Esdras 10

Enquanto eu, Esdras, estava curvado no chão diante do templo, chorando, orando e fazendo esta confissão, uma grande multidão de Israel, homens, mulheres e crianças, ajuntou-se ao redor de mim, e todos choravam amargamente comigo.

Y ORANDO Esdras y confesando, llorando y postrándose delante de la casa de Dios, juntóse á él una muy grande multitud de Israel, hombres y mujeres y niños; y lloraba el pueblo con gran llanto.

Now when Ezra had prayed, and when he had confessed, weeping and casting himself down before the house of God, there assembled unto him out of Israel a very great congregation of men and women and children: for the people wept very sore.

Entonces respondió Sechânías hijo de Jehiel, de los hijos de Elam, y dijo á Esdras: Nosotros hemos prevaricado contra nuestro Dios, pues tomamos mujeres extranjeras de los pueblos de la tierra: mas hay aún esperanza para Israel sobre esto.

And Shechaniah the son of Jehiel, one of the sons of Elam, answered and said unto Ezra, We have trespassed against our God, and have taken strange wives of the people of the land: yet now there is hope in Israel concerning this thing.

pois concordamos diante de nosso Deus em separar-nos de nossas esposas e mandá-las de volta com seus filhos. Seguiremos as ordens que o senhor nos der e as ordens daqueles que tremem diante dos mandamentos do nosso Deus. Obedeceremos às leis de Deus.

Ahora pues hagamos pacto con nuestro Dios, que echaremos todas las mujeres y los nacidos de ellas, según el consejo del Señor, y de los que temen el mandamiento de nuestro Dios: y hágase conforme á la ley.

Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the wives, and such as are born of them, according to the counsel of my lord, and of those that tremble at the commandment of our God; and let it be done according to the law.

Tenha coragem e diga-nos como devemos proceder, e cooperaremos em tudo. Portanto, anime-se, e mãos à obra!”

Levántate, porque á ti toca el negocio, y nosotros seremos contigo; esfuérzate, y ponlo por obra.

Arise; for this matter belongeth unto thee: we also will be with thee: be of good courage, and do it.

Então Esdras se levantou e exigiu que os chefes dos sacerdotes, os levitas e todo o povo de Israel jurassem que eles fariam conforme Secanias havia dito. E todos eles juraram.

Entonces se levantó Esdras, y juramentó á los príncipes de los sacerdotes y de los Levitas, y á todo Israel, que harían conforme á esto; y ellos juraron.

Then arose Ezra, and made the chief priests, the Levites, and all Israel, to swear that they should do according to this word. And they sware.

Depois Esdras retirou-se de diante do templo de Deus e entrou na sala de Joanã, filho de Eliasibe. Ele passou a noite ali e recusou todo alimento e toda bebida, pois chorava por causa do pecado de infidelidade dos que voltaram do cativeiro.

Levantóse luego Esdras de delante la casa de Dios, y fuése á la cámara de Johanán hijo de Eliasib: é ido allá, no comió pan ni bebió agua, porque se entristeció sobre la prevaricación de los de la transmigración.

Then Ezra rose up from before the house of God, and went into the chamber of Johanan the son of Eliashib: and when he came thither, he did eat no bread, nor drink water: for he mourned because of the transgression of them that had been carried away.

Depois disso, foi feita uma proclamação por todo o Judá e Jerusalém para que todos os exilados comparecessem em Jerusalém.

E hicieron pasar pregón por Judá y por Jerusalem á todos los hijos de la transmigración, que se juntasen en Jerusalem:

Os líderes e anciãos tinham decidido que qualquer pessoa que se recusasse a vir no prazo de três dias perderia todos os seus bens e seria expulsa da comunidade dos que voltaram do exílio.

Y que el que no viniera dentro de tres días, conforme al acuerdo de los príncipes y de los ancianos, perdiese toda su hacienda, y él fuese apartado de la compañía de los de la transmigración.

And that whosoever would not come within three days, according to the counsel of the princes and the elders, all his substance should be forfeited, and himself separated from the congregation of those that had been carried away.

Dentro de três dias, todos os homens de Judá e de Benjamim chegaram a Jerusalém, e no vigésimo dia do nono mês todo o povo estava assentado no espaço aberto que há diante do templo. Eles estavam tremendo porque o assunto era muito sério e por causa da chuva pesada que caía.

Así todos los hombres de Judá y de Benjamín se reunieron en Jerusalem dentro de tres días, á los veinte del mes, el cual era el mes noveno; y sentóse todo el pueblo en la plaza de la casa de Dios, temblando con motivo de aquel negocio, y á causa de las lluvias.

Então o sacerdote Esdras levantou-se e lhes disse: “Vocês pecaram porque se casaram com mulheres estrangeiras, aumentando a culpa do povo de Israel.

