Esdras 10

Und als Esra betete und als er bekannte, weinend und vor dem Haus Gottes hingestreckt, versammelte sich zu ihm aus Israel eine sehr große Versammlung von Männern und Frauen und Kindern; denn das Volk weinte mit vielem Weinen.

Y ORANDO Esdras y confesando, llorando y postrándose delante de la casa de Dios, juntóse á él una muy grande multitud de Israel, hombres y mujeres y niños; y lloraba el pueblo con gran llanto.

Now when Ezra had prayed, and when he had confessed, weeping and casting himself down before the house of God, there assembled unto him out of Israel a very great congregation of men and women and children: for the people wept very sore.

Und Schekanja, der Sohn Jechiels, von den Söhnen Elams, hob an und sprach zu Esra: Wir haben treulos gehandelt gegen unseren Gott und haben fremde Frauen aus den Völkern des Landes heimgeführt; nun aber ist noch Hoffnung für Israel bezüglich dieser Sache.

Entonces respondió Sechânías hijo de Jehiel, de los hijos de Elam, y dijo á Esdras: Nosotros hemos prevaricado contra nuestro Dios, pues tomamos mujeres extranjeras de los pueblos de la tierra: mas hay aún esperanza para Israel sobre esto.

And Shechaniah the son of Jehiel, one of the sons of Elam, answered and said unto Ezra, We have trespassed against our God, and have taken strange wives of the people of the land: yet now there is hope in Israel concerning this thing.

Da stand Esra auf, und er ließ die Obersten der Priester, der Leviten und von ganz Israel schwören, nach diesem Wort zu tun. Und sie schwuren.

Then Ezra rose up from before the house of God, and went into the chamber of Johanan the son of Eliashib: and when he came thither, he did eat no bread, nor drink water: for he mourned because of the transgression of them that had been carried away.

Und sie ließen durch Juda und Jerusalem einen Ruf ergehen an alle Kinder der Wegführung, dass sie sich nach Jerusalem versammeln sollten.

Da versammelten sich alle Männer von Juda und Benjamin innerhalb von drei Tagen nach Jerusalem ... das war der 9. Monat, am 20. des Monats. Und das ganze Volk saß auf dem Platz des Hauses Gottes, zitternd um der Sache willen und infolge der Regengüsse.

Da stand Esra, der Priester, auf und sprach zu ihnen: Ihr habt treulos gehandelt und habt fremde Frauen heimgeführt, um die Schuld Israels zu vermehren.

And Ezra the priest stood up, and said unto them, Ye have transgressed, and have taken strange wives, to increase the trespass of Israel.

Und die ganze Versammlung antwortete und sprach mit lauter Stimme: Nach deinen Worten, so liegt es uns auf zu tun!

Y respondió todo aquel concurso, y dijeron en alta voz: Así se haga conforme á tu palabra.

Aber das Volk ist zahlreich; und es ist die Regenzeit, so dass man nicht draußen zu stehen vermag; auch ist es nicht ein Geschäft von einem Tag oder von zweien, denn viele unter uns haben in dieser Sache übertreten.

Mas el pueblo es mucho, y el tiempo lluvioso, y no hay fuerza para estar en la calle: ni la obra es de un día ni de dos, porque somos muchos los que hemos prevaricado en este negocio.

Lass doch unsere Obersten für die ganze Versammlung dastehen. Und alle, die in unseren Städten sind, die fremde Frauen heimgeführt haben, mögen zu bestimmten Zeiten kommen, und mit ihnen die Ältesten jeder Stadt und ihre Richter, so lange diese Sache währt, bis die Glut des Zorns unseres Gottes von uns abgewendet werde.

Estén ahora nuestros príncipes, los de toda la congregación; y todos aquellos que en nuestras ciudades hubieren tomado mujeres extranjeras, vengan á tiempos aplazados, y con ellos los ancianos de cada ciudad, y los jueces de ellas, hasta que apartemos de nosotros el furor de la ira de nuestro Dios sobre esto.

Let now our rulers of all the congregation stand, and let all them which have taken strange wives in our cities come at appointed times, and with them the elders of every city, and the judges thereof, until the fierce wrath of our God for this matter be turned from us.

Now let our princes be appointed for all the assembly, and let all those who are in our cities who have married foreign women come at appointed times, and with them the elders of every city and its judges, until the fierce wrath of our God is turned from us, until this matter is resolved.”

Nur Jonathan, der Sohn Asaels, und Jachseja, der Sohn Tikwas, traten dagegen auf; und Meschullam und Schabbetai, der Levit, standen ihnen bei.

Und die Kinder der Wegführung taten so. Und es wurden ausgesondert Esra, der Priester, und Männer, Häupter der Väter nach ihren Vaterhäusern, und zwar alle mit Namen; und sie setzten sich nieder am 1. Tag des 10. Monats, um die Sache zu untersuchen.

And they made an end with all the men that had taken strange wives by the first day of the first month.

Und es fanden sich unter den Söhnen der Priester, die fremde Frauen heimgeführt hatten, folgende: von den Söhnen Jeschuas, des Sohnes Jozadaks, und seinen Brüdern: Maaseja und Elieser und Jarib und Gedalja.

Y de los hijos de los sacerdotes que habían tomado mujeres extranjeras, fueron hallados estos: De los hijos de Jesuá hijo de Josadec, y de sus hermanos: Maasías, y Eliezer, y Jarib, y Gedalías;

And among the sons of the priests there were found that had taken strange wives: namely, of the sons of Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren; Maaseiah, and Eliezer, and Jarib, and Gedaliah.
