Colocaron, pues, el altar de Dios sobre sus basas, a pesar del temor en que les ponían los pueblos idólatras de las religiones circunvecinas, y sobre este altar ofrecieron al Señor el holocausto de la mañana y el de la tarde.
Y asentaron el altar sobre sus basas, bien que tenían miedo de los pueblos de las tierras, y ofrecieron sobre él holocaustos á Jehová, holocaustos á la mañana y á la tarde.
And they set the altar upon his bases; for fear was upon them because of the people of those countries: and they offered burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD, even burnt offerings morning and evening.
In spite of their fear because of the peoples of the surrounding lands, they set the altar on its base; and they offered burnt offerings on it to the LORD, even burnt offerings morning and evening.
