornarás del un tu lado al otro lado, hasta que hayas cumplido los días de tu cerco.
And, behold, I will lay bands upon thee, and thou shalt not turn thee from one side to another, till thou hast ended the days of thy siege.
Behold, I put ropes on you, and you shall not turn yourself from one side to the other, until you have accomplished the days of your siege.
»Durante los primeros trescientos noventa días come pan hecho de harina mezclada de trigo, cebada, habas, lentejas, ajonjolí y espelta. Junta estas varias clases de harina en un jarro.
Y tú toma para ti trigo, y cebada, y habas, y lentejas, y mijo, y avena, y ponlo en una vasija, y hazte pan de ello el número de los días que durmieres sobre tu lado: trescientos y noventa días comerás de él.
Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and fitches, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof, according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three hundred and ninety days shalt thou eat thereof.
“Take for yourself also wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet, and spelt, and put them in one vessel. Make bread of it. According to the number of the days that you will lie on your side, even three hundred ninety days, you shall eat of it.
Habrás de sacar de esto una ración de doscientos cuarenta gramos por vez, una comida por día.
Y la comida que has de comer será por peso de veinte siclos al día: de tiempo á tiempo lo comerás.
And thy meat which thou shalt eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time shalt thou eat it.

Y usa dos tercios de un litro de agua por día, no más.

Cada día toma harina y prepárala como harías pan de cebada. Mientras todos están observando, lo cocerás sobre un fuego, usando excrementos humanos secos como combustible, y lo comerás».
Y comerás pan de cebada cocido debajo de la ceniza; y lo cocerás á vista de ellos con los estiércoles que salen del hombre.
And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight.
You shall eat it as barley cakes, and you shall bake it in their sight with dung that comes out of man.”
El sentido de este gesto es que el Señor declara que Israel comerá pan contaminado en las tierras de pueblos paganos a las que les enviará en exilio.
Y dijo Jehová: Así comerán los hijos de Israel su pan inmundo, entre las gentes á donde los lanzaré yo.
And the LORD said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, whither I will drive them.
The LORD said, “Even thus will the children of Israel eat their bread unclean, among the nations where I will drive them.”
Luego yo dije: «Oh Señor Dios, ¿por qué debo yo contaminarme empleando excrementos? Yo nunca antes he estado contaminado en toda mi vida. Desde que era niño hasta ahora, jamás he comido ningún animal que haya muerto enfermo o que haya encontrado lastimado o muerto, y nunca he comido de las clases de animales que nuestra ley prohíbe».
Y dije: ¡Ah Señor Jehová! he aquí que mi alma no es inmunda, ni nunca desde mi mocedad hasta este tiempo comí cosa mortecina ni despedazada, ni nunca en mi boca entró carne inmunda.
Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! behold, my soul hath not been polluted: for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is torn in pieces; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.
Then I said, “Ah Lord GOD! Behold, my soul has not been polluted; for from my youth up even until now I have not eaten of that which dies of itself, or is torn of animals. No abominable meat has come into my mouth!”
Entonces el Señor dijo: «Bien, te permito emplear estiércol de vaca, en vez de excrementos humanos».
Y respondióme: He aquí te doy estiércoles de bueyes en lugar de los estiércoles de hombre, y dispondrás tu pan con ellos.
Then he said unto me, Lo, I have given thee cow’s dung for man’s dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread therewith.
Then he said to me, “Behold, I have given you cow’s dung for man’s dung, and you shall prepare your bread on it.”
Luego me dijo: «Hombre mortal, el pan estará restringido en Jerusalén. Será pesado con gran cuidado y comido con temor. Y el agua será distribuida con medida, y bebida con ansiedad.
Díjome luego: Hijo del hombre, he aquí quebrantaré el sostén del pan en Jerusalem, y comerán el pan por peso, y con angustia; y beberán el agua por medida, y con espanto.
Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and with care; and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment:
Moreover he said to me, “Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem. They will eat bread by weight, and with fearfulness. They will drink water by measure, and in dismay;
¡Yo haré que le falte al pueblo pan y agua, y que se miren el uno al otro con terror, y se llenen de angustia y de remordimientos!
Porque les faltará el pan y el agua, y se espantarán los unos con los otros, y se consumirán por su maldad.
That they may want bread and water, and be astonied one with another, and consume away for their iniquity.
that they may lack bread and water, be dismayed one with another, and pine away in their iniquity.
