Tendo, pois, chegado o mês sétimo, e já estando os filhos de Israel nas cidades, o povo se ajuntou como um só homem em Jerusalém.

Y LLEGADO el mes séptimo, y ya los hijos de Israel en las ciudades, juntóse el pueblo como un solo hombre en Jerusalem.

E levantaram-se Jesuá filho de Jozadaque, e seus irmãos os sacerdotes, e Zorobabel filho de Sealtiel, e seus irmãos, e edificaram o altar do Deus de Israel, para oferecerem sobre ele ofertas de queima, como está escrito na Lei de Moisés, homem de Deus.

Entonces se levantó Jesuá hijo de Josadec, y sus hermanos los sacerdotes, y Zorobabel hijo de Sealthiel, y sus hermanos, y edificaron el altar del Dios de Israel, para ofrecer sobre él holocaustos, como está escrito en la ley de Moisés varón de Dios.

Then stood up Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and builded the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings thereon, as it is written in the law of Moses the man of God.

E assentaram o altar sobre suas bases, porém com medo sobre si, por causa dos povos das terras; e ofereceram sobre ele ofertas de queima ao SENHOR, ofertas de queima à manhã e à tarde.

E celebraram a festa dos tabernáculos, como está escrito; fizeram ofertas de queima diariamente conforme a regra exigida a cada dia;

Desde o primeiro dia do mês sétimo começaram a apresentar ofertas de queima ao SENHOR; porém ainda não estavam postos os fundamentos do templo do SENHOR.

E no ano segundo de sua vinda à casa de Deus em Jerusalém, no mês segundo, começaram Zorobabel filho de Sealtiel, Jesuá filho de Jozadaque, com os outros irmãos seus, os sacerdotes e os levitas, e todos os que haviam vindo do cativeiro a Jerusalém. E ordenaram aos levitas da idade de vinte anos acima, que cuidassem da casa do SENHOR.

Y en el año segundo de su venida á la casa de Dios en Jerusalem, en el mes segundo, comenzaron Zorobabel hijo de Sealthiel, y Jesuá hijo de Josadec, y los otros sus hermanos, los sacerdotes y los Levitas, y todos los que habían venido de la cautividad á Jerusalem; y pusieron á los Levitas de veinte años arriba para que tuviesen cargo de la obra de la casa de Jehová.

Now in the second year of their coming unto the house of God at Jerusalem, in the second month, began Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the remnant of their brethren the priests and the Levites, and all they that were come out of the captivity unto Jerusalem; and appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to set forward the work of the house of the LORD.

Now in the second year of their coming to God’s house at Jerusalem, in the second month, Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the rest of their brothers the priests and the Levites, and all those who had come out of the captivity to Jerusalem, began the work and appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to have the oversight of the work of the LORD’s house.

Então Jesuá, seus filhos e seus irmãos, Cadmiel e seus filhos, filhos de Judá, se levantaram como um só homem para supervisionarem os que faziam a obra na casa de Deus; com os filhos de Henadade, seus filhos e seus irmãos, levitas.

E quando os construtores do templo do SENHOR puseram os fundamentos, então ordenaram aos sacerdotes, já com as vestimentas e com trombetas, e aos levitas filhos de Asafe com címbalos, para louvarem ao SENHOR, conforme a ordenança de Davi, rei de Israel.

And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the LORD, after the ordinance of David king of Israel.

E cantavam em revezamento, louvando e celebrando ao SENHOR:Porque ele é bom, porque sua bondade sobre Israel dura para sempre!E todo o povo gritava com grande júbilo, louvando ao SENHOR, por causa da fundação da casa do SENHOR.

Y cantaban, alabando y confesando á Jehová, y decían: Porque es bueno, porque para siempre es su misericordia sobre Israel. Y todo el pueblo aclamaba con grande júbilo, alabando á Jehová, porque á la casa de Jehová se echaba el cimiento.

And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.

Porém muitos dos sacerdotes e dos levitas e dos chefes de famílias, já velhos, que haviam visto a primeira casa, quando viram a fundação desta casa, choravam em alta voz, mas muitos outros davam grandes gritos de alegria;

De maneira que o povo não conseguia distinguir as vozes de alegria das vozes de choro do povo; porque o povo gritava com tão grande júbilo, que se podia ouvir o som de muito longe.