Y levantóse Esdras el sacerdote, y díjoles: Vosotros habéis prevaricado, por cuanto tomasteis mujeres extrañas, añadiendo así sobre el pecado de Israel.

And Ezra the priest stood up, and said unto them, Ye have transgressed, and have taken strange wives, to increase the trespass of Israel.

Confessem os seus pecados ao Senhor, o Deus de seus pais, e façam o que ele ordenar. Separem-se dos povos pagãos ao redor de vocês e das suas mulheres estrangeiras”.

Ahora pues, dad gloria á Jehová Dios de vuestros padres, y haced su voluntad, y apartaos de los pueblos de las tierras, y de las mujeres extranjeras.

Então todo o povo respondeu em voz alta: “Faremos o que você disse.

Y respondió todo aquel concurso, y dijeron en alta voz: Así se haga conforme á tu palabra.

Then all the congregation answered and said with a loud voice, As thou hast said, so must we do.

Then all the assembly answered with a loud voice, “We must do as you have said concerning us.

Mas isto não é coisa que se possa fazer em um dia ou dois, pois há muitos de nós envolvidos nessa questão pecaminosa. E está chovendo tão forte que não podemos ficar aqui fora por mais tempo.

Mas el pueblo es mucho, y el tiempo lluvioso, y no hay fuerza para estar en la calle: ni la obra es de un día ni de dos, porque somos muchos los que hemos prevaricado en este negocio.

But the people are many, and it is a time of much rain, and we are not able to stand without, neither is this a work of one day or two: for we are many that have transgressed in this thing.

Deixe que nossos líderes organizem os julgamentos para nós. Todo aquele que tiver mulher estrangeira virá num dia combinado com os anciãos e os juízes de sua cidade; então cada caso será decidido e a situação será resolvida para que se afaste de nós a ardente ira de nosso Deus por causa do nosso pecado”.

Estén ahora nuestros príncipes, los de toda la congregación; y todos aquellos que en nuestras ciudades hubieren tomado mujeres extranjeras, vengan á tiempos aplazados, y con ellos los ancianos de cada ciudad, y los jueces de ellas, hasta que apartemos de nosotros el furor de la ira de nuestro Dios sobre esto.

Let now our rulers of all the congregation stand, and let all them which have taken strange wives in our cities come at appointed times, and with them the elders of every city, and the judges thereof, until the fierce wrath of our God for this matter be turned from us.

Now let our princes be appointed for all the assembly, and let all those who are in our cities who have married foreign women come at appointed times, and with them the elders of every city and its judges, until the fierce wrath of our God is turned from us, until this matter is resolved.”

Somente Jônatas, filho de Asael, Jaseías, filho de Ticva, Mesulão e Sabetai, o levita, se opuseram a isto.

Fueron pues puestos sobre este negocio Jonathán hijo de Asael, y Jaazías hijo de Tikvah; y Mesullam y Sabethai, Levitas, les ayudaron.

Only Jonathan the son of Asahel and Jahaziah the son of Tikvah were employed about this matter: and Meshullam and Shabbethai the Levite helped them.

E assim fizeram os que voltaram do exílio. Então o sacerdote Esdras escolheu alguns homens entre os chefes dos grupos de famílias como juízes. E o trabalho começou no primeiro dia do décimo mês.

E hicieron así los hijos de la transmigración. Y apartados que fueron luego Esdras sacerdote, y los varones cabezas de familias en la casa de sus padres, todos ellos por sus nombres, sentáronse el primer día del mes décimo para inquirir el negocio.

And the children of the captivity did so. And Ezra the priest, with certain chief of the fathers, after the house of their fathers, and all of them by their names, were separated, and sat down in the first day of the tenth month to examine the matter.

No primeiro dia do primeiro mês terminaram de examinar todos os casos dos homens que haviam se casado com mulheres estrangeiras.

Esta é a lista dos descendentes de sacerdotes que se casaram com mulheres estrangeiras. Os filhos de Jesua, filho de Jozadaque, e seus irmãos, Maaseias, Eliezer, Jaribe e Gedalias.

Y de los hijos de los sacerdotes que habían tomado mujeres extranjeras, fueron hallados estos: De los hijos de Jesuá hijo de Josadec, y de sus hermanos: Maasías, y Eliezer, y Jarib, y Gedalías;

And among the sons of the priests there were found that had taken strange wives: namely, of the sons of Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren; Maaseiah, and Eliezer, and Jarib, and Gedaliah.

Eles fizeram voto de separar-se de suas mulheres e reconheceram sua culpa, e cada um ofereceu um carneiro como sacrifício.

Cada um desses homens tinha mulheres estrangeiras, e muitos tiveram filhos com essas mulheres.

All these had taken strange wives: and some of them had wives by whom they had children.
