2Entonces Secanías hijo de Jehiel, de la familia de Elam, se acercó a Esdras y le dijo: «Reconocemos que hemos pecado contra nuestro Dios, porque nos hemos casado con mujeres extranjeras, es decir, que no guardan nuestra fe. Pero aún, a pesar de esto, hay esperanza para Israel.

2Entonces respondió Sechânías hijo de Jehiel, de los hijos de Elam, y dijo á Esdras: Nosotros hemos prevaricado contra nuestro Dios, pues tomamos mujeres extranjeras de los pueblos de la tierra: mas hay aún esperanza para Israel sobre esto.

2And Shechaniah the son of Jehiel, one of the sons of Elam, answered and said unto Ezra, We have trespassed against our God, and have taken strange wives of the people of the land: yet now there is hope in Israel concerning this thing.
