*Et quand arriva le septième mois, les fils d’Israël étant dans leurs villes, le peuple s’assembla comme un seul homme à Jérusalem.

Y LLEGADO el mes séptimo, y ya los hijos de Israel en las ciudades, juntóse el pueblo como un solo hombre en Jerusalem.

Then stood up Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and builded the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings thereon, as it is written in the law of Moses the man of God.

Y asentaron el altar sobre sus basas, bien que tenían miedo de los pueblos de las tierras, y ofrecieron sobre él holocaustos á Jehová, holocaustos á la mañana y á la tarde.

Et la seconde année de leur arrivée à la maison de Dieu à Jérusalem, au second mois, Zorobabel, fils de Shealthiel, et Jéshua, fils de Jotsadak, et le reste de leurs frères, les sacrificateurs et les lévites, et tous ceux qui étaient venus de la captivité à Jérusalem, commencèrent ; et ils établirent les lévites, depuis l’âge de 20 ans et au-dessus, pour surveiller l’œuvre de la maison de l’Éternel.

Y en el año segundo de su venida á la casa de Dios en Jerusalem, en el mes segundo, comenzaron Zorobabel hijo de Sealthiel, y Jesuá hijo de Josadec, y los otros sus hermanos, los sacerdotes y los Levitas, y todos los que habían venido de la cautividad á Jerusalem; y pusieron á los Levitas de veinte años arriba para que tuviesen cargo de la obra de la casa de Jehová.

Now in the second year of their coming unto the house of God at Jerusalem, in the second month, began Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the remnant of their brethren the priests and the Levites, and all they that were come out of the captivity unto Jerusalem; and appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to set forward the work of the house of the LORD.

Now in the second year of their coming to God’s house at Jerusalem, in the second month, Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the rest of their brothers the priests and the Levites, and all those who had come out of the captivity to Jerusalem, began the work and appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to have the oversight of the work of the LORD’s house.

Then stood Jeshua with his sons and his brethren, Kadmiel and his sons, the sons of Judah, together, to set forward the workmen in the house of God: the sons of Henadad, with their sons and their brethren the Levites.

Et lorsque ceux qui bâtissaient posèrent les fondements du temple de l’Éternel, on fit assister les sacrificateurs revêtus †de leurs robes, avec des trompettes, et les lévites, fils d’Asaph, avec des cymbales, pour louer l’Éternel selon les directions de David, roi d’Israël.

Y cuando los albañiles del templo de Jehová echaban los cimientos, pusieron á los sacerdotes vestidos de sus ropas, con trompetas, y á Levitas hijos de Asaph con címbalos, para que alabasen á Jehová, según ordenanza de David rey de Israel.

And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the LORD, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the LORD, after the ordinance of David king of Israel.

Et ils s’entre-répondaient en louant et en célébrant l’Éternel : Car il est bon, car sa bonté envers Israël †demeure à toujours. Et tout le peuple poussa de grands cris, en louant l’Éternel, parce qu’on posait les fondements de la maison de l’Éternel.

Y cantaban, alabando y confesando á Jehová, y decían: Porque es bueno, porque para siempre es su misericordia sobre Israel. Y todo el pueblo aclamaba con grande júbilo, alabando á Jehová, porque á la casa de Jehová se echaba el cimiento.

And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.

Et beaucoup d’entre les sacrificateurs, et d’entre les lévites, et d’entre les chefs des pères, les vieillards qui avaient vu la première maison, pleuraient à haute voix lorsque les fondements de cette maison furent posés devant leurs yeux, et beaucoup poussaient des cris de joie, en élevant leur voix ;

Y muchos de los sacerdotes y de los Levitas y de los cabezas de los padres, ancianos que habían visto la casa primera, viendo fundar esta casa, lloraban en alta voz, mientras muchos otros daban grandes gritos de alegría.

But many of the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers, who were ancient men, that had seen the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, wept with a loud voice; and many shouted aloud for joy:
